This is in response to your BBB inquiry. Afni appreciates the opportunity to respond
to the consumer’s concerns. On July 25,
2022, A*** ********* *** ******* ******** **** ******* ******* ** ********** ***** **** ******* ** ************, with Afni for collections on
the balance of $101.23.
The account is for services established on August 1, 2020,
until AT&T considered the account delinquent on October 2, 2020. The service address associated with the
account is *** ********* **** ******** ******* ****** ** *****. Afni mailed the initial notice of the account
on or about July 30, 2022. On September
11, 2022, Afni furnished the credit reporting agencies with notice of the
account.
On November 3, 2022, Afni received this complaint. This was Afni’s first contact with the
consumer. In response, Afni ceased
communication and initiated an investigation. Afni has attached copies of the account billing statements to this
response; these are provided as validation of the account. To
address the consumer’s concerns, Afni is not in receipt of any disputes from
the consumer or the credit reporting agencies, as this complaint is the first
notification Afni regarding a dispute on this account. Afni mailed the initial
notice on or about July 30, 2022, with no notice of returned mail. Afni will send a request to the credit
reporting agencies to remove the account from the consumer’s credit
report. Please be aware that it can take
the credit reporting agencies anywhere from 0 to 60 days to update consumer
credit reports. Afni has no control over
how quickly the credit reporting agencies update consumer credit reports. However, this does not mean that the account
is not due and owing, simply that Afni will no longer furnish the account to
the credit reporting agencies. Afni
trusts this response has addressed the consumer’s concerns, but if questions
remain, or if they would like to discuss the account, they may contact a Consumer

An auto accident that occurred at a red light on 10/23/2021. It is claimed I owe damages for the amount of over $4,000. This accident that has been claimed against me had a police report on the scene that noted that NO DAMAGES WERE MADE for this accident. On the police report I have in my possession along with pictures of both my vehicle and the other party’s vehicle show no damages on her vehicle. This claim brought against me shows parts and items of this vehicle that mine didn’t make any contact that she had gotten fixed and is trying to sabotage/blackmail me into paying for. I have a lawyer for this matter and have sent many dispute forms to AFNI subrogation claims department stating they in violation of my rights and for not proving the debt I owe is caused by the accident that occurred on the date of 10/23/2021. My vehicle bumped her hitch on the back of the other party’s SUV and left no damage at all. Nobody was hurt. The officers told us to go our separate ways. I will not be paying for damages claimed against me that are separate from her own vehicle maintenance needed to be fixed. It was 2 full months after the accident that the other party decided to go get her vehicle fixed and due to the nature of the weather she may of been involved with a different accident or struck an object due to the snow/sleet/rain conditions. This is in response to your BBB inquiry. Afni appreciates the opportunity to respond
to the claimant’s concerns. On March
24, 2022, ******* ********* forwarded the subject account, ******* ********* account
#: ************* ***** **** ******* ** ********* ***, with Afni for resolution
on the balance of $4,379.67.
The claim is from an accident which occurred on October 23,
2021, involving a vehicle that was listed as driven by the claimant, **** ******* **** ***** ****** *** ** ***************** with license plate: *******. The address provided by ******* ********* for
the claimant is ** ****** **** ***** *********** ** ****** On April 11, 2022, the claimant spoke with an
Afni representative and stated a dispute regarding this account. The Afni
representative requested for estimates to be sent to the claimant and they were
mailed to the claimant on the same day. On May 10, 2022, Afni received a
written letter of dispute.
On November 1, 2022, Afni received this complaint. In response, Afni ceased communication and initiated
an investigation. To address the
claimant’s concerns, this is a tort, or wrongful act. There were no services provided to Mr. ******
and ******* ********* is pursuing Mr. ****** as he was the driver of the
vehicle that struck ******* *********** *nsured and was found to be responsible
for the accident based on the investigation completed by ******* ********* and
the attached police report. Per the
attached police report, vehicle 1(Mr. ******) was traveling northbound on
Harlem Avenue and was stopped at the light at ***** ******* The light turned green, and Mr. ******
thought traffic was beginning to move in front of him and rear-ended vehicle 2
(Farmers insured). Mr. ****** was given
a citation. ******* ********* has completed their investigation and has found
that the claimant was at fault for the accident and listed as the driver on the
police report. Afni has confirmed that
on the date of loss there was not valid insurance to cover the damages that Farmers
Insurance had to pay out to make their insured whole again. Again, this is a tort, or wrongful act and no
services were provided to the claimant. Additionally, on September 13, 2022, ******* ********* requested Afni to
cease collections and return the account. Afni is no longer the subrogation agency handling the subject
account. Further inquiries regarding the

The account has incorrect information such as “Name, Address, Phone number.” Which would be considered fraudulent.
I’ve already gotten this collection removed from my credit report in May of 2022. This is another collection agency collecting for the same account that’s involved in litigation and shows the wrong information. That goes against Many consumer laws and consumer reporting laws.

the balance of $1,222.06.
The account is for services established on July 1, 2019,
until Sprint considered the account delinquent on November 2, 2019. Afni mailed the initial notice of the account
on or about July 27, 2022. On September
11, 2022, Afni furnished the credit reporting agencies with notice of the
account. On October 13, 2022, Afni
received a dispute from the credit reporting agencies, reviewed all relevant
information, and responded appropriately.
On October 24, 2022, Afni received this complaint. This was Afni’s first contact with the
consumer. In response, Afni ceased
communication and initiated an investigation. To address the consumer’s concern, when a
consumer submits a dispute through the credit reporting agencies, Afni responds
directly to the credit reporting agencies. The account was updated as potential identity theft as the consumer
denied knowledge of any service with Sprint. Afni encourages the consumer to visit Sprint's fraud website at
www.sprint.com/fraud, which discusses the process and documentation needed for
the fraud investigation. Placing a fraud alert with the credit reporting
agencies is a suggestion and not required to investigate a fraud claim. The consumer may also contact Sprint directly
if they have any questions regarding the fraud process at ***** ********* Afni will send a request to the credit
reporting agencies to remove the account from the consumer’s credit
report. Please be aware that it can take

In September of 2022, I was reviewing my credit file & came across numerous collection which I did not recognize, know existed or authorize. I contacted the companies to inform them of the issue. They instructed me to file a complaint with bbb.org & credit an BBB complaint report for their records. The following information listed is inaccurate & opened due to identity theft. Please see the following information is blocked from my credit report as I did not benefit or received any goods or services from these account. Afni, Inc sent me a letter via mail for a collection debt amount of $1612. In their letter Afni, Inc company stated “How can you dispute the debt?
• Call or write to us by October 17, 2022, to dispute all or part of the debt. If you do not, we will assume that our information is correct.
• If you write to us by October 17, 2022, “WE MUST STOP” collection on any amount you dispute until we send you information that shows you owe the debt. We accept disputes electronically at www.afnicollections.com or via email at [email protected].”
Via the supporting attachments it has not been 30 days yet alone five days when the company responded via email on Oct 17th, stating they'd investigate. This company has violated my rights by furnishing on my credit report without my consent. The investigation itself has not yet been completed nor did I receive information via mail stating the outcome solution that they said they'd do. Their letter also stated they'd stop collection on any amount yet still reported on my credit report. I also notified them in my dispute letter not to report on my credit report.
