3/10/25 PRICE GOUGING Over the past few years, I have had a plumber come out to fix a leak in two different pipes under my kitchen sink, so I opted to just replace all the pipes, and I called Four Seasons Plumbing. After looking at the job, the plumber punched in a few numbers on his iPad, which he handed to me, saying, "This is the cost." I was charged $986.00. I explained that I am a senior citizen on a fixed income and asked if there was any way to reduce the cost. He said that that was a customary fee. I then told him that I checked online and the price range for a job like this was $300-$500. As he shrugged his shoulders he said that every job is different. So I reluctantly gave him my charge card. I asked for an itemized statement/bill and he said that Four Seasons would email it to me. He wasnt gone an hour and I found one pipe leaking. I immediately called the company back and they sent out another plumber who tightened the joints and took the time to test them to be sure that it was leak-free. I also asked him about the itemized statement which I still hadnt received. He verified my email address and said that I should be receiving it soon. The next day I walked through the plumbing department at ********** and Menards in comparison pricing, and found that the 4-(straight) PVC pipes along with 2-elbow PVC pipes were less than $100!!!!!Accessibility of the old removed PVC pipes was right under the kitchen sink so it didnt require opening a wall nor connecting a garbage disposal and the Plumber was done in about 1 1/2 hours. I had to call Four Seasons the day after the service to request the itemized bill only to receive a statement that stated what the plumber did and listed it as Misc Plumbing without a breakdown or itemization. They purposefully did not give me an itemized bill because they knew that this was price gouging! Four Seasons is unreasonably raising the price of parts and services and has unfair business practices!

Four Seasons 2-21-25 came to replace furnace $8045.00. The lead person was with me in the basement having me sign forms on tablet when he sent the helper outside to back into the driveway. Shortly after there was a boom sound, and I asked the lead, "what was that?" He said, "I don't know" I asked, "Is he good?" He said, "I hope so". We went outside and immediately saw he had hit the gate, severely bending it and knocking it out of track. Gate was in up position. I was assured by the worker and staff at 4-Seasons that they would take care of all of this and not to worry. 2-22-25 National Shutters came to do estimate and measure. Repair was not an option due to the extent of the damage and it being 7 yrs old. Replacement $8703.59. ***************, their insurance offered $7262.87 due to depreciation. I have to pay $1440.72 out of pocket. I asked 4-Seasons to deduct from furnace cost because it wasn't fair to me and because I ALWAYS use them, speak very highly of them and recommend them. They refused. Lawyer said it will cost me at least 2x the amount to fight it and advised me to take offer.Four Seasons Heating, Air Conditioning, Plumbing & Electric

When our heat stopped working we called Four Seasons because theyve been good to us in the past. Their recommendation was to completely replace the heating system. They quoted us an astronomically high price for the upgrade. Option B was to replace the motor, collector plate and thermostat - a list of work that was going to run us around 3-4k, so we had to get a second opinion. Ravinia had a completely different take on what the problem was, and it started by asking us questions about how the heater had been running prior to breaking down. Yes, it had been making a repeating cycling sound - the condensate hose/pump had been overworking and broke down. They showed it to me, it made sense. We replaced it. The repair was $600 all in. When I compare the final outcome, and our experience with Ravinia compared to the Four Seasons service, Im left feeling like their recommendations were aimed at profiting from a moment of vulnerability. The things they told me just didnt pass the bullsh*t test. Once the trust is broken I have to move on. Four days after their visit we still havent been refunded for the deposit we gave them for the work that we had to stop. We had good experiences with Four Seasons in the past, this particular experience was not like the others, and we walked away very disappointed and we wont be going back.Four Seasons Heating, Air Conditioning, Plumbing & Electric

I had a toilet tank leaking water so I filled out questionnaire for plumbers. ** was first to call and stated they'd waive their $85 inspection fee to earn first visit. Perhaps I should have not accepted service. After *********** every other licensed plumber that has called back quoted $200-$400 cheaper than FS. I'm not shopping to other plumbers what FS charged. I'm documenting to review how different their pricing is compared to others for a "minor rebuild" as my invoice reads. I had services completed to replace fill valve, flapper, and supply line on 2 toilets. The plumber was friendly in fixing the situation. Stated this is a minor rebuild and parts are inexpensive. I have no complaints with the plumber, appreciated his assistance. The surprise came when the total bill was $805. Understanding there is mark-up for products , the maximum retail price for the products used on the toilets are $100 (Fill Valve $25 + Flapper $15 + Supply Line $10) x 2 = $200. Further breaking down the bill, that results in $605 remaining dollars over 1.7 hours of work that my invoice reads. In total, FS is charging ~$350/hr + 100% markup on the products used to work on a "minor rebuild."Customer service did callback as I requested a breakdown of the bill but they refuse to do so. ** claims they work on national averages and only provide a flat fee invoice. When doing research, "According to available information, the national average cost for a minor toilet rebuild, including repairs like replacing a flapper, adjusting the fill valve, or fixing a minor leak, is typically between $100 and $200. More complex repairs like replacing the flush valve or wax ring could range from $150 to $300." In my situation, repair is not complex. A complex breakdown would read $300 x 2 = $600 is still $205 greater than my invoice. When notified how they're all more expensive than everyone else, they tried offering free AC tune-up services.
