This is a complaint for my car and my son's car. We both went through the Crew Carwash in ************** on June 5th, 2022. Both cars had extensive spots on the the hood and front end of the car where paint was chipped off. We notified the manager immediately and filled out an incident report. I had a ceramic coating on my car so I had less paint removed, but there were many blemishes in the coating which needs replaces as well. The estimate on my son's car was just under $700. The estimate on my car was close to $2,700 plus another $1600 to replace the ceramic coating. We both received a stock email saying that their carwash could not have caused that type of damage. It did. There was no damage before we entered the carwash and had identical damage when we came out. Something was going on with their machinery because I had to pull a strip of cloth wedged under the front of the hood of my sons car. I responded to their email saying it was unacceptable and have heard nothing more from them. I spent a year looking for my car and bought it because it had been well taken care of and the paint was in excellent condition. I went to the extra expense to get a ceramic coating to keep it that way and both the paint and ceramic were damaged. Crew Carwash is at fault and I would like me cars repaired. Incident ID ****** and ID ******.

Following their visit on 6/5, ************ filed a report for paint damage to his vehicle and his son's vehicles.  Based on our internal investigation, we determined the paint damage on both of these vehicles is in no way consistent with the wash and the claims were denied.  On this day our Greenfield location washed over 1,ooo vehicles with ************ being the only customer to file claims for damage.  The damage ************ reported on his 2011 *** appears to be small rock chips on the front bumper and hood.  The damage reported on the *** appears to be random scratching on the hood.  The only similarity for the damage reported is that it's on the hood (pictures attached).  Otherwise, there is no consistency between the two as indicated by *************  While we are sorry his vehicles have this damage, we cannot accept liability for damage we didn't cause.

      Thank you,

      Crew Carwash

      Better Business Bureau:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined the response would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

I see from the pictures they supplied two cars that have extensive paint damage. I have attached additional photos from the *** damage. In the 4 pics you can see scratch lines and multiple shapes of damage-in reference to the company saying the damage was not consistent between the two cars.  You can not see from the manager's poor camera images the extent of damages to the ***. Because other than the obvious white paint chips markings, impacts to the ceramic coating are grey in color and don't show in their photos.  You can see them easily in the photos I submitted.  I also notice from other complaints the company rather fervently supplies photos of vehicles before they enter the wash to show prior damage.  Those photos were glaringly absent from their response.  I think the response that their wash doesn't make those types of marks is absolutely ridiculous. The photos I supplied showed that two cars went through at the consecutively and were damage consistently. In fact, after taking the additional photos, I have damages to the paint on the roof ,door, and side panel that were not in the original estimate which focused on the hood and front end.  I want my cars repaired and I do not accept their response.

      Better Business Bureau:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, this is an appropriate and acceptable next step. I am open to meeting with the company so the vehicle damages can be assessed. This does not conclude the matter, nor does it resolve the original complaint.
