I have previously filed a complaint with this same company. Combined insurance company. This is a follow up with more information. They do not pay out on their claims . As I stated in my last complaint. My injury was in November of 2022 I had surgery on January 24th and it is now the end of February and have not gotten a ***** and getting the runaround. After prob 50 or so phone calls and prob 20 hours or so on phone . Multiple people and supervisors spoken with multiple documents uploaded 3/4 times . This company just does not want to honor its clients . They take my money every month I have 2 policies but when it comes to paying out they dont. My claim number with Combined insurance is. ********. I have an accident and sick pay plus policies . They owe me in the ballpark of 5/8 thousand dollars.Business Response

On 11/2022 I was injured and I have 2 policys with Combined ins. It is now 02/2024 and have not yet revised any payment at all . I have spent prob ***** hours on the phone with customer service that includes many supervisors. I have uploaded documents multiple times . They tell me all the documents look good we will have the adjuster call you . No one ever calls. They wont give me a contact number or email for the adjuster. Many supervisors say they are escalating this claim because its been over 2 months. I had knee surgery on 01/24 and was unable to work since the injury in November of 2022 . They have not paid me a ***** and I keep getting the runaround and same response from people I can barely understand . I have a family that needs the money that they are suppose to be paying me . I have been with this company for 13 years and always have a problem but never this bad . I dont know what to do anymore . These policies are to cover me while Im not earning because of an injury and so far it hasnt and they owe me s lot of money in the ballpark of around 5-8 thousand dollars . This accident/disability insurance company automatically withdrawls from my checking for my monthly premium for my policy. the website is down, nobody returns calls, there's no person to talk to, I cannot stop the automatic withdrawl, no claims can be processed, nobody answers emails. It's like the company is a big scam! they are simply taking money and not doing what their business says it will do. someone has to stop them! There are hundreds of similar complaints!!! My father has this insurance also and he is really sick and has had several claims and has not gotten payment!!! I had to contact my bank and pay to have the automatic withdrawls stopped.Business Response

I have been a customer of ***************************************** for 40 years, and I carry 4 different policies. I purchased the last policy in 2010, and since then I have not been contacted by an agent to review my coverage to ensure that it is adequate. On August 27th, 2022, I was injured on the job, requiring surgery to reconstruct my right foot. I have been out of work since, and because I am an independent contractor, I have been without income. The policy I purchased in 2010 affords a benefit of $100.00 during convalescence, however it requires a hospital stay of at least 20 hours. Since the policy was written and purchased, hospital protocols have changed, and most (if not all) surgeries no longer result in an overnight stay. Covid has changed protocols as well. My complaints are as follows:1. The policy (which I have been paying faithfully for 12 years) is obsolete, given that the requirements for coverage no longer align with hospital policies.2. Given that the policy is no longer relevant with today's hospital protocols, I should have been contacted by a field agent to ensure that I am adequately covered.3. I have left multiple messages for supervisors and claims adjusters, which have gone unanswered. I have called Combined Insurance numerous times trying to get them to reset my account so I can reactivate my account because I haven't been able to get into my account. [they don't let you talk with IT department. The message I receive says to call ************ customer service and they are no help at all. In September, 2022, I was introduced to Combined Insurance through my credit union where they offer payments for accidents/illnesses in the event I am injured and/or sick & my income is not enough. I wound up canceling with them that same month due to some unforeseen financial changes on my end. In December, 2022, I received a letter from Combined Insurance about a missed ACH ************** would try again in January, 2023. I called to find out why I'd be receiving a letter as such & learned that the policy was never canceled. I've been trying to get the money they owe me since December, 2022. I received a letter in late December telling me the policy was canceled, but no check. I have spoken to several people in several different departments, most of which give me the run around, even when they're supposed to call me back. They said the check was mailed & due to them continuing to take the money AFTER I canceled, I do not believe a check was mailed. It is now February, 2023 & I'm STILL trying to get a check from this company. I feel scammed & what they did is equivalent to Larceny. Please help me.Business Response

They had the correct information when they were taking my money, but not when monies are due back to me. I feel like theyre scamming me & Im very unhappy with their service & lack of concern for what is actual Larceny. I explained to the customer service representative, *****, that if she authorized me to take money from her & then decided after a time that she wished to end the agreement & I STILL took money from, its Larceny. She acted as if she didnt comprehend but I know she did.I canceled the insurance & requested no more money be taken from my account. Combined continued to take my money. Its Larceny. I have had a combined accident policy with combined since 2016 and in 2021 I had to file for the first time for an accident that happend. They didnt pay for all things they were supposed because I didnt send in the right paper and about 4 months later I met with a combined sales person to help me with my claim. She told me that she could sell me another policy that would be active in one month and that I could use both policies for this claim. About a year and a half later (problems with workers comp) I go in for carpal tunnel surgery on 12/7/22 and the next day I start the process of trying to get paper work in. The portal isnt working and didnt work for over a week so in that time I call them to see what paper work was needed and how I could send it in cause the portal is down. 1.5 weeks later I finally an answer for what paper work they need and send it in the next day. That was over a month ago and I have been calling about 2-4 times a week with no real answers. I've called multiple time and asked to speak to the adjuster or leave a message for a call back but I never have gotten a call. That's just for the first policy cause they say the second policy in not valid on this claim. Then I want my money back for the year and a half cause I was sold a policy under false advisement of a combined employee. I have also tried to reach out to the person who sold the policy to me and the person they were training. The trainee no longer works for the company and the sales coordinator ******************* has not called me back. Selling false information about policies seems to be how this company operates. Unprofessional, unresponsive, misleading and should be closed down in **************. I would highly suggest to look somewhere else for "supplemental benifits" .Business Response

This company is the ABSOLUTE worst! I signed up back in December 2022. A rep came to my work to sign me up. I had a car accident the next day. My car was a total loss, and I was taken by ambulance. Moving forward, I was eventually paid out my claim 45 days after I filed it. Then, I was able to claim my chiropractic services from the accident (10) sessions. I filed on the 9th of January, and am STILL waiting for an answer or to speak with the adjuster.....Guess what?!??! NOTHING. Not, only have I uploaded my proof 2x, but, I also mailed in a copy of the 10 visits. I call this company, they give the run around, their website *****. It barely works, and nothing is updated on my account. The representative that signed me up , entered my birthdate, and zip code incorrectly. I had to send proof it was me....more time wasted. Them their automated system, still has me entering the incorrect birthdate. I cannot get past the birthdate STILL being incorrect. I am rejecting this response because: This company, does NOT respond to ANY calls!! I left numerous messages, for the "ADJUSTER" , who NEVER returned 1 call back. I continuously call this company DAILY, and their Representatives either hang up, or say we are escalating this. They have been escalating this for over 30 days. The website NEVER works, nor do they update your claims. This, "GENERIC" letter that they sent me via email through this portal is ridiculous. It doesn't respond to my complaint! This company needs to be investigated by the Attorney General. nobody EVER calls me back, I am the one ALWAYS contacting them to check the status on my claim
