In March 2025, I helped my daughter purchase a Best Home Furnishings rocker recliner. Less than a month after delivery, a spring to the rocking mechanism broke. The store we purchased from sent a repair person to our home free of charge. They have since gone out of business. Less than a month later, a part to the reclining mechanism broke. Padding to the seat is also bunching to one side. I have called Best on two occasions. They have taken down none of my information. Instead they have given me names of local stores who carry Best (some of whom are no longer in business) and told me to contact them. Most of the local stores do not provide in home repair. This is necessary, since the chair is upstairs. We have no way of bringing it down. I finally found a store who does in home repairs. I talked with Best. They advised that the store should ask their sales rep to negotiate with them, and they would work something out. The sales rep basically got nowhere. Best said they will cover the price of the part, but we would have to cover the labor. which could run anywhere from $35-100. Either that or we could install the part ourselves! This is ridiculous! We just purchased this chair for $800. It is clearly still under warranty. We have owned it less than 4 months, with it only being useable for about 11/2 months. Based on history, we anticipate future problems with it. We should not have to absorb any repair costs while it is still under warranty, nor should we be having these problems with a new chair. The quality of their workmanship has definitely declined over the years. Do better, Best!!!Best Home Furnishings

Hi Christine,
We’re very sorry to hear about
the issues you've experienced and understand how frustrating this has been —
especially with multiple concerns on a new chair and your original retailer no
longer available to assist.
While our warranty covers parts
only and not labor or in-home service, we do want to help. We’re happy to
provide a replacement reclining mechanism at no charge. This is typically an
easy repair that many customers or local technicians are able to complete with
basic tools. We can also provide Y**T*** videos that help with this process.
To move forward, please send
photos or a brief video of the issue to *******@besthf.com so we can review and confirm the necessary part or parts. Once confirmed, we can ship the part(s) directly to you or a service provider of your choice. If you choose not to
complete the repair yourself, you would need to arrange installation through a
local dealer or third-party technician, as we do not provide in-home service or
cover labor costs.
We appreciate your feedback and
the opportunity to help resolve this within the scope of our warranty.Review fromBARBARA G

2 starsI bought two Best couches at ********* ******. When they arrived, the vertical patterns on the back cushions did not line up correctly. After a month or two of dealing with ********* Center's customer service people, the couches were sent back to Indiana and replaced, but the new couches have the same issue. In addition, the seat cushions and particularly the pillows are not stuffed full enough and the cushions, after two months of use, are already saggy, and if more that one person is sitting on the couch they don't lie flat. (One heavy person causes the same problem.) There is also a flaw in the upholstery fabric, which was the top grade of fabric (actually the flaw was evident in the sample book too, but I missed it.) In addition, the fabric has a nap and the upholstery on the side of the couches is inconsistent with other parts. I am super disappointed with this purchase. It is very poorly manufactured.Review fromKenneth C

1 starI purchased a sectional and have had issues with the wedge section material from the beginning. The fabric looks loose, you can see my butt print still there 12 hours after I got up. I am not a big person, either. I sent pictures to them and they say this is the way it is suppose to look, that it's the fabric choice and there is nothing they can do about it. They sent me a new piece of fabric covering after the first 2 weeks but that was not the issue. Very disappointed in my purchase. I would not recommend this company. Spend your money where you will get a quality product. Wish I could attach a photo so you could see what I am talking about.Review fromAnita D

My husband and shopped at ******** furniture store for new great room furniture. We chose a couch, loveseat and two recliners. It is by far, the worse choice of furniture that we have ever made. We have had the furniture for two months. The recliner chair cushions are all already bunched up and extremely uncomfortable. The one recliner chair has to be serviced, because the automatic footrest will no longer go down automatically. That is absolutely ridiculous. I can’t tell you how disappointed I am, and even more disappointed in ******** that they would sell furniture of such poor quality.Best Home Furnishings

We purchased 4 pieces from Best Home Furnishings and I'm surprised by the poor quality and attention to detail.
The velvet chair and ottoman creak terribly and you can feel where the staples are under the fabric. This was so bad on the chair arm that we exchanged it for another because after a week the fabric was wearing thin.
The couch and ottoman also creak terribly anytime you move or sit down. It could be the frame or it could be the springs, either way it's loud and annoying and just reinforces a lack of quality and attention to detail. The fabric on the couch and ottoman also started pilling within the first month of owning it. The foam on the seat cushions compressed and deformed quickly as well. We ended up ordering new foam from another company with a higher density.
We're 2 adults in the house with no kids. The furniture gets used lightly as it's in areas that we don't sit in for the majority of the day (i.e. not a tv or lounging area). I'm the largest person in the house and only 5'11" and 200lbs.
We really liked the pieces in the showroom but I'm disappointed that after approximately 1 year of ownership I already have to consider replacement or reupholstery. It presents well in the showroom but just doesn't hold up to regular use.Best Home Furnishings

Hi Robert,
Thank you for contacting Best Home Furnishings. We are sorry to hear that you have been having issues with your couch, two chairs and ottoman. Can you please reach out to us via email at *******@besthf.com with more information regarding your the issues you are having with the furniture? Can you please provide the ID number for each piece along with any videos and/or pictures showing the issues you are having? The ID number is under the chair, but not on the foot
rest. It is stapled to the wooden frame. You will have to flip the chair over.
The ID number is located on a piece of cardstock paper the same shape as a
dollar bill, but a little bit bigger. Do not remove the whole tag. There is a
perforated portion on the right side which can be removed. This will have the
ID number located on it. The ID number is 13 digits long and should look
something like this 1234567-123.123.Review fromJohn L

We purchased two pieces of furniture from BHF that we received in Feb 2024 - both have significant defects:
1. The glider chair we purchased was delivered with its base assembled backwards! It was pretty obvious just looking at it - it was tilted funny and could hardly sit in it. I figured out how to take the base off myself and reinstall correctly. When I contacted BHF, they said it wasn't their fault; must have been the delivery folks (really?). No apology.
2. The reclining loveseat has uneven cushioning material in one of the two seats. It is bad enough so that the problem can be seen visually, and sitting on it is quite uncomfortable. I tried to fix it myself using the cushion zipper access, but the zipper just jams. I had sent BHF notice about this several weeks ago - no response. Also, one of the recliner control switches is intermittent; sometimes need to bang on it to make it work.
We will never buy from this company again. Poor products, and even worse customer support.Best Home Furnishings

1 starWe bought two recliners through a dealer in Pennsylvania. One of chairs had the recliner motor quite the second time I used it and had to have the chair replaced. The second recliner had a definite tilt to the left. It was returned to the dealer 6 weeks later for repairs. The dealer made it seem as though this was a great imposition on him. He supposedly had the chair repaired but there was no noticeable change when it was returned. We reported it to the dealer again which resulted in him telling us to never call or come into his store again. I made several contacts with the manufacturer, who said I had to work it out with the dealer. How was I to do that when he forbids me from contacting him again? The manufacturer then spoke to an area representative which resulted in a suggestion that I contact another dealership to have them resolve the issue. How can I expect another dealer I have never dealt with to resolve this issue for me. Looks like I just wasted over $1000 on a very poor-quality piece of furniture. I thought I would be wise to buy American made. Maybe not. H KingReview fromJon A

1 starTheir big man chairs are really poor quality. I paid 1264.00 for a chair and haven't. Since like July or August of last year and the seat of the chair sits lopsided and had replaced the seat already once I barely sit in it maybe an hr of the day and already having issues.
