Equity Lifestyles Properties *** has been buying properties advertising them as 55+ communities with listed amenities. As a resident my observation these communities clubhouse accesses are not ADA ********* yet with the senior age residents many people cannot access amenities we do have. Communities overall appearances continue to decline, hot tubs, pools are closed far too often for lack of chemicals and lack of daily cleaning maintenance. Security gate was using residents who know the community residents, now the use of an outside security company has been an issue with admittance of people without checking resident request, leaving gate open at night/some even sleeping on duty. Restaurants hurricane damage and lack of employees remain closed or hours slashed. And more, all while let rents and pass thru taxes ***reases of over 8% while most all residents have only social security ***omes. The pride of the residents in their homes are deminished with lack of use of amenities advertised and maintained. Residents feel we are victims of owners in the business fir ***ome and not for the residents @ old time slumlords. So sad, the residents live their homes and neighbors, but are dismayed with Equity Lifestyles, *** thru out the country.

Equity Lifestyle is the worst. Broken promises, no response to calls and emails, pass on fees through the roof. All boils down to corporate greed.

The pool and hot tub in our 55+ community have been closed more often than not for the last 14 months. Management seems to be unable or unwilling to find a pool company to keep it working. Local and regional management appear to be inept or uncaring.

The pool in pine lakes has been out of commission at least 6 of the last 12 months and was just closed by the health department this week. The pool temp is generally in the 70s and too cold for the senior residences.Roads are in poor condition throughout the community the restaurant is closed many time because they wont pay their help enough to keep good workers. The bridge over the water by clubhouse is rotting away. The golf cart paths are so uneven they **** the front ends out on golf carts. They do not enforce park rules policies.

*** never been so disappointed in a company as I am now. Let me start with the fact that we love our camping community. When I say we have a camping family, we have a camping family. These members at Thousand Trails have the heart, kindness, and togetherness you cant find very often. I am sad to say this company doesnt care about the campers. 3 campers stayed on two different sites. Weve cleaned up a total of 6 sites by adding gravel and planting grass. Weve invested several thousand updating each of these sites. The campground wont update the sites or the facilities but will increase fees. Recently one of the families assisted a fellow camper with an issue on their site to fix a broken sewer drain above ground. A licensed plumber mind you whom has been contracted on multiple occasions to repair plumbing and sewer issues on the property being the kind hearted soul and professional individual this person is fixed a sewer drain and was evicted from the campground. Not only was he evicted but the person who was renting that site was as well. The renter did absolutely nothing. They received 0 notice, write up, chance to fix the problem . They were told via phone that they werent able to renew. They were both told its okay by the manager of the property by visual and verbal communication. The manager of the property wont provide a phone number for the *** The gm will only email and neither will provide corporate numbers to address the issue. Thousand trails / Equity Lifestyles definitely needs to rethink the management that theyve hired. They are losing multiple campers because of the issue and weve heard multiple have left other properties when this specific GM has taken over at these sites. Equity Lifestyles maybe you need to rethink who youve put in charge . You have a lot of very unhappy campers. What youve decided to do to these hardworking, outstanding individuals is horribly uncalled for. Im sorry to say youve lost some pretty amazing individuals.

I currently live at one of Equity Lifestyle Properties in *******. There is an office on site with posted office hours; however, there is NEVER anyone there. Send an email to this specific manager and their customer service is worse than bar maid. She is condescending, hateful tone, ask her anything and she acts as though it is a bother. I have sent a request back in November 2022, asking about the process to have a name removed from the account. She was very brief in what needs to be done. I responded asking where to locate the paper work to get the process started...... crickets , nothing, no more assistance. Try to locate a contact number for the home office on their website- NOTHING. It is giving the impression this company has no interest if you are already paying your monthly fee. Requesting that there be an able representative of ELS to be at the onsite office during the posted office hours.

Unethical business practices is an understatement! Tried to cancel my thousand trails me never ship for 6 months. Still charged on my credit card, filed a fraudulent charge claim. The finally deactivated my account in august 4 and reactivated it on august 11. Those ************* going to place just outside of the campgrounds they own will hopefully enlighten others to their shady practices. Shame on you for your ways of doing business.

Dear **************, Thank you for contacting us regarding your Thousand Trails membership. It is our understanding that your membership has been cancelled with no remaining fees owed. Please know, the contract you signed when you purchased your membership states that your Camping Pass would automatically be renewed for an additional year unless you notified our member services team in writing at least 30 days prior to your renewal date. Because our teams had no record of your intent to cancel until July 5, 2022, you were charged with membership dues in May, June, and July. Thank you again for contacting us.

Equity Lifestyle Properties, Inc. of ******* is the official owner of the Greenwood Village 55+ community on Long Island, ********. This is a condominium. Our neighborhood is home to many senior citizens and veterans. As the "principal business," we enter into a residential agreement with Equity Lifestyle Properties, Inc. The community has 525 mobile homes. Each resident contributes an average of $1200 per month. The company's monthly gross income is $630,000. We doubt that the ******* company is licensed to serve the ******** community. Broken roads are proof of this, as they are not only dangerous to walk on, but also to drive on. The swimming pool is filthy. People get sick. The street signs are illegible. Everything is crumbling. Water and electricity are turned off on a regular basis. We have made numerous claims. The corporation did not respond. We'd like to request assistance from BBB.Maybe you can tell us where to file complaints. It also raises questions about the legality of our condominium's registration. Who can assist?

Signed up for the Elite Basic tier with a local Thousand Trails team member. I was told that, if I wished to cancel it, it would cost $700. I brought up concerning wording in the contract, but the team member assured me it would be $700.
When I asked to cancel the membership, corporate stated I had exceeded my cancellation window (that was never disclosed to me) and charged me $6,706. Needless to say that I don't trust this company any longer.
