  This is a scam. After attending a 2 hour seminar in order to get our free ****** tickets, we found out that we had to pay money to get the tickets. After sitting through over 2 hours of high pressure, Wolf of Wall Street-like tactics, they lead my wife and I to believe that we were filling out an application to see if we qualify for their program, only to find out that they were running a credit card application. Now we have hard inquiries on our credit files that we didn't want.

  I'm not sure if the people who leave bad reviews know how expensive it is to travel the world and have access to some of these incredible properties. I spent 9 days in West Maui in a 2 br suite with full kitchen for rates way lower than the market price. Most of these properties provide kitchens and laundry as well. I booked my first cruise through RCI as well and can't wait. Just like any type of subscription, know what you're signing up for and have a plan to maximize your ROI.

  It's a totak scam and it's a shame that you need to pay a company or a lawyer thousands of dollars just to get out of it. I hope they go out of business.

  What a scam. I met with the RCI rep at our timeshare at *********** Resort last week to learn about RCI and the places we could go, by trading our timeshare week. Then I talked to an RCI phone agent . Heres what I learned:1. My timeshare has a trading value/number, assigned by RCI, based on my timeshare location, time of year, size, etc.2. You cant go into the RCI website to get your trading value number or even explore your trading value to see where you can go until you pay over $99 to join RCI. So, you have to join blindly to even see if joining will be beneficial to you or not. So, I joined since our timeshare company had a special going on to join RCI.2. Once you join RCI, you still cant explore the value of your trade to see where you can go until you deposit your timeshare week. Once you deposit your week, you lose your time at your resort and cant get it back. So, once again RCI expects you to act blindly by depositing and losing your week at your timeshare, just to be able to see if you can trade for somewhere you may want to go.3. By talking to the RCI rep I learned that my timeshare trading value was so low at *********** that I would have to trade my timeshare for multiple years just to be able to go to one decent resort in places we may want to visit.So, now RCI has my membership money and now demands that I give up/trade in my timeshare week just to likely learn that theres no desirable place that I can trade for, given the poor trading value of my unit at ***********. What a scam!If RCI was legitimate, they would allow someone to see their trading value and potential trades BEFORE taking someones membership money, or at least allow a paid member to PREVIEW their potential trades at other resorts without having to deposit and completely lose their own timeshare week!The icing on the cakewhen I asked for a full and total refund, the RCI rep said that membership fee refunds are prorated and that no refund at all is possible!

  "MY Time Worldwide" informed me they were an agent of RCI and had been engaged to help me in converting to the new RCI points system. I was asked to attend a presentation on July 27, 2023 and was promised a restaurant gift card for attending. I was told I would receive the card at the presentation - then told it would be emailed to me. I've called numerous times to no avail. Be wary of promises...The presentation was a waste of MY TIME (no pun intended to the name of the agent!)

  RCI is a scam. Maybe it used to be good? Now they take your deposited week, which you pay for in order to receive "currency" which you are told can get you something equivalent. You will not. This will not happen. This is a fabricated story, maybe an intentional lie. You will spend your time in utter frustration looking at a bunch of properties in places you would not care to spend a weeks time at, most all of which look like they were build and furnished in ****. I deposited a really beautiful "Red Week" in ******** during a good time of year for skiing, in an awesome location that is highly desirable. 2br / 2ba unit that doesn't feel like a throwback in time when you see **************** of frustration when you find nothing of interest on RCI's antiquated website, you will call them and they will nicely ask you "tell me where you want to go and when"? This is a nice thing to say but it is really a deflection to what people are looking for and needing to actually make a decision. What you NEED is a robust search engine with ample latitude to see what your AVAILABLE OPTIONS are. They do not have this. If they say they do, it is (again) so antiquated and impossible to actually use, that it is unhelpful at best. They got sued maybe 10 years ago for taking deposited weeks and simply renting them out to folks outside the RCI member network. For all I know they're still doing that -- it certainly feels like they are because there is NOTHING on their platform that is anything close to as nice as what I deposited with them. Then they've got this gig where you can rent other stuff, such as All-Inclusives and *******. I swear they double the price on anything I can otherwise find through ****** or something, and give me NO CREDIT for what I've deposited. It is a scam. I'm the sucker because I paid them money for all this. In the end, I think they will go bankrupt

  I am scammed out of the $1500 deposit. Wy are these people allowed to steal in this manner. I bought the package because I was told that you could pay $150 and come anytime. That is only 1 time a year. Im cutting my losses.

  The WORSE EVER!!!! Everything they told us was a lie!!! Im trying to get out of my contract and of course they are giving me a hard time. I havent even made my first monthly payment thankfully found out the lies and how it works! They will not get a dime out of me and I guess I lost my deposit but Im ok with that since I wont be making any monthly payments. I dont know how this company is still in business scamming people. PLEASE RUN FROM THIS COMPANY AND DONT BUY HERE!! YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!

  Absolute scam of a company. 1) Fee to just be a member. 2) Fee to book your timeshare exchange. 3) Fee to combine points to afford to book a timeshare. 4) Cant even look at current inventory as a paying member unless you deposit more points / weeks. They never have the locations you want for exchange but they have them for sale. And at the end of the day, it potentially costs you an additional $650 on top of any maintenance fees you pay for your timeshare to be able to exchange. We have done the math and it is cheaper to get a hotel or airbnb / vrbo rental in a location you actually want for the week than have a timeshare and use RCI. If you already have a timeshare, I recommend researching other exchange services or simply banking with your timeshare company than pay the ridiculous fees RCI charges its members and holds them hostage to bank more weeks just to see what weeks may be available.
