      They came out to our house 5-6 times over a blocked main drain line. Rodded line, sent camera through several times, dug up yard and replaced 20 of line, used water ****** to find out only problem was a back flow preventer in the line had a broken gate. Not sure why camera didnt see this. So long short dont use them should have been a $300-400 ended up at $10,000.

       Thank you for this review.  We ran a camera inspection on 9/6/22 and it was found that you had a smashed line, and it was not allowing water to flow, we did a 10-foot spot repair. On 9/7/23 we came to your home to replace the 10-foot spot. March 2023 we were called again for a backup, this time we ran the **** machine from your clean outs and ran the camera from the outside clean out, we were able to restore flow. We came the day after and ran a ****** to completely clean out your pipes. We were called out again in April 2023 due to another clog, it was discovered at that time that the back flow preventer was wedged sideways in the pipe, the area was dug up and we removed the flap and ran another camera line to verify that your pipes were clog free.

      Peterman Brothers attempts to emotionally manipulate and deceive their clients to accept unacceptable terms. Recently, I had them assess a clog in the main sewer line via camera inspection. The technician stated that this is a huge problem and it is going to cost you a LOT of money. He then 'demonstrated' that there were tree roots in various places, the line was broken at every joint, and there were major offsets in the joints. He said that this was truly an emergency and that the cost would be around 18 grand. He further explained that we ran the risk of having knee deep sewage in the basement if we do not have them excavate the yard and replace the sewer line ASAP. A few minutes later, my wife came home from work and he said, "Oh I wouldn't want to be you having to explain this mess to my wife." She walked in the door and he said, "I better get out of here so you guys can talk." His intent with his tone and facial expression was to show my wife that we had a huge problem that would require us to come up with 18 grand ASAP. But the technician did not leave before bashing other local plumbers' work by saying they had to correct their work all the time (this demonstrated a lack of integrity) The technician's deception became more apparent when we had another plumber with a different company perform the same inspection the following morning and said the sewer line was in great shape for its kind and age and that the one offset was the city's responsibility. The city has since corrected the issue at their expense. The second plumber earned my trust rather than took advantage, had integrity, and unofficially quoted half the cost if we simply wanted to update our sewer line. With this level of deception, what is to stop them from intentionally breaking equipment to raise the cost of repairs? Peterman Brothers should be ashamed. I can't imagine how many vulnerable people have made poor, unnecessary financial decisions based on being emotionally manipulated and scared.

      Mr. Hoffman,
        Thank you for your thoughts on our recent visit. We,
      here at Peterman Brothers, never want anyone to feel emotionally manipulated or
      deceived when we are asked for solutions to a problem.  Sewer problems can
      be a very expensive repair, using scare tactics to get a job is not the
      Peterman way and we have since parted ways with the individual that was at your
      home. 
       Currently, we do leave our customers with multiple
      repair options and educate them about each option and a contact for any
      questions. We do realize that we are not going to service every person we meet,
      but hopefully provide them with the knowledge to make the best decision for
      their home and family. 
      Peterman Brothers is very sorry that this interaction was
      less than ideal and left you feeling this way.  We do hope you will give
      us another chance to earn your trust in the future. Best Wishes.

      They use scare tactics to **** consumers into taking out loans for thousands of dollars. They almost got ** for a little over ******. Where they said we had a break in our main line, was actually the city's responsibility! Do not trust them to tell you the truth. If you have a backup call your cities sanitation **** 1st!

      Will never use or recommend them again. Ive been paying monthly as a *************** member only to find out when I needed service for a problem, that they no longer service geothermal systems and could not resolve my problem.

      Well, I am no longer a member, soIm not sure how you plan to service existing customers with geothermal systems when you were unable to diagnose what was wrong with my system and simply threw up your hands and said weve done all we can.I received a phone message from ******** in Customer Experience last Friday morning that indicated she would call back the first of the week. Here it is the end of the week and no call. Another example of poor customer service. Please dont waste my time any further.

      So, I had Peterman brothers repair my sewer line they quoted me over ****** I thought that was very expensive but the appraiser told me since I had a large tree in my yard they would have to go around or cut the tree down and cut the **** down in front of my house So I said go-ahead. They came out a few days later did the job but never cut the tree down or they never went around the tree but still charged over ****** dollars and they said they would come back out for videos to give to the city so they can fix there part of the sewer they never came back out and they left a big pile of dirt in my yard So I called told them what was going on. The said they would call me back they never called back...very expensive and poor values

      We are sorry to see this review. During the initial visit to your home, it was determined that the sewer did run under the tree in the front yard, and we were going to reroute a new sewer line around the tree. There was no need to remove the tree, however we did trim the side of the shrub to have better access to the foundation. We replaced the current compromised line with a new 40 PVC and embedded with #8 stone and followed the driveway down to the street. Peterman leaves the area mounded where work was completed to allow natural settling to occur around the pipe to not cause damage to the pipe installed. If this area is not allowed to settle for 6-9 months, the dirt that would be moved away from this area would leave a lower area once fully settled. The leveling package was declined by *****. Customer Experience has reached out and left a voice mail to work with you personally about your concerns. Thank you for the opportunity to service your home.
