The worst service, treated like a liar & passed around for months job unfinished & looks terrible. Cut my vinyl fence with a saw. Did not come back to fill, level or put down seeding. Cracked my driveway, then denied it. Switched my kids bathroom hot & cold around & took 2.5 moths to finally fix. No shows & the last of **************************************** when I requested a supervisor.

Hello ******, Thank you for your review and the opportunity to service your home. The removal of the section of fence was necessary to complete the quoted repairs. This should have been advised to you during quoting and diagnosing steps of ***********. Our leveling package that was offered to you was declined so the leveling and seeding becomes the homeowners responsibility at that point. We can absolutely still sell you this package if you are interested, please reach out if so. We also discussed with you that our photos taken during the estimate do show these cracks in the driveway. With having documentation prior to beginning our work, we cannot pay for any repairs. We do apologize for accidentally putting the shower handle on in reverse and the amount of time it took to correct this. Most of our notes indicate that you were the one ending calls while trying to discuss the items above. At Peterman Brothers we believe in standing behind our mistakes if and when we make them. In these instances we have not made a mistake to stand behind. We thank you again for choosing Peterman Brothers and we hope that we can be of service in the future. Best wishes!

Peterman is always able to respond in a reasonable amount of time. Because of their size, we can get service when others are back-logged. Like any large service company, the quality of the work is largely dependent on the individual tech. Some are better than others. Regardless, the company seems eager to make things right. Prices may be a bit higher than smaller companies or individuals but not unreasonable or unexpected.

I paid over $10,000 for a new septic tank that I learned yesterday, from the health department, was never permitted and is not legal. I was assured that all legal permitting was done when the tank was installed, after asking repeatedly. I have had continued sewer back **** and just found out that the septic field and distribution box that Peterman told me was there and working is non-existent! They connected the new tank to an old clay **** that goes into my yard and is completely illegal! I am now being told I could be evicted and fined up to $1000/day for an unpermitted, illegal, and non functioning septic system! I have called repeatedly, and am always told the "customer experience" team will contact me. I hear nothing from them. My next call is to an attorney Do NOT hire this company!

We sincerely apologize for any and all inconveniences caused by us or our work. We are actively working with the county to get the septic tank permitted. This should have been done prior to installation so we are not sure what happened here. We would like to assure you that we will continue to work with you to make this right. Please stay in contact with our Customer Experience team as we work to resolve your issues. Thank you for the opportunity to service your home.

Our sewer backed up on Feb 14. We called Peterman because they replaced a clean-out in July and we were hoping it was still under warranty. They came out the next day and we were told that they were unable to get it opened up and that we would need the entire line replaced from the house to the street. The cost would be $12,575 but they would take off the $5000 we paid in July. They said it would be the following Mon, Feb 20, 6 days before they could do it but that we should not use the water in the meantime. Mon was a holiday, so it was Tues.-7 days. After reviewing the paperwork, they did not take off $5000. They took off 15%. When I complained and said I was told $5000 they took off another 15%, which was a total of $2000. Not the $5000 we were promised. But we had already had no water for 6 days and my elderly mom was frustrated and just wanted it fixed so we would be able to use the water. The line was replaced from the house to the street, but we were then told the issue was actually between the curb and the street and we would be responsible for that work. They said they would be back the next day (Feb 22) with a camera and auger to see if it could be fixed without replacing the rest of the line but we should continue to restrict our water usage. No one showed up. No one called. We are now 9 days out from that (15 days total of restricting our water usage). I called the local office yesterday and was told she would take care of it and I would get a call that afternoon. No call. So today I called their headquarters and was told it was forwarded to the sewer director but they still could not tell me when they would be here. We were told by the city and other companies that we were grossly overcharged. That would not have been the case had the $5000 been taken off as promised. With over $15000 in loans now, we can't afford to go somewhere else. We feel ripped off, lied to, and neglected. It seems once they got the $10,000 we were completely disregarded.

Dear ***** and ******, Thank you for your feedback. We respect that you have a choice every time you hire a company, and we appreciate that you have given Peterman Brothers an opportunity. We do apologize and it is never our intention to neglect you in any way. We should have called you to let you know the next day was not going to work in our schedule and had set up a time that did. This is an exception to how we handle our scheduling. On 2/21/23 we were at your home to install a sewer line from your home to the curb and back out again on 3/3/23 to run a ****** to make sure the line was clear. On 2/20/23, you spoke with ****** about the cost, he was able to get over ******** taken off the bill for you. We are very sorry you went through this difficult experience. It has been noted that you have been working with our Customer Experience team as well as our Plumbers and we hope they have addressed all your concerns. Sincerely, Customer Experience

