Forget claims, you'll never get a response or refund for unused time. That's stealing. So, this makes them thieves. Keep that in mind, you are dealing with thieves.

Don't use this moving company. Take your chances elsewhere. If you need to make a claim, they will NEVER get back to you. They ask you to file a complaint via email and then they completely ignore every phone messages you leave and every email you send. I truly doubt they have much of a claims department. We had a mover who put a wedge on the top of the door which damaged the door making it impossible to close. I had to find an emergency door repairer. Coffey Bros. Moving just didn't care that I had to pay for their mistake!

My significant other used this business today to help her move. The movers were rude. Complained about the amount of tip they received in the end. They also never communicated that packing her TV and computer monitors would cost extra. That was never brought up when she called for a quote. The quote was just hourly. Now we have to go back and pick all of that up ourselves. One of the movers, who I believe was *****, told my significant other that he deserved a higher tip for all the extra work they did. It's literally their job to move people's things. That's why we hire movers, so we don't have to do it. She packed a lot of the apartment. And she told the guy on the phone initially that she wasn't planning to do much. After receiving the tip, ***** shouted to the other guys in front of her "hey we got X dollars". ***** sounds like he needs to quit and find something he enjoys. Preferably an office job where he doesn't have to deal with people since socialization skills are well below average. I'm getting little man vibes. I used ********** last week. Way more professional. The guys were super nice and cheaper than this trash company. AND THEY PACKED MY TV NO EXTRA CHARGE. Highly recommend H2H. They won't make you feel uncomfortable. Coffey Brothers is not the way to go. Don't recommend.

Movers worked very hard and were given a very generous tip. On their way out I noticed a big hole in the wall on the stairway where they were carrying the furniture. They weren't even going to say anything about it! They admitted they did it, took a picture and said they would right a report for repairs. This was never done. I called many times, sent 2 emails with pictures and was told they would take care of it. This was 7 weeks ago. *****, who I spoke with on many occasions said he will put a rush on it. I never heard back from anyone. I was not upset about the hole as it was an accident. But the fact they weren't going to say anything, and now won't fix it....terrible way to do business! Would NOT recommend this company.

The lack of communication from Coffey **** is astounding when they owe you money. I have been seeking to get back an hours worth of money from my move. On the day of my move the Coffey **** moving crew hit a pedestrians car with their moving truck. I was charged for the hour long period it took them to settle up with the pedestrian. They repeatedly told me not to tell anyone or tell the owner of the car before he spoke with them. This is a shady company who will make you pay extra dollars on top of everything and disappear when you need something from them. I have been left not responded too on my past 6 emails. The claims department does not exist. Every time you are transferred there you get sent to voicemail saying someone will call you. No one ever calls you. Do not do business with this company.

Actual nightmare movers. I regret calling Coffey Bros.I gave them a DETAILED list of our furniture, right down to the amount of mops, the size of couches and amount of beds we have. They told me their largest truck will do the job. I wish I knew the job included leaving 25% of our furniture at the old house because the truck doesnt fit all your furniture. They argued for a good 20 minutes that we needed a semi instead They knew exactly how much furniture we had and accepted the job knowing **** well they cant complete it. I guess times are tough and they want money no matter how they get it. ??I do not think they know the definition of estimate. Honestly and truthfully. On God. They gave me an estimate of the move from start to finish of THE *** (NEVER mentioned it would take 2 days), surprised me bright and early with hidden fees, packed up our furniture and then locked up their truck, doubled the estimate and demanded payment immediately. HUH?????To be clear, our estimate was $1600-$1800. How was the total $2700 (not including the lovely deposit that **************** was absolutely eager to receive). Then told us the 2nd day would require ANOTHER estimate of $1600. The cherry on top was the mover told us the 2nd day estimate with a smug look on his face. Who in the right mind is going to spend $4300 for a move? Does money grow trees? Do pigs fly? I guess we will never know ??Lets not forget to mention the damage upon many pieces of the furniture as well as to the new house (newly built). My favorite part was losing screws to one of the beds that they disassembled and left at our old house. We filed a claim but no response yet.If you want to spend $2800 (deposit included) to have an absolute awful experience and a good amount of your furniture to be left behind, Coffey **** are here for you! ??

