      Poor management, maintenance, roaches, and theft are what you have to look forward to if you move here! The bad reviews don't even begin to tell 1/2 the story of how horrible the property management and theft are. Packages are stolen left and right, and the people "running" this place could care less. The cameras don't work, and CYM Living doesn't care enough to check or fix them! I've had items stolen from my apartment after having it serviced! I am on package #3 that's been stolen from the lobby, including one delivered to my mailbox...... MAKE IT MAKE SENSE!!!! CYM Living management refuses to acknowledge the tenants who keep them in business by blocking all accessible contact. Tenants are forced to talk to property managers that lack professionalism, care, or concern for the issues brought to their attention. The property isn't patrolled or surveilled by security/ cameras. It's negligence on CYM Living's part, with the volume of thefts being as high as it is!!! It doesn't take much to see that it's maintenance and weird contractors behind these terrible acts, especially given their "smoke" breaks that interfere with the work they never seem to get done! Please take these reviews to heart and take your hard-earned money to a property that respects you and your time!

      I went there to rent an apt. 1 yr ago in May of 2024. I paid a fee of ****** for a move-in fee. and a ****** ***** administration fee to an office person named **** *****. who had promised me this apt. that would be ready to move in on July 1st. Long story short. When I went there to see the apartment, which was in shambles from someone just moving out, there was this large animal right across from me with this large dog that never stopped barking. I had explained to her that I worked nights and needed a little quieter area and that I sleep during the day. She replied that that would not be a problem. and the apartment that she showed me—there was another like this in another building next door, but this apartment was totally ************. I did not take it and never moved into the apt. And she stated there was nothing more available. I have been trying to get my money back and have not been successful...I filed a small claim. and they ignored being served for it. and the person **** ***** was moved elsewhere because of this. Her manager for the building texted me and asked where I would like my money to come to. And I did reply, but she never sent it to me. and they never showed up. I don't think this serving for small claims court ever made it to the corporate office for Cym Living, who is who the apartments were run by. What can I do to get my money back? The name of the apartments is ********************* in **********, Ill. Please help me.

      CYM DOESN'T ACCEPT THE RAP RENTAL ASSISTANCE PROGRAM BUT IS QUICK TO EVICT PEOPLE. THE BUILDINGS ARE DISGUSTING AND ARE NOT CLEANED REGULARLY. PEOPLE URINATE AND DEFECATE IN THE ELEVATOR, AND THE STAIRWAY IS ROACH-INFESTED, BUT THEY ARE QUICK TO NAG ABOUT PEOPLE WHO HAVE BEEN AFFECTED BY LIFE, LIKE BEING UNEMPLOYED. I CAN NEVER GET A REAL ANSWER AS TO WHY THEY DON'T ACCEPT HELP FROM DFSS PROGRAMS. I HAVE BEEN APPROVED TWICE AND HAVE BEEN DENIED BOTH TIMES! IT'S NOT RIGHT OR FAIR.

      They need negative stars. My cousin stay in a property in Chicago and everything he turns the air-conditioner on the fuel blow and they don't do anything about it. It be on for no more than 10 min then the fuel blows. Its to hot in his apartment not to have the air on. There is no way he shouldn't be able to have his air on when the temps outside is 90+. Then let's talk about the water bugs coming through the walls and any cracks they can get in is crazy. And now water coming in one of the bedrooms from the roof when it's raining. It seriously be more than 10 water bugs every day on a glue board. Mind you he stays on the 3rd floor makes the situation all bad. They should not own property in Illinois. And all they did was switch names from Pangea to CYM living.

      ******* Inside of the leasing office off of 79th St location was very rude and disrespectful with her motions THIS IS NOT allowed and her boss needs to take appropriate action ( EEOC CLASS SHE NEEDS TO ATTEND IMMEDIATELY)!!!!! EEOC CHARGE STATE LEVEL.

      Should be ZERO stars. ********** Apartments are horribly maintained. Major elevator and plumbing issues in addition to horrible safety issues with broken entry doors . Work orders take months (a few took over a year) to complete. No preventive maintenance with heat and air conditioning. Dogs are allowed but tenants let them go wherever they please including the elevator or lobby. They have a horrible pest and rat issue as well. This place needs to be totally overhauled! We deserve better for more than $1700 a month!!

      Was a resident of Pangea before it came to be CYM living never late on rent never had an eviction while living on the property with Pangea when it switched over to see why I'm living I applied for an apartment due to my job moving application was denied called multiple times to get information the only thing that they do is direct you to writing a letter to ************************************ there was never a manager I could speak with no ********************* no supervisor they just pretty much give you a runaround so I would not recommend CYM living when it was Pangea it was much more professional I'm quite sure they still have residents of Pangea when they switched over to see why I'm living but there's no respect given to previous tenants even though their record was clean so I would not recommend see why I'm living Pangea was much more professional there is no way to go into a local office to speak to anyone they're just saying you have to write a letter you can't get any information when you call the number to a corporate office or an administrative office so I would not recommend CYM living.

      It's crazy how they're have a non refundable application fee but won't notify you when you're denied and won't give you a reason why. They said I'd have to write a letter to a random PO Box. Like what type of sense does that make and it was nowhere mentioned when filling out the application. Paid 100 for nothing. I feel scammed tbh

      I am a current resident of CYM Living on the South of *******. I have been living in a CYM building six months and when I tell you that my experience has been nothing but a roller coaster ride through h*** on a season pass. When I moved in CYM didn't complete a walk through inspection nor repair after the prior tenants moved out, my entire tub had to be removed due to having a crack in it cause a leak in the basement, the unit was never treated for roaches cause me to have to come out my pocket to buy pesticides to stop the infestation of roaches ( which we still have roaches no matter how much I clean and spray for bugs). The closet in one of my bedrooms has collapsed 3 times since I moved here causing me to have have my suits cleaned cause of the dry wall dust being all over my suits. When I call to report these issues CYM says its going to take 1 to 3 business days to get a response, I have also requested to speak with the building manager who never calls and the only time the building manager visits the building is to post five day notices on the doors. There is no urgency when maintenance calls are put in and it took them almost a month to come out and fix the closets and to complete any work orders that were put in. This past Saturday maintenance came to fix the closet and three days later the same issue has happened again. They treat us like ghetto project scum here and don't keep the building up like it should. The building is not even secure, I have walked out my unit to a homeless person sleeping in the hallway early in the morning cause the doors are broken all the time so there is an open door policy to anyone that wants to come in the building. I am contacting the city and the news stations to make them aware because if we are having issues here in my building I'm overly sure that there are several other issues at other *** buildings that needs to be addressed. And they had the nerves to state that there might be a charge for maintenance coming out.
