We bought our 2021 less than 10 months ago. We were told that with in the year Warranty to make a list of things that seemed wrong with it. After camping with it my husband got on top of the roof to sweep off the slides before putting them in, he noticed the screws were coming up from the roof and about to go through our rubber membrane. We immediately called to get a appointment for Warranty work. We had a few small things inside but was mostly concerned about the roof. The closest appointment was after 4th of July. We tried to camp one more time before it went in for work to our ACs not working. Turned out we didn't have power to half of the trailer. We had to go home and put it in the shop for our appointment. The manufacturer put a nail through our AC wire and needed a whole new re-wire... it was covered by Warranty, however when it came to the roof they denied us. The reason for denial was because the screws have not poked through the rubber yet! Who cares that all the screws are coming up from our roof and compromising the integrity of the wood that is our rook to a ******* dollar RV unit! They are also saying that there is a gouge in the roof by the ladder that is not a manufacturer issue... the gouge was NOT there prior to having techs climb up and down. I don't understand how we can be denied when our wood roof is coming up. We are told we have to wait until the screws are poking through the rubber roof. Pretty much wait until the Warranty is not covered anymore. I am very frustrated with the company right now, to buy a top dollar 5th wheel and have the roof falling apart is very unacceptable. I am trying with this avenue first before looking into the ** Lemon law. I just want the new 5th wheel we bought to be new and able to use for years to come. Someone please help with this nightmare.

We purchased our Alpine **** the beginning of January 2021. We went to ***** immediately after the purchase and we were there for the snow/ice storm. I realized then that the fireplace didnt work as expected. You had to stand in front of it to feel the heat. The dealership didnt respond when we reached out to them. When we reached out to Keystone, we were told because we were in ***** we had to have it fixed, pay out of pocket and they would reimburse us. We tried for weeks to find someone but everyone was booked solid due to the damage from the unexpected storm. Then we jumped to ***** degree weather and I admit I forgot about. Fall came and I remembered we still didnt have our fireplace fixed so I reached out to a gentleman who had done work for a friend by this time. He looked at the fireplace, and ordered me a replacement, and when it finally came in he installed it in December. I have since been trying to get reimbursed from Keystone since January of 2022. I finally had someone respond to me in June 2022. First it was, send me a receipt. I did and then it was, well you have to fill out a **9. Then they needed the **** Then its well checks are only paid once a month. We had asked the check to be mailed to where we were and now she is saying, I never said that and that checks only go to where the **9 states. Well we travel for my husbands job, so mail is sent to my mother in laws right now. We still havent received the money owed us. I believe I have ever email between us. Even if she mailed the check to the *********** Box, it would have been forwarded to my mother in laws house. According to the representative we have dealt with, it was paid July 29, 2022.

      Customer Answer

I had a problem that every email was asking for something else, versus asking for everything at one time.  Then not sending the check to the location I requested, making it sound like its my fault! I have jumped through their hoops, I just want reimbursed. There are times I have had to send multiple emails to have my contact person respond to me.  I wait days in between, because I do understand I am not her only responsibility.  We are soon going to be going to be going on a year I have been dealing with Keystone.

Purchased a 2022 Outback 342CG. It has had a ton of issues. Some still ongoing!First trip out, had water infiltration issues. Mopped that up and continued to our destination. Cargo door has a leak up on top also. Upon arrival at our camp site, the auto leveling system only worked on one side. The other side would not extend. So made for a wobbly camper. Poor trim work, front screen hinge screws are stripped, sliding barn doors not level and fall off constantly.Has been into the shop for warranty work. Some items fixed, many still not fixed since Keystone denied warranty. This trailer has been a LEMON from day one. It has been in the shop longer than I have been able to use it.Latest issue, there is NO SUPPORT for the drain line on the lav sink. In travel the drain line pulled the bottom of the sink out and cracked it up the side. KEYSTONE DENIED THE WARRANTY CLAIM. This issue has been since June 2022 and still fighting Keystone.I will be contacting a lawyer over these issues.

      Business Response

      Date: 09/21/2022

Thank you for contacting Keystone RV regarding a complaint initiated by ****************. Any items determined to be defects have been covered within the warranty for this unit. Items determined to be damage have been denied as they are not warranty covered items. We appreciate you bringing this matter to our attention.

      Customer Answer

      Date: 09/23/2022

I am rejecting this response because:

The lav sink has broken thru the bottom where the drain attaches due to POOR workmanship and lack of support for the drain line.

The SINK needs to be replaced as it is NOT usable at all.

The other items are also due to POOR workmanship on Keystones part.

