I made an online order on 03/08/2025. I purchased several items but I noticed the strawberries were fill of mold on 03/09/2025. I went to the Aldi store I originally made the purchase from (***********, **) on 03/09/2025 to replace the strawberries. Most stores have a way to go directly to the customer service when you are returning items but with Aldi you basically have to walk through the store to get to the front and as always, there are never any associates around to help. I first got in line and wondered if I could go to self check out or where I go to make a return or exchange so with no one around to help, I skipped the line to speak with the only Aldi employee visible who was working the cash register. I explained that the strawberry I ordered was full of mold and I would like a replacement. I already had the replacement in hand, the cash register worker told me I had to stand in line. This is absurd and very poor customer service. Why doesn't ********************** have any associates around to help, why do I need to walk through the store if I simply need a refund or exchange. Why does it take waiting in line for 10 minters to simply exchange a $2 item, not including my time to drive to the store, this is a complete waste of time. I spoke with the manager of the store and he was no help, he doesn't see that the current way exchanges/refunds are done are inefficient and unfair to customer who have already spent their money. It appears that Aldi cares more about taking your money then providing good service on all fronts. Just as fast as you take my money you should be willing to return it and not put up barriers to make assisting customers after the purchase more of a headache than it should be and harder than spending money. The check out lines are always horrible and your stories don't seem to care. If exchanges can't be handled more efficiently then you clearly don't deserve me as a paying customer.Business Response

My wife and I visited the store on Feb 26, 2025 early in the morning to purchase an advertised item that indicated the ad was only good as long as they had the item in stock. The item was "Cattlemen's Ranch Fresh USDA Choice Corned Beef Brisket Point Cut" and the price was $2.99 per pound. Upon arrival we looked for the product and was only able to locate the "flat" cut. We asked an employee that was stocking where the product was and he replied "we didn't get any" and did not know if they would.We felt that as we were very early, and the ad specified "Available while quantities last" that something was wrong. We decided to take two "flat" packages to the cashier along with other purchases, to determine if they could be substituted. The cashier indicated that this was not possible. We asked to see the manager, and the cashier called him. The manager came to the front and also indicated that substitution was not an option. We purchased our other items and left.This seems to be a *************** type of advertisement that is common to Aldi.1. We were among the first to look for the product that was advertised, and the product was not available.2. We were advised by a store employee that they did not have nor were they expecting to receive the product.3. We were advised by the store cashier and the store manager that substitution was not an option.4. The wording on the ad made a "rain check" not an option.5. We were simply out of luck.I used the on line complaint form that I found after much searching and have not received a call or any other communication. The number of the complaint is in the order tracking space below. It is my belief that the ad was placed with Aldi fully aware that they would not have the product. I was shopping at the Aldi located in roselle ********** came across a consumer buying 10 dozen eggs where the sign says only 2 cartons of eggs so who let that go thru not fair to us the same thing happened at ****** not sure which one they bought at 30 cartons customers were really angry and all management said they are paid for and shop rite at least has signs to state how many you are able to buy these stores should not be allowed to buy eggs for their stores no fair that does include all stores even located in ******************* and *******.Business Response

I went into Aldi today February 26, 2025 at 11:30am. While shopping I needed to use the restroom. There are two restrooms, I asked to use the restroom & was told no; I believe from manager. I said to her why cant I use the bathroom, she states to me activity that shouldnt be is taken place in the bathroom. I told her I really needed to use the restroom. After going back & forth she obliged. I know if you have a business youre suppose to have a restroom for ****************** I will also be reaching out to ***. Still they should give the key to guests that are deserving. Again I am 62 & have to be begging to use a restroom; come on that shouldnt be. On Friday 2/21 I went to Aldi Store #** located at ************************************************************ at 7:02pm Easter hour. I was charge for a product I didnt have in my cart Watermelon Seeded $5.29 (+taxes) this is not the first time that the cashier charge me additional, last week she passed me two additional canned of tomatoes, Instead of correct the errors they made, the prefer overcharge and continued through the products in the rush to assist the next customer, Im asking to review the camera because I want to know where is the watermelon that was charge that I never bought, this is unacceptable. So I go online to customer service in the ********************** website and they answer to go to the store, where there is not even customer service in site, just one cashier that dont want to help in anything, I dont know where is the ALDI promise in the customer service, is just terrible, but whats upset me the must is that is not the first time the charge me for items I didnt purchase, and I believed Im not the only one, but this is enough I want to know where the big watermelon is, review the cameras! I went to Aldi, store #** at *************************************** In ************, **, on 2/21/2025. My cashier was *****. ***** rang one of my items up twice, when I brought it to her attention, she processed the refund but was extremely rude. In my opinion, if the cashier has messed up, then she shouldn't be yelling at the customer. Always c*** customer service at this location. Then, I never got the refund. I saw it post to my bank account, and then be taken off. I really needed this money over the weekend and now I don't have it. And it doesn't look like I'm getting it back. You cannot call the stores as Aldi is cheap and they won't hire any customer service. They took my original receipt so I'm giving info. from return receipt. I want my money back. I will never be shopping here again. Not having customer service because you want to rip people off and not deal with the customer is poor.Business Response

On 2/13/25 I purchased 4 bottles of wine at Aldi grocery store at ********************************************************* The display can be seen clearly marked at 3.99 per bottle, I noticed later on my receipt they rang in at 5.99 per bottle. On 2/18/24 I went back to the store to get the difference refunded, I went back to the same display that was still marked wrong 5 days later, took a photo with my phone and showed the cashier. He radio'd his manager and she said she could not discount alcohol, and he told me there was nothing he could do about it.Business Response

I placed an order on the ALDI app this morning 2/13/2025 and found it strange that I didnt receive any notifications about my order all morning. So I went to the app again to check, then called the corporate line which simply redirects me to the website (genius) and decided to stop by the store to double check. I was informed by the associate that there was a system wide issue with the online ordering. I asked how to get a refund and she redirects me back to the app again. The option to cancel the order is not available on the app either. I am then told to call the corporate numberhere we are again back at square one. I am not going to bash the associate because she was not rude to me BUT it felt like there were no real solutions offered in this situations and now Im down $91 for absolutely no reason. Groceries are way too expensive for a store to play with our money like this. As a loyal customer who loves the products and prices, this has me thinking about never returning again. There needs to be a better system put in place to address customer issues on the spot and no, not with a phone number that leads you back to the website. As a current grad student studying ************************ and Public Relations, this is a stain on the ALDI brand. Myself and several others have taken to social media to express our frustrations on the ALDI USA app's Instagram page and I even saw a TikTok about this issue. However, none of the social media managers are responding. There have been zero emails or notifications sent out to explain what the issue is or how/when we can expect our money back. I even saw a mom who stated she spent her last few dollars trying to purchase groceries today through the app and now she doesn't know what to do. I am extremely disappointed and beyond frustrated with how you all have handled this situation. Do better and give me my money back!Business Response

The customer was advised that their order had gotten stuck in our system, and for this reason we would be escalating a request for the order to be canceled. We also advised that once the order was canceled, a notification would be sent to the email associated with their online ordering account advising of this.
