I be having problems the vehicle and the dealer told me I have a warranty for the car and every mechanic I went to they said they dont cover it and I try to return it and they say they wont do anything about itBusiness Response

Dear Mr. *********************** you for reaching out regarding your concerns with your vehicle and associated warranty coverage. I appreciate the opportunity to address your situation.
After reviewing your account, I see that you purchased your vehicle from ********************** a little over a year ago. At that time, you were provided with a 30-Day Warranty/1000 miles, as well as an extended service contract at no additional cost through ************************** Warranty, which covers the vehicle for 24 months or ****** miles. You were also given a written warranty contract that explains the coverage details, claims process, deductibles, and other important information.
I understand that you have experienced some mechanical issues with the vehicle. Given that you have driven the vehicle for over ****** miles, its important to note that the warranty will cover claims only if the issues are related to covered items, and if you have maintained the vehicle as required. However, upon reviewing the warranty portal, I did not find any claims submitted by you or any mechanic, which suggests that either the repair shop did not work with the warranty or the issues may not be covered.
As the finance company, our responsibility is to provide you with the loan for the vehicle, and we are not able to cover maintenance or repairs.I recommend contacting your warranty company directly or reaching out to the dealer for a copy of your service contract if you no longer have it.
If you are considering surrendering the vehicle voluntarily, please give us a call at ************. We can provide you with information about the collection process and clarify that returning the vehicle does not void your contract or financial obligations.
Should you have any further questions or need assistance, please do not hesitate to reach out.
Thank you,

recently reviewed my credit report and noticed an inaccurate and invalid account reported by ********************** Bond. This account is not valid, and its presence on my report is a violation of the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA).Under the ****, all reported accounts must be accurate, verifiable, and legally collectible. This account does not meet these standards, and I am requesting its immediate removal. I have not received proper validation of this debt, and without sufficient proof, it should not be reported.I am formally disputing this entry and requesting that it be deleted from my credit report. If the furnisher cannot verify the accuracy and legitimacy of the account, it must be removed in compliance with federal law.Business Response

Dear Mr. ******************** you for your recent complaint to the Better Business Bureau regarding the account reported by ********************** Bond and Investment Corporation. We appreciate the opportunity to address your concerns and provide clarification regarding your account.
Upon reviewing your records, we found that you purchased a vehicle from ***************** Corporation on January 11, 2021, with financing provided by our company. Unfortunately, the vehicle was involved in an accident, and your insurance claim was denied. As a result, we followed the necessary legal procedures and sold the vehicle at auction on March 13, 2024.
During a conversation with our collections department, you indicated that you did not wish to reclaim the vehicle due to the repair costs exceeding its value, and you expressed your intent to continue making payments. However, we have not received any further payments from you since that discussion.
As stipulated in your retail installment contract, you remain responsible for the outstanding balance on your account, including any applicable late fees and interest. We understand that this situation may be frustrating, and we are here to assist you in resolving any questions or concerns you may have.
If you would like to discuss your account further or request copies of any legal documents you signed, please do not hesitate to contact our collections department at ************. We are committed to working with you to find a resolution.
Thank you for your attention to this matter, and we look forward to your response.

Dear Ms. ****************** you for reaching out to us regarding your concerns about the notice of wage garnishment following the voluntary surrender of your vehicle. We appreciate the opportunity to address your situation and clarify our position.
After reviewing our records, we confirmed that you purchased a vehicle on April 1, 2017. Unfortunately, after the vehicle accident, the car was left at a body shop, and while you provided us with the shop's information on December 3, 2018, there were outstanding fees owed to that shop that you were responsible for covering.
Its important to understand that a voluntary surrender does not negate your obligations under the loan agreement. As a lender, we are required to uphold the terms of the contract, and this includes any remaining balance owed on the loan. While returning the vehicle may minimize our ability to recover the unit and sell it at auction, you remain responsible for any outstanding fees related to the vehicle and the loan.
This is the reason behind the notice of garnishment. We are following standard legal procedures to collect the amounts owed. If you have any further questions about the garnishment process or your account, I encourage you to reach out to our collections department at ************. They are equipped to assist you with any inquiries you may have.
We hope this explanation helps clarify your situation and the reasons for our actions.
Thank you for your understanding.
Sincerely,

Dear Ms. ******* *********,
I hope this message finds you well. I am sorry to hear that you are experiencing mechanical issues with your vehicle. As I mentioned previously, every vehicle undergoes a thorough safety and mechanical pre-sale inspection. While we strive to ensure that all our used vehicles meet high standards, we understand that unexpected issues can arise.
I'd like to remind you that with your purchase, you received a 30-day/1,000-mile warranty at no additional cost. Additionally, you had the option to opt into an extended warranty for added peace of mind after our warranty period concluded.
If you opted out of the extended warranty and are now facing significant mechanical issues, please dont hesitate to reach out to our service department. We can inspect your vehicle to determine if the issues are covered under your warranty, or we can explore other options available to you if your warranty has expired.
To schedule a complimentary inspection, please call our service department at ************. We are here to assist you and want to ensure your vehicle is running smoothly.
Thank you for your understanding, and we look forward to helping you resolve this matter.
Best regards,

