I purchased an Ego Power 21" lawn mower from Ace hardware store on 5/22/22 and registered my equipment the same day. On 6/26/22 the lawn mower wouldn't work at all. I called and started a warranty claim from Ego Power and they said since there was no repair places near me they'd send another mower to me and I would need to return the broken one after. The case was escalated because the mower purchase was only 34 days had passed. The lady told me to call back Tuesday the 28th for a status update. They had no update to give me. Just said when it ships I'll be sent an email. Two weeks passed and I called again and again they tell me there was no update to give. I told them what the first representative told me and that it would ship in less than a week because it was escalated. They said once it ships I'll get an email. Any idea when I ask? No They don't know. I ask for a supervisor who says they same thing they don't know when it will ship and there's nobody that can tell me when I'll get my replacement mower. So here I am on 7/29/22 and once again called for an update and they say again they don't know. I want my replacement mower or my money back NOW!!!! I paid almost $750 for a mower that worked 33 days and nobody will help me. Ego lies to their customers and will not stand by their warranty!! So I'm stuck and out of money fighting with a company that DOES NOT CARE TO HONOR THEIR WARRANTIES!!!Initial Complaint

My husband and I recently purchased an Ego Zero Turn Lawn Mower from ACE Hardware. We used the mower two times and it was showing an error. They explained this was something very minor and would be picked up to be repaired and returned to us immediately. It has been over 2 weeks and they said they are waiting on new parts. This is supposed to be a brand new mower. We have barely used it (twice!) and to be needing new parts already seems ridiculous. We asked for a new mower or a refund and were told that would not happen. We were supposed to get a call back from the company, but that also did not happen. **************** was incredibly rude and Im feeling incredibly frustrated by this. We paid for a new mower and that is what I expected to receive. Not a machine with issues right away.Initial Complaint

Hello BBB,I have an *** lawnmower and opened an warranty claim with *** on May 14th 2022. I dropped off the mower at the *** chosen service center on May 16th. It is July 14th today and I do not have a date of the mower to be returned. In addition to the call log below I have reached out to them on their ******** page, private message. After a month of paying for my lawn to be mowed I purchased a new mower with another company. A full refund of the purchase price of the mower is what resolution looks like for me. I would also like that to be inflation adjusted and for the $100 I paid in lawn care for that month to be covered, but I do not have documentation for that costs. I am confused by not having personal identifiable info in my complaint. *** will know the call log and the serial number of the mower is registered to me. I removed may name from the ******** log.MODEL NO.USESERIAL NO.PURCHASE DATEPLACE LM2102SP Residential Power+ 21" Self-Propelled Mower with 7.5Ah battery and rapid charger Product:NLM04194515879X Charger:NCH02194515879X Battery:NBA06194515879X 07 / 03 / 20 **********Initial Complaint

I purchased an EGO power Lawnmower for $400 in May of 2018 at *********** It came with a 5 year warranty on the mower. I am told that the ***************** have a 3 year waranty. Last summer I returned the mower 2 times via ********** as defective. Each time it took weeks to get the mower back. The first time it came back and the issue wasn't fixed, so I sent it back again. The second time it came back it worked fine, having had a faulty switch on the telescoping handle repaired. But, I had very little use of the mower last summer. The battery has always been stored inside. This summer, I used it 3 times successfully. The 4th time I used it (last weekend), the battery lasted just a few (~10) seconds. I called Ego customer service, who walked me through Ego's mower and battery/charger trouble-shooting processes. Based on the results , Ego informed me that the mower was defective, and that they would send me a new mower which came without a battery or charger included. When I installed the fully-charged (original) battery into the new mower, it acted exactly as the original mower did (i.e. battery life = approx 10 seconds). I called Ego to report this and was told that I would have to purchase a new battery for $250. (I paid $400 for the mower with the battery.) In the meantime, the box that the new mower came in was taken away by our recyling service. When I told Ego customer Service that I would not pay for a new battery and that the box was gone, I was informed that, if i did not find a replacement box, and ship the new mower back, I would be charged for the new mower. This feels like a deliberate attempt to force me to buy a new $250 battery!Initial Complaint

I purchased an Ego battery operated lawn mower in May of 2021. I used it successfully through the summer of 2021. I store all my battery operated tools and chargers in the basement during the winter. April 2022, the Ego 56 volt battery would not accept charge . I called the company at the end of April, they agreed that the mower and battery was still under warranty and they would replace the battery. I did not receive the battery, I called in the middle of May .I was told"the battery is at the *** warehouse and they will deliver it". No battery delivered, I called again in the 2nd week of JuneChervon is NOT a BBB Accredited Business.
