I went to the doctor in May of 2024 I was sent to another doctor where I received the Irhythm at the time of visit I had primary and secondary insurance which I presented at time of service. Now fast forward to September I received a bill for $995 when I reached out to Irhythm they finally billed the primary but didn't bill the secondary which brought the bill down. I waited a few month past and the I got the second notice which still showed over $500 and I called again and I was told they would file the secondary insurance. Then I got text from some so called collection company then I got a call and a voicemail was left. Then today I got a letter in the mail from capital recovery. It's really sad companies don't communicateInitial Complaint

I had a heart monitor requested by my cardiologist. the clinicused the Zio monitor. Since I had monitor returned, the company keeps sending me bills. It is completely covered by my insurance. The last I heard from Irhythm was when someone called me to discuss billing. I provided all my insurance information and the person said I would no longer be charged. Today I received another bill saying that they never heard from me, the bill is past due and they will send me to collection. I am insured and my cardiologist said that there is no charge I need to pay since it was her request.Initial Complaint

Cardiologist ordered an iRhythm heart monitor for a week. I sent it back and got a bill in the mail for $395.00 with no insurance adjustment at all. I've called 6 times to the iRhythm customer service center. Each time, they do not answer and when you leave a message for them to call back, nobody ever does. I just got a second statement saying my account is past due. They still do not answer the phone or call anyone back. I do not want this going to collections when i'm actively trying to get them the health insurance ************** iRhythm account number is ********** and my health insurance is Independence Personal Choice (************, **) Acct# *************Initial Complaint

I had a heart monitored ordered by my doctor. I took it off after one day because it was extremely uncomfortable and caused a rash. I called iRhythm, provider of the monitor, and said I wanted to send it back because of the discomfort. I was told by a customer service representative that I would not be charged if I sent it back. The company billed my insurance $995 for one day of monitoring and left me with the balance of $259.36. I should not be charged for this. I also tried calling customer service when I received the bill and was disconnected and transferred several times.Initial Complaint

The issue is with irhythm a company that provides heart monitors for the patient to wear at home. I did this and I was billed for an amount I did not expect. On May 7th I paid the bill ($495.20) and then found out my co-pay should have been $40.00 as per my insurance company. (Pacific Source Medicare).I have made calls to iRhythm beginning June 1, 2024 and have called at least once per month since then. Each time I am told the refund is in process. I've also been told a supervisor would return my calls but never has. I called again today ,10/10/24, and again was told to expect a call back. They have put me off for 5 months now.Initial Complaint

In January 2024 I was billed $155.11 for ******** services, which I paid. My secondary insurance then paid $39.09. The balance I actually owed was $116.02. On March 12, 2024 I spoke to *** in customer service, ************. He said a refund of $39.09 would be issued and to expect a refund check in ***** days. On May 28, 2024 I sent an email to support @irhythmtech.com inquiring about the refund check and never received a reply. On June 6, 2024 I called and spoke with *** in ***************** She said she would escalate the problem to her supervisor. They were having problems with their vendor and to give them some time to get things straightened out as they were getting a new vendor. She said I should expect a resolution within a week. Today June 14, 2024, I called customer service again and spoke with ******. He said my account was under review and I would just have to allow them more time. He said someone would get back with me but would not give me a time frame. I told him I was filing a complaint with the BBB. Can you please help me get this refund?********************* ************Initial Complaint

I was prescribed a Zio Heart monitor by my cardiologist on 2/7/2024. His assistant gave me a heart monitoring device to take home and use. A few days later, I also received a device in the mail. I called Irhythm, the device maker, who told me to send back the second device and that I would not be charged. I sent it back. Irhythm told me they had checked my insurance and my out-of-pocket cost would be $20.00. I began receiving bills for $395.00. I called the company on 2/16/2024 at 1pm CST and spoke with ***** who told me I was only responsible for $20.00 (conversation #********). I continue to receive bills for $395.00 but none for $20.00. I would rather not have my credit rating take a hit because their billing department can't keep their records straight. Thank you for any help you can offer.Initial Complaint

I received services from this company in 2024, however they sent the bill months later in 2025, due to how long it took to get the bill, I'm not able to use flexible spending funds to cover it since we are in 2025. I called this business a couple of months ago to pay and was treated poorly and unfairly, they ignore me and never returned my call. I feel is due to my ethnicity and my language limitations. Now they are forcing me to pay my bill in 11 payments, and when I requested an extension to be able to pay they refused. They should be flexible considering how late they send their bills, impacting the use of flexible spending funds for that fiscal year. This is definitely discriminatory treatmentInitial Complaint

I paid a bill which irhythm said would be my responsibility on February 1,2024.. They sent the bill so that when I received it was already a day late so I paid it. I found out later that my supplemental insurance company had also paid this bill via a prepaid card. Iryhthm let the card expire and my insurance sent a check which was cashed on April 3,2024. I have called several times this month only being able to talk to a service representative (******) once on April 15th. The other 4 times I am told to leave a name and number and they will call back. I have never received a call back. I have also emailed them with no response received. The service representative confirmed on April 15th that the check was received on April 3, 2024 from my insurance company and per her request I had my insurance company fax a copy of the check as well on April 15th. She gave me the story that even though the check was cashed and in their account It wasnt able to be processed yet for a refund. The amount I am trying to recover is $66.89. The amount is not the issue it is a concern that if they do this over and over again they are increasing their bottom line at the expense of consumers and insurance companies. I have also notified ********* Your help is appreciated.