I will be contacting a lemon law lawyer at this point in time.

Keystone can either fix all the items that need fixing or face a lawsuit.

      Business Response

      Customer Answer

      Date: 09/28/2022

I am rejecting this response because:

I do not understand WHY they will not replace a lav sink that the bottom was ripped out due to no support for the drain line. This happened on the road from a campground to home. Approximately 50 miles!

I have attached pictures of the issue. How can this NOT BE a warranty issue????

We purchased the ** new for 82k last year We paid **** to have the vehicle service and inspected 2 weeks after getting the vehicle we noticed it was leaking and our personal items were ruined Our floors were also destroyed by the leak Optimum ** fixed the leak but never fully fixed the floors There are dozens of problems with the ** and now Dutchmen is telling Optimum that the repairs are not covered under warranty including our window that completely shattered. I have attached a letter that gives a complete break down of what we have gone through and continue to go through. I am a disabled veteran and I sold my home to by this ** and I told the salesman that I needed something that I could live in and this thing didn't last 9 months and now they want me to buy a new one for 127k and they only want to give me 65k for mine even though I paid 82 for it 9months ago.

Thank you for contacting Keystone RV regarding a complaint initiated by ************. Repairs for any defects were authorized in August of 2022, regarding this claim. We appreciate you bringing this matter to our attention.

      Customer Answer

      Date: 09/23/2022

I am rejecting this response because: First of all not all repairs were authorized. The window and the washer leak were rejected due to the manufacturer saying they weren't covered. Second we had no way to bring the ** to the dealership because the dealership said it was unsafe to move and they were unwilling to move it and willing to work on it in place. We tried to get on the list to get work done and no one would return our calls. The suggestion that the manufacturer gave to us to move was not only unsafe but didn't seem reasonable to expect us to do plus we had no where to take it if we did do it. Last our ** has been damaged for the entire time we have owned it and the warranty expires next month at which time we won't be able to get any of these repairs done not that we can get them done now any way, but with that point we expect a full refund of our money due to breach of contract.

      Business Response

      Date: 09/28/2022

Thank you for the additional response. For clarity, any items that were deemed warranty coverable, have been authorized for the needed repairs to take place. Damages outside of the warranty parameters, would not be covered under warranty.

We purchased a brand new travel trailer ******** Dutchmen in May 2021 for $30,396. The brand new unit has now been out of service for over 120 days (since the start of this season). The issues first presented when we had owned the vehicle for less than 4 months. We purchased the vehicle in May 2021 (not available for pick up until mid June) from *************, which later became **************************** . Returning from our first trip, the siding had been pulling away, so we brought the trailer into service at Lazydays on or about 30 Aug 2021. The service department put in 10 screws to "secure" the siding. The very first trip this year, the siding ripped out completely. On or about April 15th 2022, the claim was approved under warranty. The part was not ordered, despite multiple follow **** until on or about June 8th. The part had been showing out for delivery with **** logistics since June 20th. On August 1st I called both Keystone RV and ******* ***** in ****** ** (current servicing center). The part was still showing out for delivery. 9 August 2022 the part was showing delivered a/o July 29th, however there is no part delivered, no delivery address confirmed, nor any signature information with the part. There was an "exception" note stating "late recovery by carrier August 5th" which according to ***************************, the Collision Advisor at ******* *****, meant it should have been delivered NLT Aug 5th.They finally declared the part lost on or around Aug 10th. The original part they had ordered was 30 ft long, when only approximately 14 feet was needed to complete the repair. Finally a new part was ordered Aug 15, 4 months after the repair was approved. I am seeking a full refund on this unit since we have not been able to use the entire year. My family could have been in jeopardy due to a defect likely present at purchase. Despite multiple requests for contact by management, I have not received and contact. "Ineligible" for mediation since warranty aprved.

Thank you for contacting Keystone RV regarding a complaint initiated by *************. We are certainly sorry to hear that the outside shipper lost the original warranty part shipment. Upon review of the file, the new shipment was sent on 8/17/2022 though a different carrier and shows received on 8/22/2022. We appreciate you bringing this matter to our attention.

