5 starsFive stars for ONLY Sibongakonke Solani. This gentleman is the only one that truly helped. Everyone else did a terrible job at explaining and guiding me through the process. He was there every step of the way.Review fromRobin S

If I could leave zero stars for this company I would. They double charged me on 2 policies that I have with them plus caused me a $29.00 overdraft fee with my financial institution. They said they would refund my money for the overcharged amount and the overdraft fee it caused. However, after submission of all documents as requested by Global Atlantic group and speaking with 10 different agents. I am told they are not reimbursing the overcharged amount and that it's due to the fact that I have had my policy for over a year and my payments are due the 3rd of each month but they don't process the payment til the 5th of each month so they had to charge a double payment. I've had automatic payments for the entire time since getting the policies. Therefore how is this my fault they don't take the money from the account until 2 to 3 days after payment is due?Global Atlantic Financial Group

Keeping Policy information secure and private is one of our top priorities. We are currently reviewing this matter and gathering appropriate information. As soon as this review process is complete, we will again correspond directly with the Complainant. We expect this process to be completed in approximately 7-10 business days from today. SIX MONTHS of run around - cusotmer service (CS) tells you a different story EVERYTIME - and flat out lies! they need to start using the recordings of thier agents that supposedly are recorded and listen to what they are telling clients. Never a manager on site to assist and CS "I can call you back in 3-4 days if this issue is resolved" its has not been resolved. Have one CS say everything is in order two days later a different CS calls - "that person was mistaken"..."but what I am about to tell you will resolve" and six months goes by and Global still has done NOTHING.Global Atlantic Financial Group

I cannot overstate how appalling my experience has been with Global Atlantic / Forethought Life Insurance. My father passed away at the end of February, and we began trying to close his account in early March. It is now mid-May, and this still has not been resolveddue entirely to the company's staggering incompetence and disorganization. They have made every step of this process unnecessarily difficult. Communication is a nightmare: representatives are nearly impossible to reach, and when we do manage to speak to someone (after being transferred and placed on hold repeatedly), we are routinely given incorrect, conflicting information. It has taken seven separate calls in one day just to get basic answers. We were told to check specific boxes on the claim forms, only to be later informed that doing so was incorrect and would delay the process further. We were told we must submit a copy of my fathers policy contractbut then told it would take two weeks to receive by mail. It never came. After more follow-ups, we were told the contract wasnt needed after all.The final straw: the company has now issued life insurance payout checks to my two brothers and me totaling more than $100,000 over the actual value of the account. This egregious error is just one more example of their sheer carelessness. When we called (again) to report the mistake, we were told wed need to wait yet another week for the claim to be reprocessed and new checks ********* a time when grieving families should be treated with care and professionalism, Global Atlantic has caused nothing but confusion, stress, and infuriating delays. Their systems are broken, their customer service is incompetent, and their internal communication appears nonexistent. I would strongly urge anyone considering this company to look elsewhere.Global Atlantic Financial Group

It has now been several weeks of extensions from the company without a resolution. They reissued the "corrected" checks, but only two of the three beneficiaries received anything and both checks are incorrect amounts again. We are at our wits end with how to resolve this issue. This company has been nothing but a headache and we're unable to resolve our father's accounts until this is complete. It has been three months now since we started and we have no hope in sight as it will likely take another several weeks before we receive anything again.Review fromJoyce H

I cancelled a policy with Global ***************************** refuse to refund me my money back. I cancelled within the time allotted. They refunded me a check for just above $50.00. I paid way more than that to get the policy started. I cancelled the policy because I asked upfront if I would be able to make my own payment arrangements, I was told that I could, but I had to contact Global Atlantic directly to make those changes. When I tried to make those changes the representative called them & was told that I couldn't do that. I cancelled the policy at that point because the policy had a loan attached to it. I've called repeatedly & to this date nothing has been done about my full refund. All i get is the run around treatment. I expected better but got the worse from this company.Global Atlantic Financial Group

1 starGlobal Atlantic Financial Group is a SCAM. They charged me $1,155.63 in addition to the total amount of $8,000 for the Funeral Expenses for being 3 weeks late in the pay off at one year. I received NO notification from the agent and the Forethought Life Insurance *** of the due date which was 6-16-24. I received a call from the agent (***********************) on 7-10-24 telling me of the pay off. At 1 year of $5,281.63 as per Global Atlantic Financial Group. I mailed the check of $5,281.63 on 7-10-24 to P.O. ******************************** as I was told to mail to. This is PRICE GOUGING with malicious intent to horrifically take advantage of the elderly ( I am turning 82 in 3 months ) and defraud consumers like me. These people should be held accountable for deceitful practices and fined accordingly as well as refunding me $1,155.63 overcharge with absolutely NO prior notice or warning of the due date.Review fromElizabeth R

1 starMy annuity came due May 13th, 2024 from Global Atlantic. I went to my bank to have my *** transferred. The bank completed all the paperwork and Globla Atlantic confirmed they received the paperwork and would process the check to my bank FBO of myself. As of today, 5-30-2024, the bank has not received the check! I have called several times and spoke to numerous people which they Always had a different reason why I did not receive the check,ex: paperwork was not done until the 15th, slow mail etc. I called on 5-28-2024 and Global Atlantic noticed the address they sent the check was Incorrect! Error on their end! They said they would stop payment on the check and overnight a new check to the correct address! I called once again today 5-30-2024, and was told Now They have to do paperwork on the stop payment and monies would not be received until June 4th!UNACCEPTABLE! They would have my funds for 3 weeks! This is not in ANY Way a SMALL AMOUNT of funds! Will file a report with the SEC also.Read several complaints on Global Atlantic, and they are known to HOLD customers funds! Once again this is unacceptable!Review fromTammy S

1 starI paid for my pre-need, monthly, for over 2 years. I had my debit card hacked, I did not receive a notification that this affected my account and the bill was not paid. A couple months later I contacted them and told them my situation, told them I had moved, restarted my account and it was set up on automatic billing. The sales lady contacted me the next day and informed me I could not continue with this pre- need account due to moving out of state. The billing continued. After stopping my account by myself I received a $16 check to reimburse me for the money they had taken. My payments were $75 a month.Review fromTina L

1 starScammers My parents bought funeral insurance. For anybody thinking about this...its a bad idea. First, most beneficiaries won't even know its there so it will never be called. Second, its basically a very low to no interest rate account. And third, when my mom passed away, they want to pay the funeral home directly. Our funeral home charges will be less than what my parents put in the account. I think ********************************************* offers this so that they can hold on to the remaining money. Most people wouldn't know to ask for the rest of it.Review fromGregory H
