    I had Windy City public adjusters come to my home and filed a claim through my insurance to have my roof repaired and siding. Initially, my insurance did not want to approve the siding repair. I have been going back-and-forth with Mac from Windy City since April 1924 to have the work that was approved to be completed. The company came did my house roof but did not do the shed roof. I was told that they would come back later in the week nobody ever came. It took several months to get them to come and do the siding after Mac had gotten a second adjuster to do a claim forthe siding before the that claim took place while they were doing my roof somebody fell through my roof and created damages inside the home where my lamp was broke they attempted to make a claim on my insurance for those damages, which was denied. my insurance company who I was with since 1996 dropped me. Ive been going back-and-forth with Windy City to get the work finished most recently theycame in. They did the window and door wraps which were horrendously done and the moment they came I told them I was not happy with work. It took three business days for them to complete upon which they never came during times that they had said they were going to come.They came when I asked them not to Come. They left nails all over my driveway. The work was subpar. They promised me from the moment I complained that they were gonna have adifferent team come out they never did. It was the same two guys for the whole entirety of the work then when I said photos, they tell that theyre sorry Im not satisfied. I can have a handyman come out and fix it. Theres still several things that did not get completed, but were paid out by my insurance my gutters Ive always told them from the beginningthat I needed them done by leaf guard because thats who had originally installed them and in fact werent even paid for at the time of the I was still paying on them. I have yet to get the monies for my gutters.

    Weve been handling two claims for ****** Jadamil.

    The first one has been fully completed, and all work is finalized.

    The second claim, which involved full siding replacement, was completed approximately two months ago. All work has been done, and were now in the final stages of closing it out with the insurance.

    At this point, were simply waiting to schedule a time to officially close out the claim, drop off the warranties, and consider the project fully paid and finalized.

    Please let us know a convenient time to wrap this up.

    Someone knocked on my door one day, told me they were from windy city, and showed me all the proof. It was the exact moment I was in need because it was raining inside my living room, and the guy said yes, he would handle the situation. But I don't know what was happening; when he came for a picture, he didn't take the garage picture, and the insurance asked for it. It took them a year to submit the picture, and the guys who came to my house were not answering the phone. When I texted him that I would *** him now, he gave me a different number to call. I called the number he gave me, and the lady on the phone said they forgot to submit the picture and would schedule another picture day, but they didn't show up, and there were no calls. I called them, and the next appointment was in 2 months. They came and took pictures, but I don't know what they did with those pictures. The insurance company needed pictures again since I have been calling and leaving voicemails, but nobody answered or returned my calls. My problem is that they ignore my calls, don't care whether it is raining in my house, and have not done the job for two years without explanation. I even asked the office to cancel the claim because it was raining in my house, and it would cause more damage. It has been almost two years since this scenario has been ongoing.

    2/27 a person comes out & obviously walks through my yard as he left both gates open. Speaks to my husband & advises we have hail damage & says he can give a quote. Asks my husband to sign the quote (very suspicious) and then all of a sudden my insurance company has a claim for a new roof & siding. My house is brick NOT no siding. So because my husband signed a document they put his signature on a *************** the claim to my insurance company. My husband called yesterday to advise he needed a cancellation letter per my insurance company the person that stated he was the manager hung up on my husband 3 times and used foul language when speaking to my husband.

    We were representing ***** an insurance claim he decided to let us do the work and sign a construction agreement. His settlement was for $11,601.94. The only issue that he had was his deductible was $5070 now he gave us a certified check for $3000 For the deductible we explain to them that we still need to collect the other$ 2000 which at that time he said he didnt have the money so based on our public adjuster agreement contract we cut him a check back for his 70% value and Windy City collected our fee  We gave a check on January 26 to the homeowner for $6051.35 since we did actually collect an insurance check we are obligated to pay our homeowners back if they dont proceed with the work.  Most of the other complaints we have not yet to receive any payment.
    This matter has been resolved, thank you