My issue with the cost is that ************************* told me before they even started that they would take the $5000 off to refund the money that we paid in July for the work they did then. I even asked if we would still have to pay the initial loan from July and he said yes, that the discount would be taken off of the current work. I confirmed that when I signed the paperwork. When (after signing the loan agreement) I saw that there was no $5000 taken off, in fact there were no numbers at all on the "invoice" I received, I called *************************** at the office and requested a detailed invoice of what I was paying for. When I received it, it had no numbers on it, only an itemized list of the items they were going to be doing. So, I requested it a second time. This time it had generalized amounts with one line stating "15% discount on services" but no amount showing that discount and no amount showing where $5000 had been taken off. I called again, *************************** advised me that the 15% had already been taken off. Even though the original quote was for $12,575 on the day ************************* was standing on my porch and gave me the quote and he told me he already deducted the $5000 but said nothing about 15%. Nothing in the paperwork showed ANY amount taken off. It shows a "potential savings" of $******, which is not only not $5000, it is not 15% and does not reflect that the ****** was taken of the quote. IF all of these discounts were taken off before I complained to *************************** in the office, I have nothing showing what the original cost was or that any discounts were taken off at all, until I called a THIRD time and *************************** offered me an "additional 15%" Which, I still don't see where the original 15% was taken off, only a single line on the paperwork that says "15% discount on services" but no dollar amount and nothing off of the $12,574 quote. And no dollar amount prior to "taking off 15%" My "itemized invoice" shows the following...Labor, $5531.92...Materials $1257.26....Equipment used $3,017.41...Supervision and overhead $1,508.71 and profit $1257.25 for a total of $12572.55. There is no discount reflected there. Not the $5000 and not the 15%. If the $5000 had already been taken off, why is that not shown in ANY of the paperwork?? Since there is nothing showing that $5000, I can assume it was not actually take off anywhere, and the total should have been approx $7572. When I complained again to ***************************, he took and "additional 15% off" Even though I have nothing showing what he is saying was the initial 15%. That means that I received nothing showing the estimate without discounts. If he did indeed take of a total of 30% of the original amount I was quoted, $12572. then my total should have only been $8800. Which is STILL not $5000. The way your people make it sound, because ************************* tried to tell me that he DID take the $5000 off before the quoted amount, making the total cost of the job $17575 before any discounts. NO WHERE do I have that amount in any paperwork. NO WHERE do I show that ************************* took off $5000 before the $12572 quote as he said he did and when I spoke to ***************************, he also said NOTHING about the $5000 being taken off, and even in your response, you say that ****** was able to get me "over $4000" off, which again, was not the $5000 I was led to believe was already taken off. So, someone is not being honest somewhere. When ************************* told me that the $5000 had already been deducted resulting in the $12574 amount, there were 2 other employees standing there. Because my comment was along the lines of...so the original amount was over SEVENTEEN THOUSAND DOLLARS?? While you are trying to make it sound like I should be grateful for the "over $4000" that *************************** took off, someone is not being honest somewhere and someone absolutely misled me to believe that they were taking off more money that I was told. I am suspecting that the $5000 was not actually taken off the $12572, otherwise, it would have reflected in the invoice I was finally sent with the numbers on it and *************************** would have said something when I spoke to him. He was very dismissive and offered no explanation as to why the $5000 was not showing on the paperwork and also did not indicate that it had, in fact, been already taken off. I have NOTHING showing that $5000 was taken off prior to the $12574, I have NOTHING showing the 15% was taken off prior to me complaining and *************************** saying that he generously took off an "additional 15%" Either someone doesn't know their job, lied to me or your company is just plain dishonest and takes advantage of people who are desperate to get the sewer fixed and don't feel like there are any other options at the time. I would be happy to send you the paperwork I received, or I am sure you can get it from your office. What I am expecting is the $5000 off and the 15% that is apparently a standard "discount" you give, otherwise it would be reflected in the invoice.

I am also appalled at the condition they left my yard in. There is a mound of dirt from the house to the street. When I asked about it I was told it "would settle" It is 2ft high and 4 ft in some places. There is no way that will settle. I would be happy to send pictures.

      Angela T

      Date: 12/20/2023

Again, Peterman's has not held up to what they said they would do. They left a 4 ft tall mound in my flowerbed and a 4 ft tall mound spanning the entire front yard. I asked them if the 4 ft was necessary. They said it would need to "settle" and they would be back in 4 to 6 months to plant grass. After speaking to several other professionals, I was told that the 4ft mound was ridiculous and unnecessary for appropriate settling. When I called and asked them again to reduce the mound, they came out and razed it completely level. We are now 7 months out and I have sink holes in the yard. No one ever came and put down grass seed. There is still a 4 ft mound in my flower bed that has never been leveled at all. My yard was filled with weeds, which then spread to the rest of my yard. I don't understand how one company can stay in business overcharging and not keeping their word. Peterman's has done nothing that I would consider "good customer service". I am still not satisfied with any of the "resolutions" they believe they have given. I still don't have an itemized invoice for what I paid showing the discounts I supposedly got. I also never received an itemized invoice showing the "over $****" that was supposedly taken off the bill. If all of the discounts that were supposedly take off were actually taken off, I should have received an invoice with a total cost of $24,075. Which is a ridiculous amount of money for the job that was done. ($12,575 + **** (that was supposedly taken off) + **** + **** (that was also supposedly taken off) I am not asking for anything that a normal customer can expect. I want an itemized invoice with EVERYTHING on it and I want my yard fixed. I don't think that is too much to ask for the $20,075 in loans we are now paying.

These people over charge people to replace a single kitchen faucet. To replace a single kitchen faucet they would have charged my mom over $800.00 but a coupon was involved so it brought a little below $800.00. The repair man was only at her house for two hours or less. I have since talked to other plumbing companies, just to get a round about estimate, not one charged this much. One they are over priced and two its taking advantage of the elderly on fixed incomes. I absolutely DO NOT in any way shape or form recommend this company to anyone unless you are ready to take out a loan to have a faucet replaced. Companies like this should absolutely be ashamed of themselves to charge this kind of outrageous price to change a kitchen faucet. The repairman tried to talk her into purchasing other stuff, which is absolutely what repairmen do, thank goodness she still has her mind and didnt purchase everything he said she needed.
