      The sales person was great and very knowledgeable.. everything that has come afterwards has been a nitemare. This company has canceled last minute 3 times so far leaving me with missed days from work, motel reservations I couldnt cancel, and most all my belongings stuffed into the garage for months now waiting for them to actually install my floors..I have made 3 payments on floors I dont even own yet.. I now have a 4th install date for August 4th.. hoping that I am not called last minute yet again saying they dont have the product on hand to install and moved out even further. What a horrible experience for something I paid so much for

      This company has been the biggest nightmare of my life in *******. They don't provide good customer service. They don't hire experienced workers. They did send people to fix a problem and the workers didn't want to work and were yelling at me for 1/2 hour. I didn't kick them out and made them do some work and not all because I knew I would never get this company to send more workers. They damaged my property and ruined my new carpeting. And absolutely no one would return my calls. I disputed some of the money with my credit card and won so I got a small amount of my money back for damages And now I'm getting threatening letters from them to give that money back. I want to save anyone I can from going through what I've been dealing with for a year. Check other reviews for this company.

      Buyer beware of bait and switch practices. We were quoted for an LVP install that was too high and in a color we did not love. Upon turning down the offer, I received many marketing emails with discounted offers in attempt to gain our business. I called in to customer service and was given a much better price in a color we really liked so I agreed to have the representative back out and enter a contract. The representative, *************************, said he was unable to alter the original contract so he had us sign and insisted he would send it to a back office to reflect the correct color. We are a week out from install and getting calls to confirm the job. When asked to confirm the color - the wrong shade is still on the contract and now they want more money, nearly the amount of the original quote that we turned down even though the contract we signed and my finance agreement reflects the lower price. When I escalated the call, a call center manager named ******* tried to gaslight me and said I supposedly spoke to someone as if I am making this up. All of the customer notes reflect the product we wanted at the lower price, yet no one will honor it unless I give them more money. We planned to use empire today for a much larger job in our home and were looking forward to this install. I cab confidently say we will never give them a dime and we will warn everyone against doing business with them.

      Initially my install was supposed to take place on June 21st and no one showed up so I called their office and they said it had been rescheduled due to lack of materials. Well that's fine but why did no one call me. Then they rescheduled for July 6th but the installer walked off the job. They rescheduled again for July 8th. I paid them for the install and some additional funds for some subflooring repairs that we were anticipating. They did the demo of the old flooring that day but never came back to do the new install. Someone called me on Monday July 11th for a follow up and when I informed them that the install wasn't complete they said someone would call me the next day. I never heard from anyone, so called to follow up on Thursday the 14th and they put in a ticket for someone to call back. It's now been 10 days with my kitchen a mess and my Livingroom filled with my kitchen furniture and me waiting for "call backs".

      I will start from beginning, we called empire today for installation of vinyl flooring in our apartment. The guy came and took all the measurement and assured us that the job will be done in 2 days or maximum 3 days.. he took the initial 25% to start the job and told me work will start by next week.. so next week the installers come and asked me for remaining balance. I was like we already paid 25% and we will pay you once the job is completed. Thats when they started getting super aggresive for the payment and ultimately we gave them remaining 75% of the money. Then they start making excuses that they do not have equipment, materials and said he will start the job some other day. Later he came after 2 days and finished 30% job and since then all my furnitures is been held back and basically we are living in a house where there is nothing except empty furnitures because we moved all the small stuff to other room where flooring is not required. They promised us they will complete the job in 2-3 days and its been a week they havent finished it yet.. the quality of work is questionable too.. further i just want them to come and finish the job but i feel they are not going to finish the job until their quoto of 30days completion of job comes to an end. I am glad i did not give them my entire house project. Further they do not call you and give the updates and customer service rep are rude and you feel nothing but miserable.. never ever in my life will do any work with empire today.. worst service ever i dont know how they survived for so long with this kind of work ethics.

