I placed an order on the Jewel Osco app for pickup on 1/17/23. After picking up my order I noticed that I was not only missing items but some of the items had expanded because they were spoiled. Even the chicken breast smelled as if it had spoiled a week or so ago. I went into the app on 1/18/23 and made Jewel Osco aware of this at 6:21am. The app states that I will receive a final receipt 24 to 48 hours after submitting a request. As I write this on 1/23 at 5:33am I have yet to receive any correspondence from Jewels. In a post-pandemic time where all families are battling inflation, I would assume it would be a priority to adhere to the refund process being that times are unprecedented. I would not only like this rectified by refunding me for the spoiled and missing products. Order #********Initial Complaint

Ordered grocery delivery on 1/11/23 (order #********) They delivered 2 packages of chicken b****** that were partially opened and leaking all over the bag contaminating everything in the bag. I simply asked for a refund for the 2 packages that were damaged. I should have asked for a refund of everything contaminated but I cleaned it off. They refused to issue a refund for their mistake. I would like to begin by thanking a pharmacist ********* for all of her help recently as I was and are very grateful who took the time to assist me with one of my prescription's to make sure it was transfered appropriately as I would also like to mention when speaking with another pharmacist at this location I believe named ******** who was very rude when asking of him to assist me with the transfer to his store of another medication and when asking if it would be possible after giving him my name and date of birth to help with the transfer on Monday and if he would be working to do so stated very rudely in a loud tone of voice I don't need to know his schedule and hung up the phone. I called back immediately afterward never having been hung up on by a pharmacist before with no one answering the phone as I assume he instructed his co-workers not to do so, please. I do not feel I would have received similar assistance related to the previous matter and ********************** who helped me a great deal from the second pharmacist, ********. I think this matter should be looked into as a pharmacist is still considered to be a health care worker to assist people which does not appear if at all to be a part of his job description from ********'s point of view, please. I think at the very least someone should speak with ******** concerning his customer service and his ability to communicate better with customers, please. Thank you.Initial Complaint

To be fair, since I ordered for delivery, I'm not 100% sure which particular Jewel-Osco this order came from. I selected the one on ******** because that is the default store that is set for Pick-up on my app. The order number is ******** On Dec 10 I made a large order for snacks for $30.71 and same-day delivery. I received text notifications throughout the process but I did NOT receive any notifications stating that a substitution would be made, which I have always gotten from other grocery delivery services. Since about 90% of my order was incorrect, I went onto the Jewel-Osco app and requested a refund. I got an email saying that I'd get a response in 1-2 days. I finally received a response on Dec 14 stating a refund of $0.00 was approved. Confused, I called the customer service number at the bottom of the email. The call lasted about 6 minutes, complete start to finish. I answered the machine questions and got put on hold to speak with a person. After about a minute, the music ended and it sounded as if someone picked up the phone. I said "Hello?" a few times and all I heard was air and sounds as if the phone on the other end was being moved around. Then silence. Then it happened again, clearly the phone had been picked up but I only heard *************. Then silence again and then the after-call survey. I gave all the questions the lowest score and the call automatically ended. I just want my refund. I have wasted about 5 days on this already and it all could have been avoided by the store simply keeping me in the loop about the substitution like all other grocery delivery services I've used.Initial Complaint

On November 21, 2022, I placed an order to have my Thanksgiving dinner catered from Jewels/Osco. According to the advertising, the food has already been cooked, however, that was not the case with my order, my food was raw, when I complained to the manager, he dismissed me and hung up in my face. I also contacted their corporate headquarters, and was told that the regional manager would contact me regarding this matter, however, that has not happened. The meal cost me $139.00. In addition, my guest had to wait hours for dinner. The problem is Jewels/Osco are advertising false and misleading advertising in order to trick their customer into buying this dinner.Initial Complaint

This matter with my Jewel Osco has been going on for a long time but it took me a while to address it because of my health What the problem is every time I make a purchase there's always another transaction after it & between $2 & $200 is taken out of my bank account & it's not for something I purchased I've asked checkers, managers & even an account manager at their main ************* all reply the same either they don't know or they'll look into it but nothing has ever become of it & the money keeps coming out of my bank account Even my bank can't help they just said they don't issue stop payments on company accounts So either I run out of money or keep putting off paying my necessary bills like medication, doctor ****** health insurance etc. & Jewel Osco keeps taking out this extra money forever for no reason I just can't get anyone to explain why this happens every time I go shopping Please can you help me this is very stressful & very costly my *********** are elderly & retired we thought our life would be worry free seeing we both worked hard saved our money & looked forward to finally being able to enjoy our lives but because of all this money being taken out our account we have to watch every ***** now & are not free to travel like we planned So again can you please investigate & find out why Jewel keeps taking this extra money from us I know this is not normal none of our friends or family have had this problem & like myself have asked questions as to why this happens but like myself no one cares or just doesn't know I just can't ignore it anymore so I am looking for help from your company to help me resolve this once & for all It scares me sometimes what companies can get away with & not have to explain their actions Again Please can you help there must be a way to find out why but as of today it seems just as hopeless as it did two years ago Sincerely *****************************Initial Complaint

On October 11, 2022 Columbus Day I made a purchase at Jewel Osco *************, ** location. I made 1 purchase for $28.32 and was told the transaction did not go thru and to insert the card again along with my pin. The transaction did approve the first time and the second time per my ****************** statement for $28.32 x 2. I went back to the store to ask for the money to be debit back to my account and was told No and to call a **************** 800 number *****************-276-9637. I called and was given a dispute confirmation number of FIN *******. I called back 2 additional times as the money has not been put back into my account as of today November 5, 2022. Your milk is sour before the expiration date, like a week before the expiration date . This happened with every gallon of Jewel milk i have purchased over the last 3 months seriously affecting our grandchildren. I am a ************* Authority Nurse Practitioner in the state of ********. I had ordered a medication at the Osco #****, ****************************** in *******, ** and the pharmacist refused to fill it. As a ************* Authority Nurse Practitioner, with a *** license, I do not have a collaborating psychiatrist. The pharmacist insisted that I was required by the state to have a collaborating psychiatrist. I assure you I know the laws in ******** and He told me to review the statutes. The pharmacist refused to fill the prescription but ALSO refused the cancel the prescription upon request. I had a rain check for Eternal Water 10 for 10 20 ounce size at *************************** store 773-48700, **********************************************************. The rain check came from Jewel Osco, *****************************************************. The store clerk said I had the wrong size water and my rain check was invalid because the back was not stamped with the Store Information. This info appears nowhere on your present rain check. I went back to the store in ******* and the front desk clerk said it didnt need a stamp but she did stamp it for me. All this happened 7/31/2022. No customer wants to find out your rain check cant be used at another store because its invalid. Please have new rain checks made or have a meeting with front staff stating to stamp the back of the rain checks so we can use them at neighborhood stores.
