A claim was filed by ********* Auto Service on 8/15/22 for upper and lower control arms/ ball joints (ONE piece). Claim was denied by Endurance. They say that control arms are not covered, but the part is ONE PIECE and can be separated! I feel that the claim should be paid for this reason. The claim is for $1390. The contract purchased by the consumer is a stated component coverage. This means that all eligible parts and components are listed by name in the schedule of coverage found in the contract. Any part not listed is not eligible for coverage.
On 8/15/22, a claim was filed under contract, with failures reported to the lower control arms. The repair facility reported the bushings were cracking and separating from the control arms. The control arms are not an eligible component, and the claim could not be authorized.
On 8/16, the repair facility contacted Endurance for clarification at the consumers request. The repair facility affirmed that the failure was to the control arms and that the ball joints were not failed. The control arms remained excluded as non-listed components. The ball joints were excluded by letter T of the Exclusions section, which states coverage is not provided for
T. For any repair or replacement of any Eligible Component if a Breakdown has not occurred

I purchased the Endurance warranty March 2021. I have 6 kids a granddaughter, we had just recently purchased a new house in 2020, a car in 2020 a had a wedding for Aug 29 2020 because of covid it was pushed to Aug 20th 2022. With purchasing a car with a car note and mortgage I knew I couldn't afford the services especially with it being a 2016 Cadillac xts. My wife ******** warranty ran out and we paid several 1,000's of dollars for repairs out of pocket. Trying save money I shopped around for extended warranty. I got in contact with Endurance and I liked what they were saying. Before I agreed on the contract I asked what voids the contract, is there anything that will void the contract? The person I was talking to say nothing everything is going to be fine. I paid the deposit for both cars and had the warranty from March 2021 to January 2022. My first claim for the ******** there was an issue with the tire company. I ended up paying over a $1,000 for front and back brakes and rotors a tire and wheel alignment for the ********. I only got an oil change for the Cadillac. The motor on the ******** ended up going. I contacted Endurance, I was behind a payment. I had to pay the back pay to put in a claim. Paid that, then one phone call I was sent to the finance department which was confusing because why am I making payments. The cost is $7,500, their estimator went to the shop checked the car and said it was an oil leak and said they can't do anything for it. I clearly asked several times what voids the contract and if they would have stated that they don't deal with oil leaks I would not have went with them. I asked for a full refund because It's no point in the warranty if you can't fix it. I can't afford to wasting money. We been driving the Cadillac since Jan and everything I had covered under warranty started messing up. I paid over $1,100 for front brakes and rotors 4 brand new tires and wheel alignment. On 3/27/21 the consumer contacted Endurance and purchased vehicle service contracts for a 2016 ******** and a 2016 Cadillac.
On 12/3/21, the consumers repair facility filed a claim under the consumers ******** contract. The repair facility reported that the vehicle had been driven in on 12/2 and an oil leak and engine noise were present and recommended an engine replacement. An independent inspector was dispatched to the repair facility to confirm the findings.
The inspector confirmed engine noise from the top end, a long-term oil leak from the oil filter housing gasket, as well as no oil visible on the dipstick. The claim could not be authorized according to the contract terms,which exclude coverage for
VIII.EXCLUSIONS WHAT IS NOT COVERED:
E. For any damage and/or Breakdown resulting from[..]lack of proper quality or quantity of fluids or lubricants
The consumer subsequently canceled the ******** contract and Endurance issued a refund.
On 5/18/21 the consumers repair facility filed a claim under the consumers Cadillac contract. Endurance authorized benefits under the contract for an oil change and tire rotation. No other repair claims were filed under the contract. The contract subsequently canceled due to non-payment. The terms of the contract specify that cancelation due to non-payment forfeits any and all refund rights and accordingly, no refund was issued.
Upon receipt of this complaint, an Endurance manager contacted the consumer and in the interest of customer ********************** offered to waive the forfeit and provide a pro-rata refund for the Cadillac contract. The consumer declined the offer. We appreciate the opportunity to demonstrate our commitment to customer **********************.