Dear *** *********,Re: Response to BBB Case #********I am writing to address your recent complaint filed with the Better Business Bureau regarding your financing experience with Overland Bond & Investment Corporation. I appreciate you bringing your concerns to our attention, and I would like to clarify the situation surrounding your vehicle purchase and subsequent repossession. On October 31, 2023, you purchased a vehicle through ****************** which was financed by our company under account number ******. As per the terms of your financing agreement, your first contractual payment was due on January 28, 2024. Unfortunately, we did not receive this payment, which placed your account in default. In accordance with our policies and the terms of your agreement, we initiated a repossession order on February 13, 2024. The vehicle was subsequently secured by a repossession agency located in **************. Following this, a Notice of Sale was sent to you on February 16, 2024, providing you with a 21-day notice period before the vehicle would be made available for sale after March 12, 2024.I understand that the situation surrounding repossession can be distressing, and I want to assure you that the loan was approved in line with our standard procedures. We would be more than happy to forward these documents to your email.Additionally, I recommend contacting ********** to dispute the information on your credit report if you believe there has been an error. Its important for your financial health to ensure that your credit history accurately reflects your situation. The customer entered into a contact with ********************** Bond and Investment Corp, the customer voluntarily surrendered the vehicle, and the vehicle was sold at auction, as per the terms of the contract the customer is held responsible for the deficiency balance. This is the net difference between the amount the customer owed and the amount the creditor sold the collateral that secured the loan.Customer Answer

I am rejecting this response because: The Business is trying to collect an amount that is close to the value of the original contract and not only a portion as they are claiming. I do not agree to this being a ********** or truthful on their behalf as the amount they are attempting to collect reflects.

Dear Mr. *******On regards to your complaint about Overland Bond & Investment Corporation, Case #********. We appreciate the opportunity to address your complaint and provide clarity on the situation.I understand that you purchased your vehicle on July 26, 2018, and that you were faced with financial difficulties leading to the decision to voluntarily surrender the vehicle on March 7, 2019. It is unfortunate when financial challenges arise, and we empathize with your situation. Our goal is to work with customers during difficult times, and I appreciate you taking the time to communicate with our collections department regarding your circumstances. As you were informed by our representative, a voluntary surrender is a process that allows a borrower to return a vehicle when they are unable to maintain payments. This process requires a thorough understanding of your obligations under the retail installment contract you signed at the time of purchase. I want to assure you that our team is committed to ensuring that all our customers are fully informed about their responsibilities and the implications of such actions.Following the voluntary surrender, a Notice of Sale was sent on March 11, 2024, in compliance with legal requirements. This letter is a standard part of the process, designed to inform you about the sale of the vehicle and potential outstanding balances. I understand that you expressed frustration regarding the repossession and your belief that you should not be held liable for the loan, particularly since you indicated that the vehicle was purchased for your roommate. However, as per the terms of the retail installment contract, the responsibility for the loan remains with the borrower, regardless of the circumstances surrounding the use of the vehicle.I want to emphasize that our policies are in place to ensure fairness and transparency in our operations. Unfortunately, the notion that a vehicle can be returned without any financial ramifications is not something we can accommodate. Our aim is to support our customers in understanding the financial commitments they are making and the potential consequences of defaulting on those agreements. If you have any further questions or would like to discuss this matter in more detail, please do not hesitate to reach out to our management team department at ************. We are here to assist you and provide any additional clarification you may need.Thank you for your understanding, and we appreciate your patience as we navigate this situation together.Sincerely,**** ******PresidentOverland Bond & Investment Corp.Initial Complaint

If you have credit issues, do not go to them, find somewhere else to purchase your vehicle. The finance team is horrible and disorganized. Paid off a car within the time frame of 36 months, never received a call about the title. When I inquired I was told it takes at least 30 days to get the title or notification that it is ready. Completely understandable except it had now been 90 days and when I called I got the run around. One guy named ****** called me back in an attempt to resolve the matter and then told me "ma'am you're the one who called the finance ****** When I said no, I called customer service and requested a manager who is over the title department. He said "Well whatever, I don't have time for this. " and then hung up on me. Very unprofessional and unproductive. It should not be this difficult to get a title of car that has been paid off. Then I was told my car might stop working because of the gps they installed. Just stay away from them and overland bond.Business Response

Dear Mr. ************** am writing to address your complaint filed with the Better Business Bureau regarding your experience with Overland Bond and Investment Corporation, referenced as Case #********. I want to take this opportunity to clarify some misconceptions and address your concerns directly.
Firstly, I want to express my sincere apologies for any frustration or disappointment you may have experienced. It is never our intention for our clients to feel misled or dissatisfied with our services.
I would like to clarify that Overland Bond and Investment Corporation operates as a sub-prime lender, specializing in financing for individuals who may have limited or no credit history or those looking to rebuild their credit. We do not sell vehicles ourselves; instead, we partner with ***************** Corporation to help our customers secure financing for their vehicle purchases.
Regarding your inquiry about vehicle prices and insurance, I understand that these aspects can be confusing. As a lender, it is standard practice for us to require full coverage insurance on financed vehicles to protect both the borrower and our investment. However, we also offer an alternative for our customers: the option to obtain liability insurance coupled with our $24.00 weekly Collateral Protection plan, which may provide a more affordable solution for some clients.
On April 23, 2022, you purchased a used vehicle through ***********************, and we were pleased to assist you with the financing for that purchase. We strive to offer competitive rates within the *********** area, particularly for sub-prime lending.
I also want to address your concerns regarding our collection staff. It is concerning to hear that you felt our team was rude during your interactions. We take pride in providing excellent customer service, and I assure you that we will investigate this matter further to ensure that all our staff members adhere to our standards of professionalism and respect.
Your feedback is invaluable to us as we continuously seek to improve our services and customer experience.
Thank you for bringing your concerns to our attention.
Sincerely,
Zury Rivera