    In April due to hail damage we contacted windy city public adjusters, ********************** came out and contacted my home owners insurance, a check arrived for roof repair I heard nothing from them until August, due to unforseen medical issues I didn't think to Chase them down, He picked up a personal check from me and had me pick out a color for shingles. since then it has been call after call about picking out a shingle color whenever we try to make steps to move forward. I was promised a call on a Wednesday and a time to do an app for ******** the call never came however on Friday I got a call yet again about picking out colors for shingles I have screen shots of all calls that came in bordering on harassment of them asking for the check they had already cashed in august! one hand has NO clue what the other is doing, and I have kept the messages as well. At this point my health can't deal with this level of ridiculousness and unprofessionalism we just want a refund the last time I asked for one I thought we were going to get the work done but it was yet another call from yet another person asking to set up a time to pick out a color for shingles... Sadly. At this point I wouldn't trust them to put a roof on my home. We need the funds back so we can move forward with a local company and a ****** learned.

Unfortunately she has some non-recoverable money that cant be collected based on her coverage that she chose with her insurance company as well as a deductible we mention to her that she would have to pay this out-of-pocket in order for us to do the work. We have been negotiating with ******* in order to get her roof installed. She much rather move forward and take the money and not do the repairs so we are working at this time to close out this claim and get her funds right away. Home owner happy and satisfied.

    SCAM!!!! We have been ghosted by the Company for over a year now. They will not return emails or phone calls and randomly show up at my door demanding their 30% since we will not use them. The never showed up to scheduled appointments and never returned the insurance adjustors phone calls. They have never provided a quote and will only do so after tear off but have already told me that the insurance payment will not cover most of it. The forged the contract that I only received 6 months after they showed up at my door. *** will not return phone calls and is rude! My insurance premium has shot up because of this claim they submitted and I do not even have a new roof to show for it. After, reading more and more of these 1 star reviews, it sounds like they pry on people for the 30%, forge documents, and ghost people. I will be taking legal action.

    Hi, thank you for reaching out after reviewing our notes and documents. Our company is not a scam. We actually get amazing results for customers like you. We got your roof entirely replaced by the insurance based on storm related damage is and have not been paid. We are open business  hours Monday through Friday 9 AM to 4 PM Office phone number ************. We are also open on Saturdays 9 AM to 4 PM. We received a roofing settlement last year and we have never received one payment from the insurance company to even begin the job. The homeowner must have the insurance check which we need to be able to start the work. She also did pick out her shingle colors. This must be a miscommunication but hopefully we can get this resolved and work together. We work with hundreds of customers. Our goal is to get the roof replaced. If ***** doesnt want to work with us, to do the construction we are *********** a percentage fee now thats the choice of the homeowner not our choice. ******** also has a state law that all deductibles must be paid. Her deductible is $1500 which is 35%of the value of the work which would also need to be collected. Hopefully we can come up with an agreement and get this roof completed. Thank you.

    I am rejecting this response because: A. There has been minimal communication with the company after numerous attempts to contact them. B. I did not sign any document stating a fee is owed C. I do have the stale dated check that the Company showed up at my door asking for the day I received it even after me telling them we will not be proceeding with their work D. The deductible was taken by insurance before the check was issued. E. I have told them numerous times that we will give them the 30% of the check we have for their time but they are not satisfied in that. They want more from insurance.

    We have documentation of communication with this homeowner. We havent spoke to her. Her boyfriend was very nasty on the phone and threatened us on the phone if we didnt sign over the insurance they were going file a report  we do have a contract that states that if we handled insurance side or entitled to 30% of the value settled now if they wanted us to do the work like we want to do for them they had to pay the deductible deductible is chosen by the homeowner and insurance company. Therefore we dont make those numbers up thats taken up by the insurance which we need to get received an order do the work. Waving deductibles in the state of ******** is a fraudulent matter . also, just a reminder weve done all our services and were never paid right now. Its a theft of services because they are holding the insurance check without giving us our service fee.

