      It is nothing short of horrific what the mgmt is doing here. They are managing by intimidation, retaliation and threat of eviction. In every setting with other people, they recount their experiences here, and tell stories of the abuse theyve suffered from this management. We all hate this mgmt, but no one will step up and fight for their rights because we are scared. They have raised my rent 4 times since October 2020, and we all just got a notice our rent is being raised again as of 1/24. People on fixed incomes are being forced out- then cc gets the title with integrity sales remodels them and makes a huge profit. What they are doing is elder abuse.An example of hateful inexcusable abuse:A sweet woman who has lived here for 20 years takes water aerobics everyday. After that she swims for an hour. *********** employs Signal 88 security. All they do is harass us. We have a pool card, and 88 comes around and asks us for it. The 75 yr old woman forgot hers. 88 demanded she get out of the pool. She meekly said ** leaving in ten minutes. Next thing we knew there was *********************** -most despised manager with A SHERIFF-completely scaring her. A few days later she receives a notice threatening eviction if she does it again!!!Seems weekly there are new rules-cant put up a garage sale sign- must have your yard perfectly weededon and on.Someone needs to stop this. I could go on and on with examples.The mngr *********************** has a criminal record for embezzlement larceny and more.

      Horrible business practices designed to prey upon members. Unable to use membership anymore. Attempted to resolve issues with customer service. They want to just take $5k and refuse to work with me.

      They have thieves working at their mhp in ***********,**. Like alot of other business', they get too big and lose quality employee's, take more and give less. They are careless with people's personal information and do nothing to protect it.My information is everywhere, and I think the office manager had everything to do with it. She has ruined my life!! Don't live in **************, just another dishonest business under Equity Lifestyle Properties.

      I called Hope ****** Resort in ****** ****** in July. I told **** that I was coming from out of town and would like a tour of the property. He asked if I was interested in new or pre-owned park models. I told him I wanted to see both. I advised that he handled the new sales and ***** handled the pre-owned. So I 'assumed' ***** was part of the sales team. It turned out she was an independent realtor in the local area. He didn't tell me I had to make a separate appointment with her or that she didn't work for ELS Properties. On the day I arrived, he was 15 minutes late. Luckily ***** was there that day and she was able to show me a few of the park models. I put in an offer, it was accepted and opened escrow. I sent an email on July 27th to Mani for their background procedures. The returned email was unprofessional (no signature block/no name). I was told to come by to fill out the background check and have $50.00 in a check or cash. I called him back and advised I didn't live in the area and how I was I to get the money to him. He told me I had to overnight it! I chuckled and he asked what was so funny. I said that is very archaic. He said that is the way it was done....so I sent it overnight with a cost of over $30.00. I didn't receive an email, call, or text from him stating he received it and it was being processed. I sent another email to **** asking if he received the paperwork and when would it be done. Today is August 11th. The background check is still not completed. The corporate office wanted it done online! Finally received a link to complete the background check yesterday - guess what, the link isn't working correctly. I even tried it again this morning. I called ELS Properties in ******* and was only able to leave a general box voicemail. I also sent them a general box email. No one has called me. In the meantime, my realtor is working overtime sitting with **** for over three hours, holding his hand to get this done.

      I was going to put my camper to Forest Lake in Advance, NC for the year and was told on the phone the lady I need to talk to was on the phone, before we could discuss and set up to bring camper up, I had to do the membership. So I did right then, She never called me back, I called 15 More times and she was always busy, gone, on the phone, off for the day... always something. I expressed I am trying to bring the camper up there. (mind you they charge 4100 for the year up front). left more messages. no one ever called me back and basically acted like my business dont matter to them. Sure after they get there free membership money. I told customer service I wanted to cancel and they assure me not going to happen. I am locked in a 2 year contract. For something I can and will not use. I will never go to another Thousand trails campground. This is the worst company in history and I would never recommend doing business with them. I plan to get an attorney. this is about customer service and standing behind what they say. If I would have known to never get called back, I would have not bought the membership until literally I am pulling in the campground

      Go to ******** ********* past and present. EL owns the ****** and seasonal campgrounds Folks who are members have spent a lot of money there, many are millionaires. EL took it over and employed unqualified management, no oversight, and memberships is crashing. So many disappointed. The restaurant closed from employees walking out( not paid for tips).total dumpster fire.

      They have false advertising. They say they have a storage area which no one can use, they say they have amenities that are usually broke or unusable, they say they are a gated community which is a lie, the gates have been in use about 2 days out of the last 2 years. They do have homeless people come in almost daily, stay in unoccupied homes and do nothing to remove them. They have numerous hooked and thieves roaming the park at all hours of the night. The security guard is not for the people who live in the park, it's only to monitor the *** owned buildings. There is no overnight parking other than your own driveway, therefore you are not allowed guests from out of town who have a vehicle.

      They are a horrible business. They do not care about maintaining their properties. They only care about raising rents to fill their coffers even more. Corporate greed personified.