I have *** for my aunt, *************************. While reviewing her bank account I saw two charges to Endurance on July 27, 2022. One for $195 and one for an elite membership of $20. After speaking with her I looked up the company and sent my *** to the customer ********************** email address found on line so I could call when they opened since they are on central time. I made my initial call and was put on hold and during this time I requested a call back. While waiting I did a live chat and was told no information could be shared using that option. I made multiple calls, was put on hold, and was offered a return call sometimes. On my next call I spoke with *************************** and told her I had submitted the *** to the customer ********************** email address. ******* then informed me that it had to be sent to a person or it wouldn't be recognized. I then emailed it directly to her and she acknowledged receiving it. ******* did say she would take care of the cancellation and send the refund request to billing. I emailed ******* to check status of the refund and she repeatedly told me to contact billing directly about a refund. I never found a way to contact billing directly so I asked her for that information. I continued to get haphazard information and let ******* know I planned to do a BBB complaint with her name included. She said that was false information which is absolutely incorrect since she has been part of this process. After the wasted time with the calls prior to this I had no interest doing that again.On August 2, 2022, I then again did a live chat on the Endurance website with ****** which is attached. Today I did a lie chat with ******** which is also attached. Again, different information was shared on the refund. Bottom line is, I want the $215 refunded immediately because this process has been a waste of time and absolutely unprofessional. ******* also emailed me again on 8/3/22 to check status of refund which is curious since she said she isn't billing.Business Response

I am rejecting this response because:The company's response seems to say that the warranty was canceled immediately and the refund was issued right away which is ABSOLUTELY false. I had multiple phone calls, emails, and live chats in which they stated the refund had not been issued and would take 30 days and mailing would take **** days. If this were the case why was it sent via ***** and why wasn't I told it would be sent immediately? My guess is because my final live chat was on August 22, 2022, I was told again the check has not been issued and would take **** mailing days. I find it curious it arrived by ***** two days later. I think the only reason this refund was issued was due to my persistence in contacting the company.
This company is unprofessional and as far as I am concerned, unethical. They should be stopped from scamming people and providing false information to consumers.

Car heater/AC stop working took car to a repair shop that was certified by Endurance. Repair shop contacted Endurance. Received call from shop telling me that my warranty didnt cover repair. I then contacted Endurance to explain why the repair was not covered since this was a factory installed part. I was rudely advised that the repair shop worded the scope of repair order wrong therefore the coverage will not be paid. I then ask to cancel my policy at which time I was placed on hold forever then the call dropped. At this point I just want to cancel my contract and be refunded for any monies owed to me ASAP. Why offered a extended warranty when it does cover the cost of repairs for factory devises.Business Response

I purchased a new used 2014 ******** **** E350 vin # ***************** on May 6, 2022 and after having it checked out by a certified ******** dealer, I found out that the routine maintenance would be costly. I thought it may be beneficial to obtain a extended service plan. I called endurance because that had a good rating. After speaking with Joy with endur. ance I was undecided but she was determined to make a sale that day. I asked about routine maintenance and she said it was covered and that some things had a deductible 50 to 100 dollars. After receiving the official policy terms and breakdown, only oil changes are really covered and Endurance only covers an annual oil change up to 50 dollars when my oil changes are 150 dollars, also I need at least two per year with below moderate mileage, and ther is still a deductible of 50 dollars which means I get nothing. I explained to Joy, prior to purchasing the policy that with my type of vehicle I have and the fact that only specialized dealers could do work on my vehicle that everything was costly. She said she was well aware and that ******* are the same way. She said the plan was perfect for me. I signed up for the Endurance Advantage plan, on 05/112022, account # **************, contract # ************, down payment ******, monthly payments ****** on 6/11/22 and 7/11/22, I verbally canceled on 8/5/22 and I emailed a scan of the required notarized cancellation form on 8/9/22. I have not used any of their services and I would like a full refund for misrepresentation of services.Business Response

Upon receipt of this complaint, Endurance performed an internal investigation into the details of the consumer's account. This investigation included reviewing internal notes and phone calls with the consumer. Endurance found no evidence of misconduct.

I am rejecting this response because: the business wants me to take a partial settlement, which I was willing to do until I saw the release and settlement document that the business wanted me to sign. It basically a non-disclosure agreement. Also the business wont refund my money until after this and any other complaint is taken down and removed (company, government agency, or media. I have only made complaints with Endurance and the BBB. So this sounds like a way to prolong or discredit my refund. This is not what ********************* discussed over the phone with me. Once again this business is misrepresenting, misleading, an being unethical. As I originally stated, I want a full refund immediately after I sign a revised release form and this case will be closed as resolved and fully satisfied. If the business had handled my call to cancel more professionally and discussed a refund amount at that time, the BBB would have never been involved. I also emailed about a refund with no success. The company lost nothing, as I never used their services. I lost money for a service that would not cover my specific needs discussed during the sales conversation. I just want my full refund and I will have lost nothing, except a little time and I will be completely content.

