This place is a joke. I have been in pain for months. I waited for 5 months to get in to get my tooth extracted and when I got there only thing she did was give me a cleaning. Gave me an appointment to come back 4 months later I called everyday finally got somebody to move my appointment up til 11/10 only to get here and was told my appointment was canceled. This is my 6th time coming here and no help. Im ****** cause Im in so much pain. But I will never go backFamilia Dental LLC

I agreed to get braces in March of 2020 with an original plan to wear them for ***** months. 3 years and 5 months later I am still wearing them due to Familia Dental struggling to retain an orthodontist, which has resulted in multiple delays and setbacks in my treatment. The changes in orthodontists have led to confusion regarding my progress and what steps need to be taken next. It's unacceptable and I am tired. I have brought it up to their attention but all they can say is, "Next month the permanent doctor will be here". Overall, I cannot recommend this dentistry for orthodontic treatment. The constant staff changes have made for a stressful and frustrating experience in which the prolonged treatment has left me feeling as if my money and time were wasted.Familia Dental LLC

Had a orthodontist appointment at 9:30am. Brought paperwork from another dentist clearing my child for orthodontic work. Was told it wasn't valid because they needed it on their paperwork. Took a hour to drive to the other dentist office, get the paperwork signed & return back to familia dental (Midtown). Upon returning I was told they needed to verify the paperwork that they literally gave me an hour before. This clinic is definitely a joke. Every two out of three people are getting turned away for something clerical on familia dental part. I understand why they have security on site because they create a stressful situation for their customers. All can be cleared with a call before the appointment & letting people know what exactly they need for treatment.Familia Dental LLC

Horrible experience! Appointment was at 3:30 we did not get back until after 4:00. All we needed was a school exam and they did multiple xrays on ***********. We had to attend unpack your back pack for school at 5pm and was late very rude and unprofessional.Familia Dental LLC

Came back from vacation to get a cavity filled and 5 minutes before my appointment they called to tell me that I have to reschedule my appointment because of technical issues. After driving 6 hours to make my appointment I will never return to the place EVER!!! Or any of my four kids. Poorly ran and should not be in business.Familia Dental LLC

I Looked into this complaint and his daughter had an appt on 7/1. We do have a policy where they have to confirm the patients appt 24 hrs before. If they do not and we need the spot for an emergency appt we can cancel it. This is told to them when they schedule an appointment. It does show in our system that the pt's father was contacted but never reached to confirm said appt. They did end u cancelling the 1:30pm appt at 11am.

Unfortunately, we do get booked out far because in some areas we are the only dental office that takes ********* It also depends on how many Drs we have in the office at one time. Our Drs try to see as many patents as they can.

went in for a dental checkup/cleaning, my dentist informed me that I have a cavity, and that my insurance may cover it. the dentist told me that I could sign a waiver to have it taken care of, and if the insurance didn't cover it, then I would be responsible. I requested that an order be put in for a prior authorization. dentist refused, stating that I had requested a prior auth prevoisly and didn't act on it. I declined to sign said waiver to have whatever work needed to be done done (dentist never informed me as to whether he was going to extract the tooth or fill the cavity). Upon my refusal, dentist stated that if cavity was an issue at next appointment, I would be referred to an oral surgeon.
The only way I wouldn't have acted on a prior auth is if I were not informed that it had been granted, so either the company never informed me of the prior auth being granted, or the dentist was lying to me to make me pay for a service that I wouldn't pay for without it being covered by my insurance.
I recommend you do not sign a waiver like this without first going home, calling your insurance company and discussing it with them.Familia Dental LLC

This was a first new patient visit/cleaning. Absolutely the worst dentist experience EVER. My husband is a quadriplegic, the office is not handicap accessible, including the entrance. They did not take a medical history, ask about his current medications or allergies. The did no X-rays nor exam. Dentist rushed in (after waiting 50 mins) and used a water pic and scraped his 4 bottom teeth, thats it! He said he has no cavities or plaque anywhere else. Both are visible to the naked eye. Plus he hasnt been to the dentist in over 20 years!! He was bleeding heavily and given no after care instructions other than return in a year. I have no idea how they remain open! Only giving one star because zero stars is not an option.Familia Dental LLC

I had braces put on in November 2019 in the Springfield location with the plan of 24 months for around $5000. This amount has been paid in full for over 2 years. Here we are in June 2023 and they are still on. They cannot give me a date where they will be removed. During this time, there was a ortho dentist switch due to the orthodontist leaving. With the original plan of only 6 teeth being removed, I had 8 including my wisdom teeth. The original orthodontist told me only six needed to be removed and now my gums are starting to go over my teeth because there is so much extra room. I do have good oral hygiene and floss multiple times a day Im frustrated because my teeth are not getting any better. Every time I go to an appointment nothing changes there hasnt been wires clipped in almost a year and now, I am being told that I will have to get a gingivectomy when that wasnt the case in the beginning. Im starting to believe that they have no idea what theyre doing and I cant afford to get them taken off to switch to a different orthodontist. I live two hours away and travel there for no results. if it was possible to give zero stars, I would do not go to this place.Familia Dental LLC