      Customer Answer

      Date: 08/24/2022

I am rejecting this response because:

I understand the part was recieved and we have been in touch with the repair shop almost daily for the past several weeks. We are still coordinating then fixing the issue at hand.
I have asked to speak to a manager at least 4 different occasions from Keystone regarding returning a defective product that I have not been able to use this entire season despite being brand new. There are other implications such as certain warranties expiring and or months wasted where other issues may have presented and now may not be covered.
Additionally, since the same issue has already been "repaired" once as well as a second major issue we had with the brakes last fall, I do not have faith in the safety in the vehicle. We are fortunate the siding separating from the trailer (nor the brake issue) did not cause us to get into an accident.
We purchased the vehicle because my 3 year old has a heart condition and this was a way for our family to get out of the house "safely" during the ***** 19 pandemic. When I had to go and remeasure the metal after it had gotten lost the first time (likely due to a 30 ft piece being ordered by Keystone's dedicated repair shop despite only 6 ft needed), she was sobbing, screaming "We can't leave the house on wheels. We need to take it home. "
I have spent thousands of dollars on storage and accessories in addition to the cost of the product,  of which I am not even asking for.
Over 4 months have been wasted trying to fix this issue, more time than I have even gotten to use the trailer despite owning it for less than a year when this whole process started.
Please contact me regarding my concerns rather than just responding with information I have.

I own a 2019 Dutchmen Aspen Trailer1 7BH, which I bought new from ****** RV in ******** **. They are now out of business. However, Keystone owns Dutchmen and since owning the travel trailer Ive never taken it camping. With that said, I have leaks and called my insurance that said my trailer is under warranty and the seals are defective. For over three months not one person and manager, which I requested has called me back on this size-able investment. I have a report and contact person from **********Insurance which they also took pictures and examine my trailer with experts. I want this addressed by Keystone to whom is ignoring my calls.

      Customer Answer

      Date: 08/18/2022

I have not received one call back on my 2019 Aspen Travel Trailer 17BH by personnel or management. I have per my insurance company a defective model under warranty. I have called and emailed a number of times with no results for 3 months. I am very disappointed by manufacturers response. I have maintained my trailer and bought it new from ****** RV thats now closed and sold to someone else known as a camping Inn. When I called their customer service I am always given a lot of providers that either dont service my area or are full until 2023. Additionally, I was provided with a mobile RV person that doesnt even come to my area. They have been no help at all.

We have relayed that although non-warranty, if the validation of the root cause is determined and submitted to us, we will review for any goodwill participation available. I bought a new 2022 voltage RV that had extreme issues as soon as I bought it. I've been calling and emailing the manufacturer for them to fix the problems and they are refusing to provide any reasonable assistance. Electrical problems are causing us to get shocked when we touch metal in the RV. There is extreme water leaks at every window and slide out, leaks at multiple plumbing fixtures, shower leaks, and much more. Most of the wood floor is rotted because of all of the water damage throughout the RV. This was reported to Keystone within a month of purchasing the RV and they will not help fix anything. They tell me to take it to the dealership I bought it from, which is 1000 miles away. Local dealerships have a 6 month wait list. They will not allow me to bring it back to the manufacturer for repairs or allowed me to use a local technician. I paid over $100,000 for this ** that is completely ruined in less than 6 months of ownership due to poor manufacturing.

In January, 2022 my wife and I purchased a 2021 Keystone Montana High-country Fifth-wheel 385br from a ****** RV. On July 25th, I filed a complaint with Keystone RV Customer Service regarding screws popping up in multiple locations on the roof. In one section, the screw has actually punctured the roof membrane, compromising its integrity. Leaving it exposed to the elements will further damage the roof/rv. This was verified by ******* RV in Dover, FL (a certified RV dealer recommended by Keystone RV customer service). It was recommended by ******* RV that the entire roof membrane be replaced. This was confirmed by other certified dealers when I reached out for a second opinion. I also have other personal friends that have RV made by Keystone RV company that had similar roof issues and their roof was replaced by Keystone. This appears to be a consistent issue the Keystone products after reading reviews and speaking with Keystone dealers. Thus far, Keystone's only solution has been to patch the one location the screw has compromised the roof membrane. When speaking to ******* RV and other certified dealers they have expressed concern with this solution that often times they find that once patched, it will void the roof warranty. This also leaves the rest of the roof compromised with the protruding screws that will soon break through the roof. This was a very large purchase for my family, and we feel that we are being treated unfairly. This product comes with a 3 year structural warranty as well as a 12 year roof warranty. I ask Keystone why bother having a warranty if it is not honored and only offers an insufficient solution. I am not asking for anything that is unreasonable, just to be treated fairly. Multiple consumers purchase Keystone RV's every year, and if this is the treatment that they have to endure, I beg the BBB at least put a warning to the public about Keystone products. Many people put up hard earn savings to buy a dream RV.

