I have annuity accounts with Global Atlantic. I requested to transfer my money to New York Life. I did web signature transfer request early October, 2022. The request was rejected. I and my financial advisor had a conference call with Global Atlantic *********************** I had New York Life send the esignature and manually signed the document and sent to Global Atlantic with the correct address. After waiting for days, I checked my account, the transfer did not happen. So I and the financial advisor did another conference to the annuity service center. I was requested to sign the document again to send the web signature document to them again. So this was the third time, I signed the document, dated the document and email the employee who told us to send it by email to him. I waited for over week, and I tried to log in my account online. I had used the correct user name and the correct password that I found out my online access to my account was blocked. Then I was notified saying that need to resubmitted the web signature again. I made another conference call with the *********************** The employee answered the phone asked me to submit a E-signature again. Actually, I did twice signed E-signature. I complained to the employee when I made the fourth conference call. He asked me to have the transfer request document faxed to the service center. The New York Life financial advisor did it right away. I believe that I did everything right according to all their requests. I tried to log in my Atlantic account online. After all I did everything that Global Atlantic ********************** requested me again, again, again, again, they still hold my money not let the transfer go through. I need you help to let me get my money out of this illegal business practice center. It is my life savings. I need the justice to be done. They are lying. They are cheating and what they are doing is totally unlawful. Thanks. I would like to hear from you soon.Business Response

This is to confirm that we have received the above-referenced complaint dated 12/16/22 and the same complaint on 12/05/22.
Keeping Policy information secure and private is one of our top priorities. In compliance with state and federal privacy laws, we are required to restrict access to Policy information to the Policy Owner or authorized individuals. Therefore, because we have not received written authorization to release information to the Better Business Bureau, we are responding directly to the Complainant.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this response/resolution is not satisfactory to me. I just received a letter from the company. They asked me about my accounts numbers saying they could not fine my accounts since my accounts were not posted by BBB. I am going to get back to them within this week. It was a horrible experience form and it was unethical and not professional at all. They were excessively abuse their opportunity not to let me to transfer the money out of their company and lied about they did not receive the requests continuously asking me to resubmit the request and repeated asking me to do the same thing again and again even blocked my access to my accounts online. After two months, I got two of my accounts money transferred out but I still have two more accounts with them. I want to make sure this would not happen again. I am truly thankful to BBB to reach out to them But they have not done anything to catch these bad folks to make sure this would not happen to me again. Many thanks.

GLOBAL ATLANTIC WILL NOT GIVE MY DAUGHTER HER $50,000.00 PLUS INTEREST THAT MY MOTHER LEFT FOR HER. SHE WAS SUPPOSED TO GET IT WHEN SHE TURNED 18 IN APRIL OF 2022 AND IVE CALLED AND CALLED AND CALLED AND JUST KEEP GETTING PASSED AROUND TO ALL THE DIFFERENT DIVISIONS WITH THE "UMBRELLA' OF THEIR COMPANY: ATHENE, ACCORDIA, ORIGINALLY IT WAS AVIVA AND APPARENTLY HAS BEEN PASSED AROUND NUMEROUS TIMES. I BELIEVE THEY MAKE IT PURPOSEFULLY CONFUSING SO YOULL JUST GIVE UP AND THEY NCAN KEEP YOUR MONEY. I SENT IN THE **** INSURANCE CLAIM FORM ON AUGUST 12TH(BOTH FAXED AND MAILED) AND WAS TOLD ID RECEIVE MY CHECK THE FOLLOWING MONDAY OR TUESDAY. NEVER ECEIVED ANYTHING. CALLED BACK AND WAS TOLD I WAS CONTACTING THE WRONG BRANCH OF THE COMAPNY, ACCORDIA AND THAT I NEED TO TALK TO ATHENE SO I TALKED TO SEVERAL PEOPLE THERE AND NO FEWER THAN THREE OF THEM WERE SUPPOSED TO SEND ME A CLAIM FORM OR SURRENDER FORM AND HAVE NEVER RECEIVED ANYTHING. THE FIRST ONE WENT TO THE WRONG ADDRESS IM TOLD, BUT THE OTHER TWO SHOULD HAVE MADE IT HERE BY NOW. WHY CANT THEY JUST SENTD THE FORM AS AN EMAIL ATTACHMENT OR OVERNIGHT IT TO ME? THIS IS THE ABSOLUTE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!! This company will not surrender my policy to me. My policy was originally started with Forethought Insurance Company and transferred to Global Atlantic. The policy origination was May 2013. Since then I have recieved a yearly payment from the policy. My policy states after 8 years and with my current age the entire policy can be surrendered. On August 10, 2022 I submitted paperwork to close my policy and have my remaining money surrendered. After a couple of weeks of not getting my money I was informed my birthday on my policy did not match my surrender papers and I needed to prove who I am. I filled out the paperwork they sent and included my birth certificate and drivers license. Come to find out when the policy transferred someone erroneously entered my birthday. That had not stopped this company from paying me my yearly payment over the last 9 years. I even received a payment in May of 2022. However, I have since provided all information they asked for and here we are 6 weeks later and they still will not surrender my money to me. *** talked to many supervisors. I have many peoples names that work for the company and my financial advisor has even called telling them they cannot hold my money. I am to the point I am almost ready to hire a lawyer to get what is mine. I would not advise anyone use this company. If it comes time to have your policy surrendered this company will give you the run around and hold your money when all other companies Ive dealt with have paid out within 3 business days. I understand the birthday issue but that has been resolved for over 3 weeks now and I still do not have a payment from the company.Business Response

I have a $25,000 annuity with Global Atlantic, aka Forethought. My bank and financial advisor is trying to move this money to a new, higher paying annuity since the time is up. Global will not release my money. They keep saying my signature doesn't look right. I have provided them with copies of my id, electronic signatures, paper signatures, etc. I am beginning to be concerned about my $25,000.Business Response
