We opened an account with Verizon Connect for tracking devices to be used on our trucks in February of 2021. From day one these devices were constantly providing inaccurate and inconsistent data. After about a year of struggle and more than 10 open cases with Verizon in effort to try to get these trackers to work, we had to close the account. It took us over 6 months to close the account as Verizon tried to charge us contract cancellation fee. We paid over $4000 for 9 months of bad service for Verizon Connect tracking devices that never worked. We worked with multiple business success managers in order to try to close the account and spent countless number of hours dealing with Verizon support. We have requested a refund for the 9 months that we paid for the service. Our attorney sent an email to Verizon correspondence team over two weeks ago. We have not heard back.Business Response

I enrolled in Verizon Connect a/b 1.5 yrs ago. I called Verizon Connect in early July '22 to cancel & they said someone would call me. 7/15/22 I told ********************* I wanted to cancel. She put in request, told me not to send equipt back, told me I owed $931.10 for early term. I explained that I was told it would only be $150 to cancel when I signed up. She said she would look into it & call, I never heard back. 7/20/22 called cust service. They told me to send back *********** rep was now *****************************. Contacted ****** many times through email (no phone #) she told me I needed written proof I was told $150. 7/7/22 I sent the email from ************************* showing he told me $150. ****** submitted email to finance & said it would be 4-6 ******* had to keep paying b/c my account won't cancel until balance is 0. 8/1/22 I asked for ******** supervisor, she said she would call in ***** hrs. Emailed 8/10, 8/12 no response. 8/15 I asked for a # to call (she would not provide) & said her manager's name was ********************** 8/15 ***** called me & said she was meeting with finance & would have an answer. She said she would refund me 2 months of payments b/c I had cancelled & paid those bills. 8/19/22 I emailed ****** b/c ***** never called ******** said I was approved for a $0 Early Term Fee. 8/19 I got a call from ********************************* is my new rep (a/b 10 reps in 1.5yrs). Since then I have called & emailed many times (30 or so) b/c the account shows closed & then open. I have not received my (now) 4 months of refund. 9/21 ***************************** emailed me stating that my refund was submitted & mailed to me, ****** then quit. Now I get emails stating it is open & going to go to collections. I have called cust service many times, each time they say they are submitting it & will call me back. No call back & no action. called today, on hold for supervisor for 30 min then they hung up. called again & waiting on call back. No service provided I purchased this device because it is a tracker for my dump trailer rental business. However the device they sent me does not work. A second tracker they sent me also did not work. When I requested a refund they would not give me one due to the contract I signed. October of 2021 I signed up for two trucks to have GPS systems installed. By December the systems were not installed and I started to be billed. By January of 2022 I contacted Verizon Connect to cancel service. March 2022 the cancellation request was finally filed. This did not stop anything. Every month accounts relievable contacts me about my past due amount. I call back and file a dispute and I am sent to customer service. **************** files another request to cancel and informs me that this may take up to two weeks. Back in December 2022 I inquired about Verizon Connect gps and fleet management for my truck. (Im a truck driver) / owner operator. I agreed to service, then changed my mind. They never sent or installed any equipment. Then I receive a bill for 75 dollars in June 2022. I called their customer service, and was told that being that I never received any service, they would zero out the account and cancel it. Since then, I receive a bill every month, and call them back every month, and I am told the same thing. The account will be zeroed out and deleted. Ive spoken with about 40 representatives and always have the same outcome. They will send a finance request to zero out the balance and delete the account. Now I am receiving final notice calls. They will be putting me Into collections. I started to document pool I spoke to you on which dates back in June, but basically once they put the request in, they ignore me with any follow up information requests. *** spent countless hours on the phone trying to get this resolved. My business has had an ongoing issue with Verizon Connect from an account we had with them for *** tracking units on our fleet. In November of 2020, we cancelled our service with them but were informed we would still need to pay for a few of the units until May 2021 and final billed in June 2021. They continued to charge our credit card we had on file for an automatic payment on one of the *** units after June 2021. Our credit card's expiration date expired and they no longer were able to keep charging us even though we were told June 2021 would be the last charge. We have called multiple times, filed complaints and was ensured many times the issue was resolved and our account closed with a credit coming. On 1/19/22 I called and was told credit was coming and will be handled. On 2/16/2022 we received an email about a credit of $407.90 coming but never did. On 8/17/2022, I spoke to ****** and ****, and was given an open dispute claim Ref #********. I was told that they canceled the lines that was left open and on auto renew. ****** assured me she cancelled it and that Verizon Connect would refund us all the months they charged us erroneously. On 9/8/2022 I followed up with a ******************************* at Verizon Connect, *********************, because we received yet another past due notice from them that we owed on the account. She told me the claim was still open and that it can take months for them to review and to be patient. Today is 11/4/2022 and we received yet another email from them, this time with a Notice to Cure-Nonpayment Termination. I do not have the energy or resources to keep calling them to stop trying to charge us for an account we closed in November of 2020! Please help. I have recorded calls as well for evidence. We do not want them to send us to Collections over their incompetency to cancel our account.Business Response

I began a service with Verizon Connect to utilize Electronic Log Book Serivces. The equipment sent to me was not compatible with my vehicle. The devices were never used at all. I spent numerous hours on the phone in attempt to work with someone to install with no success. I had signed paperwork which is attached stating there would be no charge for the first 3 months of service. The service was never started. I have requested numerous times to cancel the service and I am always told that someone will call me back. I still do not have a cancellation confirmation, no one responds to my emails, I can provide proof of numerous emails. I also received an invoice stating my account would be charged for a service that was never provided.Business Response

When I called in I was transferred to three different people and left on hold for ridiculous amounts of time and was unable to continue to sit on hold due to the fact I have to work and cannot sit on the phone all day. June 11 2022, I purchased for my small business Verizon Connect, it is an Electronic Log Device for trucks. A sales representative from Verizon connect sold me a promotion. "3 months free and free equipment with no activation fees and nothing due today. It is ***** a month after your 3 months free. "I agreed to the promotion. Shortly there after the Device was sent to the house. It came with no manual of any kind. I had no idea how to setup this device or use. I reached out to Verizon connect for support, customer support I got or foreigner who can only submit a ticket. I call several time and tickets were submitted everytime but Noone ever got back to me and support ever came. I reached out to the sales representative and was ghosted. I finally requested a returned postage to send the product back. I got it and returned the product within a few weeks after receiving it.Having never used or attempt to use it. Proir to sending back I notice iwas billed for $14. I try to get Verizon connect to tell me why I was billed $14 when the promotion deal says no fee for 3 months. I have gotten no response or refund.Verizon connect continues to bill and charge my account every month the $40 monthly charge despite me no longer having the device and have requested my account be terminated. The first time I got an email response from Verizon connect was an email that informs me that even though I sent the product back. I have to still pay for the full cost of the device. After I have no more correspondence despite my may efforts.I would like Verizon connect to stop defrauding its customers with its bogus service and returned my money or at least stop taking my money.I would include a copy of the contract I signed; however, your policy says not to include PIIBusiness Response

I signed up to get a service with Verizon Connect for my truck ... I never received the service. I've received multiple bills for the service I didn't receive... I've tried contacting them on multiple occasions...I've called, emailed, wrote letters and no one has contacted me back. I 'm not receiving emails from their collections department. I want the harassment to stop as this company is a fraud.