I am rejecting this response because:
The company that was sent to fix the camper agreed with that Keystone recommendation would not fix the issue. Not only was the issue not properly fixed, multiple more locations were found by technician where staples were protruding out of the roof compromising the existing membrane. This is not a certified dealer as well as keystones own 3rd party confirming that keystones solution is not an appropriate fix

In June 2021 I purchased a Dutchman, *************************** from ******* ***** in *************. We have had nothing but trouble with it from day one. We drove the camper off the lot at ******* ***** and that night crossed the ID/UT border and stopped at a rest stop for the night. The next morning we did the safety walk around and saw that one of the hubs was damaged. We were headed to ******. Long story short, the camper could not be towed and we had to pay a mobile service to come and grease ALL the hubs as they had not been done properly. That was the beginning of the issues. We spent several months in the camper and kept finding more and more that was wrong with it. We contacted the ******* ***** in ****** where we were camping and they said we had to return the camper to the place we bought it. We called on the fridge when it stopped working and were told the warranty was expired on it; we had only had the camper a few months at that point. The entire camper has issues, poor, shoddy workmanship. Outside storage doors are misaligned, the finish is worn off the wood look dining area, etc. It is a long list we provided to ******* *****. ******* ***** wants to charge us to clean mold caused by leaking slider and disinfect where mice got in from the belly not being properly sealed. We had tried numerous times over the last year, beginning shortly after purchase to get something done. We were finally able to take it back to ******* ***** in UT. According to **** *****, this isnt the first ******* with issues, and another customer got ******* to take theirs back. I want ******* to take the camper back, pay off the balance of my loan, $39k and be done with it. I had asked ******* representatives to help get this done and as yet, nothing is being done. I dont want it, and I dont want to buy anything else from them because they cant be trusted to provide a quality product or good customer service. Most recent attempt: ******** - 2021 *******

Thank you for contacting Keystone RV regarding a complaint initiated by Ms. *******. While now outside of the limited base one year warranty, we do show one claim for warranty repairs in the system. Any repairs that would have fallen within this warranty have been approved to take place. We do appreciate you bringing this matter to our attention.

I am rejecting this response because: The camper has a 3 yr warranty. IT has too many issues to resell and the camper came with a refrigerator whose warranty had already expired a few months into purchase of this camper.

In less than 24 hrs we were broke down just over the *****/UT border at a rest stop. We called the ******* ***** where we bought it and they said bring it back. We could not do that. We finally found a mobile repair and that repairman said we were correct; towing it anymore could have resulted in it catching fire or rolling because none of the wheels were properly greased and the one was damaged because of it.

******* ***** in *********, ** told ** they would reimburse for that repair. I sent the bill and they did not respond. I sent a letter and the pictures of the damage and they still did not respond. That repair cost me $375. And I want that money refunded.

We had nothing but issues with this camper since that day. We replaced the water pump shortly after arriving in ******. When the fridge went out, I called the number on the warranty paperwork and it had ALREADY expired; a few months after purchase of the camper. HOW does that happen?? all appliances should be warrantied from date of customer purchase.

We made numerous calls to ******* *****s in ****** and sent emails with no responses long before the warranty on this camper ran out; one year and 3 year warranties. We were continuously told we had to take the camper back where we bought it to have the issues resolved. We purchased the camper in UT and we were in ****** and unable to return it to UT until June 2022. I regret not keeping a list of all contacts.

The list of repairs needed is at the service department in *********, **. The 'finish' on the dining seats is peeling off!!! its not real wood. The back cushions are worn on the edge that touches the seat cushions; not properly attached to keep them in place. When hooked up to city water, the outside access leaks the water out at a fast rate.

WE had issues with the furnace, the fireplace, the microwave and the oven.  One of the rear slides was not properly sealed and the leak went unnoticed until we had mold under that bed and the cushion on it. Now CW wants to charge ME  $75 hr to clean the mold and areas where mice go it because the belly wasnt sealed properly. I cleaned the camper thoroughly before taking it in for repairs; all areas I could access. This cleaning is necessary because of defects in workmanship of the camper.

We finally get the camper back to ********* where be bought it just to be yanked around on repairs and denied warranty coverage and given excuses. KEYSTONE?******* and ********* ******* *****  do not take any responsibility for the poor workmanship and do not stand behind what they sell. Meanwhile, summer is nearly gone and we havent been able to go camping at all. The season is over and we cant sell the camper with its defects; outdoor storage doors arent even attached level and the outside panels tried to blow off when we were driving. I would not pass this POS off to someone else even if I could. Because I have integrity; apparently, your company has none. We want you to take this camper back, refund the amount owed and let me buy another camper from a reputable company. I'm already taking a loss; having put an extra $2k into a protective coating to keep it looking nice.
