On Thursday 3/21 gave ***** a deposit, he says "my ****** will make out the schedule on Sat or Tuesday. I called both days. It seems like I was bothering him so he told me that the weather needed to be over 40 degrees at night before they could start. I said OK. Today is Wednesday, March 27. Weather was cold, but they came and broke up the concrete stairs and laid down a frame. I received a message from ***** saying that they would start pouring tomorrow. The weather says it was gonna be cold and not over 40 until that afternoon. I called him left him a message questioning that and also the big pieces of concrete that was left, he seemed irritated because I was asking him questions claimed that he was at a family function and that it's not a 24 hour service. I saw that he called at five. I got home at 7ish and so I text him, he called ME back. If he was at a family function he could've just called me in the morning and we could've arrange the schedule from that. It seemed like he was just he didn't want any pushback but I was only going by what he told me, "you know, the weather needs to be a certain temperature". That was the delay then, and now he says "well we're just gonna pour you next week, I don't have time for this!" I have no problem with that. I just want the job done correctly but understand the longer it takes for you to pour the longer it's gonna take for you to get your other two payments, so what are we doing here?? This is bad bad customer service. I see why there's only two stars. Fingers crossed that the service gets better.

Terrible. The concrete cracked in less than three weeks. The owner said he doesn't guarantee against cracking. Refused to repair. Do not hire this company.

Bald Eagle Construction did in fact view the area referred to in the complaint. This project was performed to the code as specified by the building department. The building department approved our work at the ****POUR inspection and again approved the final result at the end of the project at the FINAL inspection. The difficult truth about concrete is that it will crack. Concrete must crack due to the fact that concrete contracts (shrinks) during the hydration process (drying, curing, hardening) and the bond between the cement paste and the aggregates is not strong enough to withstand the stress. All we can do as contractors, is to help control where this cracking will occur. We perform our concrete work according to local codes, as well as common concrete pouring standards. Part of that process is to use control joints across the poured concrete areas. The purpose of the control joints is to create a weakness in a specific area of the concrete. The goal of this weakness is to induce the inevitable cracking (that must occur) to run along the control joint (and thereby be less visible). Cracking may also result if the ground area below the grade-level concrete work area moves (heaving or settling) subsequent to the work being done. We are not aware of any concrete contractor who will guarantee that the concrete they pour, will not crack. In fact, any contractor who makes that lofty promise might be one to avoid. Bald Eagle Construction does not (and never has) guaranteed any customer that the concrete we pour will not crack. We know that it will crack. Because we know concrete will crack, we include a clause in all of our contracts stating that Bald Eagle Construction is not responsible for random cracking. The homeowner was able to review the proposed contract for 5 days prior to contracting with Bald Eagle Construction. Additionally, because the homeowner was having a pool installed, the building department did not issue the permit for the driveway until four months subsequent to the signing of the contract. At no point did the homeowner raise any objections as to the terms of the contract. It is unfortunate when concrete cracks, but it is not possible to prevent. As much as we would like to alter its curing dynamics, we are incapable of tinkering with the physics of concrete. This project was performed to ********** building department code as specified by the building department. The building department approved our work at the ****POUR inspection and again approved the final result at the end of the project at the FINAL inspection.

Please do yourself a favor and look elsewhere! We had our driveway done by them 8/14/20. Litterally just over 2 years. THE DRIVEWAY IS FALLING APART.When they were done with he driveway, it was a rough finish. I had never seen this before, so I thought this was a new method.Well, a rough surface catches everything.Bald Eagle said not to use salt. Well, this is no problem. I'm retired, my husband works from home. In other words, we have no reason to get out quickly and use salt. We have a man come shovel. The driveway is cracking, pitted, and the sections are cracking away from each other. I call them. No call back. I went to the website and contacted them via the new customer form, putting a message and pictures in the message area. No call. I'm just sick about this.