On 4/14/22 a claim was filed under the customers contract.The repair facility reported that the vehicle had been driven in on 4/9 with an active check engine light and that the vehicle was running rough. The repair facility also noted that the condition of the oil was dirty, and the camshaft and camshaft bearings were lacking oil. The repair facility recommended replacement of the vehicles engine. An independent inspector was dispatched to confirm the repair facilitys findings.
The inspector confirmed multiple codes present indicating camshaft position sensor failure and that the engine ran rough. The inspector also documented that the camshaft retaining caps and the camshaft journals were deeply scored, which indicated operation with a lack of proper lubrication.Due to continued operation of the vehicle with known signs of failure,including a check engine light and rough running, the claim was excluded under the contract terms found in section VIII, which state that coverage is not provided for,
O. Any damage caused by failure to protect Your Vehicle from further damage when a Breakdown has occurred or failure to have Your Vehicle towed to the service facility when continued operation may result in further damage. Continued operation includes Your failure to observe warning lights, gauges, or any other signs of overheating or component failure, such as fluid leakage, slipping, knocking, or smoking,and not protecting Your Vehicle by continuing to drive creating damage beyond the initial failure.
All contracts sold by Endurance include complimentary roadside assistance, including towing services, to avoid the risk of operating a potentially unsafe vehicle and to assist the consumer in preventing further damage to the vehicle once a failure has occurred. I am rejecting this response because: this engine had a recent oil change. The truck was not driven while broke down. The dealership recommended a new engine and endurance only paid for timimg belts. I had to buy a new engine with my own money causing undue financial hardship. Not replacimg the engine is a direct breach of contrast and confidence. The inspetors findings were skewed to ******************************* from honoring the contract. Reimbursement for the engine i had to purchase is the honest thing to do.

Denied claim on ******************** December of 2020 I had done research and selected Endurance as the best option for an extended warranty on my ****** Rogue Select which had ****** miles on it at the time of buying the policy. This policy was intended to be a back stop because of me being disabled and living on a fixed income. I had bought the car used at approx. ****** miles and ensured the transmission fluid was changed and that the next service was due at ******* miles. I had taken the car to a dealer over slipping and sticking in the transmission. The deal informed me that the transmission needs replaced. This is a well-known issue with this CVT transmission in which ****** extended the factory warranty. Although the factor warranty had expired on the time frame, but it was just under the milage cap allowances. I then provided the dealer with my information regarding the supreme coverage that I had bought and pay a significant monthly fee for. The vehicle currently had just under ****** miles on it and it is 08/15/2022. I have paid into this warranty via auto draft and had never missed a payment.My claim was denied due to no service records of the transmission. I had informed that the transmission is not due for servicing until ******* miles via telling the dealership, calling immediately the day the claim was made, and talking through the matter with a supervisor several days later. Yes, I had to track them down to ask if the claim was approved or denied. I went several business days later as well as a weekend without a vehicle due to the small amount of money that would have been reimbursed if I rented a vehicle. Contacted Endurance Warranty concerning our 2011 **** Ranger which was having transmission problems. was advised to take to any service repair station, we took the vehicle to *********** in ************ **, they advised Endurance that vehicle was overfilled on transmission fluid. We contacted Endurance and was advised by them to vehicle to another repair station, and to go online to repaircar.com to find a shop that excepts Endurance warranty, when my husband picked up the vehicle from Whites auto, he checked the transmission fluid, and showed service advisor that fluid level was right in the marks on the dipstick service advisor stated that the technician reported it as overfilled. We then vehicle to A&R repair in *********** **, was advised by A&R that transmission was not overfilled, that transmission was slipping from second to third gear, and transmission needed replaced, they also advised us that Endurance had denied the claim. we then contacted Endurance by Supervisor ********************* that claim was denied based on Whites Auro invoice stating transmission was overfilled with fluid. On 6/30/22, a claim was filed under the consumers contract with a failure reported to the engine. The repair facility reported metal debris at the end of the cam sensor, and the vehicle displayed several diagnostic trouble codes. Endurance requested documentation to verify that the consumer met the manufacturer's maintenance requirements.
The consumer provided documentation intended to show oil change services. After review, Endurance determined that the consumer's submission was not verifiable as multiple documents were handwritten. Endurance could not verify that the consumer met maintenance requirements, and the claim could not proceed.

I am rejecting this response because:They requested the last 3 oil changes. I have had many oil changes over the past year which satisfies the contract.
