    If I could rate my experience with Coffey Movers, more specifically, *** Coffey ZERO stars I would .I booked movers for 12pm. At first my estimate stated that they would be there between 11am-12pm. The day before, it was updated to 12pm-2pm. The day of the move rolls around and I contacted the company as well as dispatch multiple times and received little to no accurate information until 2pm when I was told my movers wouldnt arrive until 4pm. I had instructed that prior to booking that I could only access the elevator in my building from ****pm. I missed my move out slot due to them showing late from another move and had to pay additional fees to move out after hours. On top of that, the movers brought an extra large truck for a studio move that wouldnt fit in the loading dock which delayed loading even further, thus adding more fees to my time slot with the crew. By the time we started loading the truck from the origin destination, it was 6 pm. I understand delays happen, and my poor experience comes less from the movers than from *** Coffey when trying to troubleshoot this frustrating issue. I have never encountered a more unprofessional and misogynistic individual- and from a company owner no less. When I explained to *** that I would have to pay my building a $100/hr after hours move out fee and expressed my frustrations having to wait 6 HOURS after my scheduled move, he threatened to cancel my move all together for being sour and actually said Id rather jump off a bridge than talk to you. I am amazed how he functions day to day let alone runs a company. He is clearly okay with running his moving staff ragged for 12 hours doing back to back to back moves, instead of sending another crew when they knew the original one wasnt going to make it on time. ** hire the movers again through freelance but will never go through this company again and dont suggest anyone should either.

Our terms of service which are attached to all estimates and invoices, defines the following two topics ************** identified as concerns:Booking of moves: 6. SCHEDULED TIME ON MOVE DAY Morning Appointments: 1-hour arrival window Morning appointments are scheduled with a fixed start time and a 1-hour arrival window in case the movers arrive early, or if they are running behind due to an unforeseen delay. Please be patient and understanding if the movers are running late due to heavy traffic, inclement weather, equipment related issues, or if we experience an employee related issue. We do our best to dispatch the crews accordingly so that they arrive on time. You will receive a call from us if we experience any delays. ******************* Appointments: 2-hour arrival window Afternoon and Evening appointments are scheduled with a 2-hour arrival window, and the scheduled appointment time depends on the estimated completion time of the previous appointment. We apologize in advance but we do not offer fixed start times in the afternoon or evening because we cannot predict all of the factors to arrive at a fixed start time. We do our best to schedule appointment times accordingly, please be patient if we are running behind due to any unforeseen delays. You will receive a call from us if we experience any delays. You may also call us at any time to check on the crew's status. We do not guarantee an exact arrival time and will not be held liable for any moving fees (elevator rental, security supervision, etc.) if we are late for any reason. Regarding her elevator fee:7. ********************************** FEES Please be advised that it is your responsibility to schedule elevators for your move accordingly. We will not be held responsible for any issues or fees related to elevators for any reason, even if we experience a delay. We do not guarantee an exact arrival time or that your move will not go over the estimated time, therefore, we will not be held responsible for any moving fees that you incur by your management company or landlord for any reason.     I used Coffey Brothers moving company April 21, 2023.They arrived late, damaged my heirloom furniture, and damaged the drywall to my new home.Coffey Brothers have yet to respond to my email and phone requests for damage to my home and furniture.

    My recent experience with this moving company was extremely disappointing. Not only did they crack my $180 computer case I've loved since I got it in May of 2014 during the move, but they were also unable to disassemble my bed due to their lack of standard tools. This resulted in them stripping one of the hex screws on my bed, which will require a lot of effort to remove.To add to the frustration, they lost one of the bed legs during the move, leaving me unable to find a replacement and forcing me to replace the entire bed at an unexpected cost.*** never left a negative review of a company and frankly it makes me uncomfortable to do so. Ive spent days searching every inch the my apartment in the hopes Id find it and not have to post this review.But the disappointment didn't stop there. Just two days later, my brother used the same company and also had a negative experience. As someone who was there with him, I can confirm that the movers appeared to be under the influence of marijuana, which made the entire experience uncomfortable and unprofessional. They also smelled strongly of marijuana, which only added to our discomfort.Given the problems we experienced in both moves over the span of just three days, I highly recommend avoiding this moving company if you can. However, if you do decide to use them, make sure to purchase the maximum amount of insurance possible to protect yourself from any damages that *** occur during the move.

    Just a a a thug. Extorts money. Do not trust this company. Hope there is a class action law suit against this guy. Do not believe what they quote. Really bad experience. Quoted $ 980, ended up demanding **** with all the extra fees and just on a simple request for question and a reasonable explanation of charges, they decided to run away with all our belongings, even when we agreed to pay their ******. Had to call cops. Cops were requesting to unload as they saw we were ready to pay them whatever they demanded. Ended up running away with belongings and came back next day after many requests after getting cash over $ **** from us before delivery. Lots of damage to property. A nightmare. Please stay away from this people ! We are going to follow up with all legal remedies and make them realise that there is a price to pay for treating your customer like this .
