The worst experience I’ve ever had in working with the company. They are complete thieves will ruin your property and then act completely negligent and everyone from the sales rep to their marketing team and customer satisfaction team will ghost you and not call you back all empty promises I have so many photos and documents. It’s not even funny. We have over $1500 worth of structural damage. Just look at their one star reviews for their Connecticut Hartford branch and you’ll see what I mean

The installers were horrible. Poor communication skills. Didn’t understand English very well. Floors look great except for the moldings that look like patch jobs. They damaged and broke quite a few things. Showed up 2 hours late each day. Didn’t handle furniture well. Didn’t put furniture back in right places including a very heavy 2 piece china closet. Scratched my dining room table and leaves for the table by piling smaller furniture on top of it. Broke hanging light fixture which matched 2 other fixtures in my kitchen. Broke toilet when removing. Leaked water into drop ceiling in basement when removing toilet. Destroyed paint in bathroom. Didn’t cover piles of furniture they moved room to room resulting in dust, sawdust, wood and ceramic tile chips stuck on my couch, in my gas top and stove and stuck to felt side of table leafs. Left windows open that were blocked by heavy piles of furniture making it difficult for me to reach to close when they left for the day. Broke doorbell. Left razor blades on outdoor step when they left. Nails sticking out of moldings. Door jam has big gap in kitchen leading to garage. Installers changed my 2 part installation dates without consulting with me. For the amount of money I spent to upgrade my floors I shouldn’t have to be laying out more money to fix and replace what they destroyed!! I was offered $300 after complaining to customer service. I declined and asked for a refund for the installation. I was told they don’t do that. Also told me to submit two estimates for repairs. I requested Empire send someone to inspect all the damages. Let’s see if that happens.

If I could leave negative stars I would. Do not use this company, all you will get is a headache and really poor flooring. They will lie to you and scam you out of your money only to be left with flooring that falls apart immediately. They accept no liability because somehow everything is someone else's fault and out of warranty. Mandy will do nothing to help find a solution other than the consumer paying more money to replace their mess up. Save yourself money and sanity and choose a different company.

So far we’ve been very pleased with Empire and the pre work stage. Doug was very helpful and accommodating for our needs. He worked within our budget and even came back when we had further questions. I’ll post again after the install.

This was the 4th time we've used Empire for new flooring installation. This one entailed picking up some previously installed ceramic flooring and installing ceramic tiles to match a recent install. The crew did a great job. The longest and hardest part of the install was removing the old mortar but they got the floor all smoothed out again prior to laying the new/matching tile. The crew was courteous and was considerate of our furniture and covered it while sanding/smoothing the mortar. I'd use them again in a heartbeat and recommend them to anyone looking to get flooring installed. we already knew what material we wanted, from the previous install, so the estimate went smooth and quick.

Again used Empire for carpets and dreaded the installation due to damage done 10 years ago with a screen door. Well it happened again, first only one installer actually spoke some English, they broke a new door handle only put in 1 week prior using the bathroom, broke the button lock and lied and said they didn't do it, gauged out wood on a door and scraped new paint on the walls which was just painted 2 days prior and they were told to please watch it. They did not want me telling Empire and offered to pay the $22.00 cash for the handle and lied about the paint scraping on the walls in spots. DISGUSTING!! I will never use Empire again only because of their lousy and careless installers!!

Worst experience ever. Never use this company. The sales person added extended warranty, Very sneaky, he also stated my total under the 24 month free financing. It was by 19 cents!!!! Shame on you Steve M. Had to go through hoops and holding to cancel this warranty. & the customer service stated they had to put in a request. Buyers beware.

I had my upstairs kitchen/dining area and nearly all of my lower level installed with 2 different floorings-LVP and laminate. Installed in Feb 2025 and buckling, cracking, and coming apart on BOTH levels of my home 3 months later! Customer service reps are kind but there is no follow through from the next point of contact! Supposedly someone should contact you 1-3 business days after calling but this hasnt happened all THREE times I’ve had to call for the same issue! Someone finally came out to look at the floor, repaired the worst part of the it but only because we basically begged because my 2 year old runs around on these floors and it was getting dangerous. The rep said he would need to test the floor for moisture and determine if the batch of flooring was bad or if install wasn’t done correctly. After no contact for a couple weeks I called to follow up and THEY CLOSED THE SERVICE TICKET. I’m tired of the runaround with this company and after spending $8k+ on flooring I can guarantee I will never give them my business again and I will continue to warn others about the awful product and customer service they provide. It’s honestly shameful.

I can’t begin to describe how bad of an experience I had with empire. To start, our sales rep said that both me and my wife misunderstood him with the timing of our install and that it would be the afternoon. That would be fine, except they wouldn’t have made it to our house until 5PM and finish at 9PM so we had to reschedule. When they finally did the work, they scuffed up 7 of our walls, sanded a door down incorrectly and left sawdust everywhere and left loose staples and nails all over the carpet. Our sales rep also did not measure our door right so now we can barely open door to the closet. Our sales rep was less than helpful and just pushed us to support and offered no support. When we filed the complaint we were told the walls would be fixed and the door that was sanded would be as well. When we were reached out to an agent they told us that nothing would be fixed despite all the listed above and we would need to pay to have our other door sanded. I had to resubmit another ticket and deal with a very rude agent who cut me off when I was trying to explain what was wrong with “sir please let me talk” and also said “sir it sounds like you have a lot to say, so why don’t you go ahead.” After she finally listen and realized what I was saying she had me send a video of the door not closing. Then I was basically ghosted for 3 days because I missed a call back by 3 minutes. Every time I called I was told my agent was busy and left call back times but was never called back. I even followed up on the email I sent 3 days in a row and never received and answer. She finally reached out 3 days later after she called me to schedule service. I wasn’t sure what day my wife was off so picked a day and needed to change it. Now I of course can’t get into contact and will probably go a month without service on anything I listed above. If I had more than 2000 characters I would go on about how bad Empire is but I’m limited. Never ever ever ever use empire.

William was very helpful with our initial appointment. He was knowledgable about products, walked us thru the whole process and very helpful.
