While Angi is good for finding reputable companies to do your work, get rid of Angi after that and contact the company they helped you find on your own. My "rep" for Angi made is really tough and stressful as I was new to town and needed to get accurate information on the permit process before my deck could be built. She was a terrible go-between and very lazy. She was also out of state and gave me a few suggestions on where I might want to start. I didn't have time to drive around to offices stand in line to ask questions. When I asked to speak with my contractor, she never answered. I figured out how to reach the contractor *on my own* and got a very simple answer. Phew! The experience was stressful and frustrating. I mean, it's my money and my project...why couldn't I speak with the contractor to find out the steps I needed to take first to get the permit? When I asked the "rep" for another representative to work with at Angi, she lied to my contractor and told them I wanted out of Angi. I bet she didn't want to explain to her co-workers or manager why I no longer wanted to work with her. The fact that SHE LIED is also pretty terrible. I was smart enough to put that request to her in an email so my contractor and Angi management could see that she lied. She was also very demeaning to me in other emails. Sent it all to Angi and never got a response! Nothing back. So glad I left them and got my money back.Bottom line: I am getting my deck done without a go-between with Angi to get in the way, thank goodness.

I am thrilled with my bath remodel from Dreamstyle Remodeling. The excellent reviews I saw on Angi for Dreamstyle influenced my choosing them for my remodel and I'm so glad I did. They did an amazing job and I couldn't be happier!

We have a refrigerator that over the past few hot days failed. Seems the freezer door wasn't fully closed and the unit's compressor died. Thinking I could expedite the repair as a new unit isn't currently in the budget, I contacted the compressor manufacturer and acquired the replacement part as one of the options on Angi is "...I'll supply the parts". I scheduled the service to replace it, insisting that the service "Professional" (in quotes for a reason) would have the knowledge, skill, ability, and equipment to complete my job on 29 July. I called scheduling and mentioned this to the operator that he'd need the tools to handle r134(a), the refrigerant. Again I was told my "professional" would have everything he needs for the job. My "Professional" arrives at the scheduled time, (10:00AM) and when he walks in, says he has NO tools, and NO equipment, needing to leave and get his gauges, but will return. My "Professional" leaves. Not having heard from my "Professional" in a bit, I attempt to reach out through the Angi App hoping to get a status update, the text that worked prior, now doesn't. I call Angi and ask for an update. The woman said "...He's not coming back..." and then tries to schedule me for another week out before a "Professional" can arrive to do the job. So recapping thus far:1. A "Professional" arrives on site without tools or the equipment to do the job.2. This professional realizes he doesn't have the knowledge or ability to do the job.3. Leaves saying he will return, but has no intention to return.4. Makes to effort to contact scheduling to notify me that he's not returning and they need to find another to complete my job. From the conversation with the scheduler, I'm told that a "Professional" will arrive on the morning of the 30 July and they WILL have everything needed to complete the job. Early that morning I get a text saying staffing requires it moved until Monday, calling I learned they still have no "pro, THEY LIED!!!

Do not even think about do business with Angie ******************* Read the following statement carefully:Angie ****************** is the same company working under the very same predatory marketing and financial practices. Their deceptive, and unlawful operations are dangerous and detrimental for Small Business Owner and consumers in general. In addition, they have in place a fraudulent large-scale payment system arranged to overcharge customer in a monthly basis, for ghost services even after months of cancellation. Do not take my word see it by yourself on the testimonios and reviews from many helpless customers that have been misled, exploited, and unfairly treated by this HomeServices online marketplace. All the complaints have one single common denominator: Rip off. Hundreds of contractors join class-action lawsuit accusing HomeAdvisor of fraud: 6abc *********** Investigation The lawsuit, filed by a *********, ************ law firm, claims HomeAdvisor's business model is defective, deceptive and fraudulent. From roofers to carpenters, to electricians, HomeAdvisor has been a tool to grow business for home improvement contractors. The company charges contractors money for leads to potential customers considering projects.I cannot stretch enough that kind of misappropriation and thievery this company does. Please, report, take action and safeguard yourself from ************************************ list.

Angi is not the service-oriented personalized service of Angie's list. The bots and algorithms are not the clear service-oriented organization that typified Angie's List. I like a second contractor to look at a job to compare how their service/price may compare with one who has already bid. Maybe at 80 I need to learn new ways to hire folks, but the current ANGI bot doesn't do it for me.

HORRIBLE. BAIT & SWITCH. DO NOT USE.I was given a quote for a *************** by phone. When confirmation was received it was for a ************** at a rate 25% HIGHER than the quoted Monthly cost. When I called customer service to have the ***************** corrected to the agreed upon amount, I was met with rude customer service who refused to make any of the changes. COMPLETE SCAM.
