Metronet recently did their dirty work installing internet cable at Colonial Village/Holly Park in *******, Mi. Engineer Mr. Stephen ****** (****, Mi office) knowingly lied to us about being notified in advance regarding the work.. He finally admitted to a neighbor about the non notification. Saying he did not care. Reading other reviews, this seem quite common. Bad attitude. Bad service. Bad Company.
      Thank you, Scott K ******

Metronet was recently installed my township (********** ******************, OH area). A Metronet sales person approached me in my neighborhood and asked if I had signed up with them yet. I said no but we had considered it. Features and cost were explained to me but she said she didn’t think it was available on my side of the neighborhood yet. I said I needed to do more research on our usage but might consider switching in the future. She asked if she could take my email and phone number to send me more info on their plans and to let me know when availability would begin on our street. I agreed and gave my email and phone. A few days later I receive a text message that my installation was scheduled for 10/14/23. Very confused I called Metronet to find out what was going on, sat on hold for over 20 minutes waiting to connect to an associate. After being connected I was told that we had been enrolled for service. I advised that I had NOT given consent to enroll in any service and I was very unhappy with the situation. They canceled our installation. The next day, the sales person called me and asked why we cancelled our service. I reminded her of our exact conversation and her promise to send me more information. Her response was “Well I set up the installation for a few weeks out so you would have time to do more research”. I reiterated that I did not at any time give her permission to sign us up for service. I absolutely will not be switching to this company if this is the type of unethical business practices that are tolerated. I can only imagine the level of service once they get you signed up.

A small business owner here. A person came in to persuade us to switch our business account. Signed a contract with a 30-day cancellation window. Technicians installed equipment at our business on 8/14/2023. A week later, after figuring out the new internet was not working, we called in and canceled on 8/28. We were directed to "return the equipment" which we did on 9/9. Got email confirmations on the call and the equipment return and everything. Got an email confirmation with all the details from the person we spoke to. We went back to work thinking everything was taken care of. Until we receive another bill. Called back to find out the account has never closed and they are attempting to collect termination fees of $3,126.96. This is ridiculous. Customer service was trying to just send us to payment and not trying to assess the situation and offer any understanding. We also found that someone you have never spoken to sneak in another email a few minutes after the last agent's email asking us to send an email with the message, "Please cancel the services on this account," for the account to close. We honestly did not see that email as it went into the same thread. This is ridiculous. After all the effort of calling in and returning the equipment within 30 days, they will still find a way to take your money. This is not an honest company. Business owners beware.

No stars for no comprehension and no effort.
They hold onto the check in the mail for way too long so the payment makes it on the last day possible or past due.
They have no kind of accurate system for investigating such matters and always say that they cannot find any of it..

I was a customer of Jaguar Communications prior to Metronet buying them out. I contacted Metronet in December of 2022 to cancel our TV services because it wouldn't work. Come to find out, the equipment we had was obsolete so we couldn't utilize the services anyways. We received the return instructions email and went directly to the UPS store. In the past month, Metronet increased our bill by $20 a month which led me to investigate further. Come to find out, we've been getting charged $40 a month for the obsolete equipment we returned in December of 2022. Metronet is saying I never returned the Jaguar tv equipment and refuse to refund my $400 without a tracking number. Why is the burden of proof on me for their faulty shipping procedure? Don't trust Metronet - they are completely unethical.

I tried the free 30 day trial and then attempted to cancel my account. I have received billing statements for 2 months. The first one I assumed was a delay in closing my account,, when I received the second statement I tried to call. I chose the call back option that assured me I would receive a call back and not loose my place in line. I received no call back. So I called again and remained on the line.
I spoke to a very nice young lady. But she tells me because I didn’t return their router they didn’t close my account. I was told they sent an email 8n June telling me I needed to return the router. I did NOT get this email. Now they have charged me for 2 months (it has been a single month) I asked to speak to a super and was told supervisors don’t talk to customers to help to resolve issues.
There “free” month will cost me over $100. I feel their policies are deceiving, fraudulent, and that they have stolen from me. Because I can not talk to a supervisor I have no way to contest the charges. Bottom line I would NEVER suggest Metronet to another person. They display an appalling lack of customer service.

There have been regular outages over the 3 years we have been with Metronet. Outages typically take several days to resolve even though it's business service. They do not seem to even one tech on the ground in the second largest city in the state. A tech always has to drive for an hour or more to get here. When problems are intermittent they claim that wires in their equipment are "loose" or "sensitive" even though their on-site equipment never gets touched, moved, or bumped, and in the end after several days they ultimately find something else was the issue. They are supposed to send outage alerts via email and text but they never do, even after we've called and verified there is an area outage. They've never done anything to reimburse us for the multi-day downtime and business disruption they cause.

I have never dealt with such an incompetent company as Metronet.. As stated before if I could put zero stars I would. I returned my equipment to metronet on June 14th,23. I received an email telling me how to return my equipment even though I received and email that stated they received my equipment. I called and they told me it would be 2-4 weeks before i received my refund. That was on June 17th. I called again and was told I would receive an invoice telling me what my check would be. I received the invoice which showed I owed 4$. I called back and they kept using the word cycling over and over. I stopped the automatic payment 5 days before the due date. They took the funds out anyway. I was told they have a different type of billing plan there not like most others. I called again today, July 20th. They told me it would be 2-4 weeks before I received my refund. I pressed for details because now I am enraged. The attendant told me that they only process checks on Wednesday and my account won't be done cycling until tomorrow so they wouldn't process a check until next Thursday.
This is the worst possible place to do business.

If I could give zero stars I would. Metronet was here in the summer and fall of 2022. As of June 2023 there are dangling wires all over the neighborhood. Some are cut and hanging in peoples landscaping and still connected to utility poles. Complained about their line that is 4 feet above our shrubs in our backyard over a month ago and they have done nothing. It is laying across the limbs of our oak trees as well. Another line in front of our home is hanging low across the street where cars and delivery vehicles drive, and a large metal piece is hanging over our yard. Neighbor has their line running through their yard and they just wrapped it around their fence. As I said, they were in our neighborhood in the summer and fall of 2022 and this is now June 2023. I do not have any of their services, but based on the shoddy work they do, I would never order service from them. I can't even get them to get their line out of our yard. I wonder how the owners of this company would feel if I emptied my trash can in their yard.