      The only reason I chose to try Empire over my preferred local company was for the fast installation. I scheduled it out a few weeks ahead of time. Felt rushed to make my decision with the estimator but figured the fast intall might be worth it. I made a big down payment for my vinyl and carpet for my kitchen, living room and hallway. I had them come a few days later for my 3 bedroom estimate, I paid for those 3 rooms in full immediately. About a week before my service, Empire kept calling to confirm my 2 days of appointments. When I called to confirm they said it could be anywhere between 8am and 6pm that they'd arrive. I had originally set up for early morning times. WHO HAS THAT KIND OF TIME TO SIT AROUND AND WAIT! I still kept getting confirmation calls, after I just confirmed. The morning of, I got a call around 8am saying they'd be here in a half hr. They were not here at 8:45/9, I called to make sure they had my address right. I got 2 more calls saying another half hour each. They showed up around 11. They came up from ******* to GB, ** then back south to me, there's absolutely no organization! They measured my kitchen and were short 3 boxes(30pieces)of luxury vinyl plank. My kitchen is not very big. They wanted me to pay in full right then for vinyl they didn't even have. I was worried as to who would come to finish it if they did half now and finished later. They couldn't figure it out with a manager on the phone. I refused to pay any more, glad I did! Hoped the next day carpet would go well. I got a vmail around 7pm, carpet will not be installed in the morning bc they need 2 rolls and they only had 1. Why keep calling to confirm when you don't have the correct product? I put trust and money in Empire thinking they're a reliable business. I had to board my dog$$$. I was so scared Empire wouldn't refund me my 5.5K bc the cancelation guy rushed me off the phone. I was refunded. Empire ended up being more expensive than my local high quality flooring store.

      The customer service treatment at ********************** is unsatisfactory at best. I have been hung up by two different people on three occasions. *****************, the salesman that came to my house for the sales presentation, told me he does not work for Empire when I called him about my flooring issue. When I asked him if he still does sales presentations for Empire, he stated he does. Then when I started to say that he works for Empire because he is the only person Ive ever dealt with, he hung up on me. I tried calling and texting him but he ignored them. He even wrote his name, phone number, and the business Empire Today on a piece of paper after I agreed to purchase the flooring. Most recently, ********, the customer service center representative, and I were having a discussion. During our call, she explained their side and when I started to speak, she kept interrupting me and when I asked if she would allow me to explain without interruption, she kept cutting in and eventually hung up on me. I brought my issue again to Empire and it was sent back to her to handle. On our next phone call, she initially admitted that she was wrong for hanging up on me but later on the phone call, she hung up on me again. I then tried contacting someone from corporate and spoke with *** from the ***** office. When I explained the situation to him, he said that the representative has the right to hang up if I curse or yell at them. He immediately insinuated that I was in the wrong and cursed or yelled at ********, which I did not. I dont know if it is in Empire Todays customer service training to treat their customers in such a rude way. I hope you review the recordings and re-train your representatives on proper customer service. My issue has still not been resolved and its very disappointing that a company with annual revenues of $844.5 million will nickel and dime their customers.

      We had them replace the upstairs carpets and bathroom floor. We bought the carpet with the warranty and know we have snags and they did a terrible job with seams. They used nails to put the transition between the bathroom and carpet now the are sticking up (the nails). We have called and asked for help multiple times and get no results. This is no way to run a business!

      At 10 am, on the day of the installation (set up a month in advance), they called to say they wouldn't make it. My husband lost a day's work (talking about hidden costs!). I had nowhere to sit, as my main living area had been all packed and cleared and the furniture and boxes were taking up every available inch of the apartment. My first reaction was to cancel the deal, then I talked to main office and they assured me they could install the next day. I also spoke with someone in the local office to request a morning installation because I had a prior engagement for that day. They said they wouldn't know the time for sure until the next morning. The next day I found out they had cancelled the account and I was waiting in vain. So another day lost. I had trusted the name of the company and didn't check reviews in advance. I had not realized that the Empire Today has deteriorated so much. Hope that my deposit gets refunded as promised within 7 days. I'm living out of boxes for a third day, while I'm looking for other more reliable vendors. I hope this review helps someone else avoid such hassle.

      I called empire carpet for an estimate on my home. A representative came to my house and gave me the estimate but without my knowledge or permission empire carpets representative decided to take it on himself and get an approval with ***** Fargo. When I called empire they said they will get back to me within 24 hrs. They never did. I finally got back to them complaint Their supervisor told me that its my fault for giving the rep my information. But asked if I still wanted the installation or cancel it. I informed her if she understood that the rep did something wrong and without my permission got a credit card under empire carpet. Thats illegal. The worse part of it was the supervisors attitude in regards to the situation. As to the first call they were supposed to call **** Fargo and explain to them exactly what was wrong. How can empire take your information and take it upon themselves to illegally get a credit card to pay for their company.