    I am rejecting this response because:

    I never signed any document/contract stating that I owed 30% and the gentleman that came to my door never disclosed that information either. 
    The deductible was paid to the insurance company already- they deducted that from the payout. 
    The numerous employees I have spoken to have told me that I will still have to pay thousands of dollars out of pocket and that the insurance check does not cover all of the work. That is unacceptable-  I am not paying out of pocket for repairs that were supposed to be covered by insurance. Your business provided no quote or paperwork to insurance stating what the repairs would cost. The payout was from the insurance adjuster coming out, not you. No one from your company showed up at the multiple meetings with the insurance company. 
    We did also state that we would give the 30% of the insurance check we have just to be done with this whole thing and we would get the repairs done elsewhere. Your company refused that offer and still wanted more money.

    6-21-22 ********************************* came by home and stated he could get my roof repaired through insurance. He pulled out an iPad and stated need a signature to authorize contacting my insurance company. Two months later got a check and a scope of work for siding. When they finally showed up for the fourth appointment time, I informed the employee I was not going to have them do the work. I received several threats from ********************* thus ended with me calling the police to remove them from my property. No they have forged a contract that stats I agreed to paying them 30% of any claim approved. The siding was never even discussed. They never talked to me about my roof , even when their office finally answered my call they stated a guy will come out to pick out shingles. I had to ask the why if the roof was never approved. This company is fraudulently signing people up for 30% commissions under the guise of insurance. This is illegal and needs to be stopped. I will not be strong armed into giving them money, and will be seeking legal actions against them.

    Thank you for reaching out after reviewing our documents in our notes . *** met with the homeowner and had him sign a public adjuster agreement which allowed us to reach out to the insurance to file an insurance claim. State Farm approved all decided to be replaced due to hail damage what *** was trying to do he was he was requesting that we pull a shingle at the house so they can test because the roof had damages as well. Which state farm missed. He was only trying to do his job to help ******************** get everything approved. Insurance was supposed to approve from the storm related damages. Yes, we are a fee for service business and we dont charge a percentage as long as we do the work, but since *************************** wants to keep the money and not do the work, we are entitled for services. In fact, we did get ***** a nice settlement of $25,599.82 he would be getting more money but he doesnt want to move forward with the shingles test results ***** Is probably missing another $20,000 just for the roof.
    Hopefully we can move forward and get the work completed. Thank you

    *** came to my house 5/22 offering a free roof i was interested only if the gutters came with the roof job. i specify to not to file the claim unless he was going to be sure that the gutters was included he insured me that he would look into it and get back to me days later claim was filed 1 he said he would bring a copy of the contract he never did 2 he insured me that my insurance wouldn't go up but THIS YEAR ITS HIGHER then previous years 3 he assured me that it would take a few months to do the job but its been over a year and no work has been done 4 he promise me that I wasn't going to have to pay ANYTHING NOW HE WANTS ME TO PAY **** NOTHING HAS BEEN DONE AND NOW RAIN GETTING WORSER AND I WORRY ******* GOING TO LEAK AND MAKE THE DAMAGE MUCH MUCH WORSER

After reaching out to the Garcias they informed us they wanted us to complete the work and we worked out the details the roof was completed November 18, 2023 and the gutters were also installed. Homeowner is extremely happy miscommunication on what was approved from the insurance and what was not approved.

    Windy City Public Adjusters completed a new roof on my home March of 2022. They failed to remove the hanging gutter from side of house and was called several times to have it removed. The Public Adjuster MAC made several promises to come and have the gutter remove. Every time he and I speak, he was having staffing issues and didn't have the man-power to perform the job. The removal of the gutter to this day (6/12/2023) is still yet to be removed. Back in August of 2022, birds have begun to get trap in an opening side of the Chimney which never happened the 11 years I live in this home. I contact MAC of this issues, he made several promises to come out and address this issue. May of 2023, MAC call me regarding adding a solar roof, I reminded of the issue that was not completed. One again, *** promised to have the work done. On Sunday June 11th, another bird is trapped is the ceiling/roof again. *** was immediately notified of this and was sent a video. On Monday June 12th, I contact Mac. *** said " My guys and I are busy working on putting up solar panels on roofs. I then said to him, "Who should be the priority". He said, " I will get to your job when I can". I am so very outdone with this company and must call another roofing company out to correct their error. Could you please address this concern.