Chose Coffey brothers based on the reviews. First they loaded the container very loosely, so I ended up being charged for a full container when in reality I needed less than half a container. Second, because items were loose, many of the items were broken including the ***

NEVER USE THIS MOVING COMPANY. I am a senior citizen that moved a one bedroom from ********* to South loop, ******* end of May. They quoted me $1,100. How stupid am I - Other movers quoted me less. But I thought they must be good b/c they cost more. God was I wrong. They ended up charging me over $1,600. Also, the broke my bed frame and I was missing pictures. They did leave me someone else's 60 in TV. When I called and the dispatcher came to get it. He told me out of his own mouth they had overcharged me and broke my bed. He told me to complete the claim paperwork and he would make sure I get reimbursed. I did early May. Nothing - nothing. The dispatcher does not realize that I was taping him when he was in my apartment. So I am going to file a claim in small claims court and out them. They do not deserve a star. They should be downgraded and not allowed to take advantage of people.

We chose Coffey **** based on the reviews. Unfortunately we did not get to share the same experience. We hired 4 movers for 4 hours for a load only job. The movers showed up 3 hours late. My boyfriend and his dad moved 1/3 of the boxes out to the truck themselves. After 3 hours one man showed up and shortly after we had another mover come. We only had 2 men for the first hour and a half before the next two movers arrived. They were nice guys, but this was extremely frustrating- as it got close to the 4 hour *************** had other people coming to help - at one point there must have been 7-8 movers in my home and it was complete chaos. At one point they stopped working because they didnt know if they were getting paid - this was because they were quoting me 500$ over price after all of the issues. The last of our stuff was just thrown in the truck with no proper care. I had 870$ stolen from me, and my boyfriend had damaged items. I am very very unhappy with this. Again movers seemed friendly, we tipped them after they asked and everything, but once we unpacked our items and saw the damage and stolen money I was furious. Late, unprofessional and untrustworthy. Non the less after disputing the claim no one had reached out- nor even tried to reconcile any concerns and issues we encountered. Nor did they reimburse us for our time helping them. Not to mention my very personal item (vibrator) was moved from one area that I had boxed to another - this is so creepy and so uncomfortable. I feel so violated on so many levels. I would never recommend this moving company. They should reimburse us for all our losses, minus us being the movers the first 3 hours. Disgusted.

Coffey **** was hired for a move on 6/30/23. They did not show up or respond to calls. After other arrangements had been made, Coffey **** contacted us on the morning of 7/1. Of the 4 movers they provided on 7/1, only 1 showed any professional ability, knowledge or conduct whatsoever. A day of difficult behavior from Coffey **** culminated in nearly all of our property being left outside in heavy rain, much of it already damaged by their movers.A discounted rate of $50/hr per worker was agreed upon for the labor, but the final payment of $1000 was not itemized, as we had no signed contract with the company for 7/1. It was paid under severe duress, as Coffey **** demanded immediate payment while all of our stuff was outside during the storm. They ordered work to be stopped without payment, leaving everything outside and exposed to heavy rain. We called to make payment but they did not respond for over 20 minutes, leading to further damage.Coffey **** flatly refused any responsibility for damages. Wed hired other movers on the night of 6/30 after Coffey **** didnt show up. Since we refused to cancel them and had them assist on 7/1, Coffey **** refused all liability, even though we witnessed Coffey **** movers do significant damage to furniture. The labor was unprofessional to an extreme degree. One of the movers left in the middle of the move without saying a word. The one competent mover they sent was quickly exhausted as the others seemed to be just running out the clock and displayed no special knowledge, technique or skill that would be expected of a professional mover. Their recklessness resulted in serious damage to most of our furniture. This left most of the labor to be done by us and other movers wed hired on the night of 6/30.Coffey **** movers showed no professional ability or conduct, from the labor to the office workers, resulting in incalculable damage to countless personal items, as well as lost work hours due to the move running long.

Move was booked (Job# *****-1) under ************************* for a labor-only service. Reviewing the notes, I found. the 6/30 job was canceled due to the no-shows of our movers. We offered to send movers and a truck on 7/1, but the customer refused. In the interim, they had hired a mover from the app TaskRabbit. On that morning the customer contacted our company to request emergency help as the hired movers were not meeting her standards. As our company was hired as labor only, we are not liable for any damage due to being hired as assistance only. I believe that **************** (and Mr. ****** had hired a truck and mover from Taskrabbit to handle her move, with our movers to assist. In mid-move, she had her . Our company provided two movers to assist in increasing the productivity of the move. However the movers by ********** left halfway through the move, unpacking their rented moving truck as they returned it. She contacted again, and three more movers were sent to assist the pack and removal to cover as it was raining. The end resulted in Customer being charged 50% of anticipated costs. As we were hired as labor only, any damage complaints should be directed to the hired truck and movers hired from *****************************
