Ruoff was a big mistake for me. I had refinanced my home through them a couple months ago. Then I was receiving notices that I have a lapse in hazard insurance, which is NOT true. I had sent them proof of my insurance then a month later, I receive a "final" notice that they will sign me up through their insurance for a substantial amount of money. I spoke with an ins agent, then did a 3 way call with my own insurance, they sent them the ins proof.... I received a letter today, almost a month later saying they have signed me up for their ins because of my lapse in coverage.. I called Ruoff today they took an additional 1400$$ out of my bank account for this "lapse" in coverage... the lady I spoke with had found my ins document was correct, there was NO lapse in coverage. They had received this document 11/30/2024 AND they proceeded to take the additional 1400$ from my bank account... they have the audacity to say "let me send in a request to have this canceled and you will be refunded **** business days" ... I have a family... Its just before christmas... Now because of you.... I am over drafted and I will be late on other payments that I need to make....Ruoff Mortgage

This was alarming to hear and we apologize for the frustration this has caused you as well as the time you have invested to resolve this. As you know from our direct conversation, we were able to immediately confirm that no money was taken from your account but we did find that there is an issue with our HOI vendor providing you misinformation that we will work with to clear up.
