My Wife was in a vehicle accident on Oct 14th. at ******* ****************************************************** ****** **. I called and submitted a claim to Farm Bureau (policy number **********). The adjuster never called my wife or the witness that was at the scene. They have determined that it was a no-fault incident without conducting any investigation. ******* provided a video showing that my wife stopped and the other car backed into her. The minor driving the other car did not have his insurance or DL on him and was cited at the scene by the responding police officer. The other driver also violated the IN BMV restriction to new drivers; they may not drive with passengers for 180 days after getting their probationary license, They knew this was wrong because they had the passenger jump into his parent's vehicle when they showed up to the scene. Farm Bureau is lacking any ethical standards to conduct a proper investigation and fulfill financial liability coverage for their clients.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined the response would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

This response does not relate to me but some other case that references the strong family. Farm bureau still has not reached out to my wife or the witness of the incident. We have collected video showing the fault of the Farm Bureaus clients.

We had an issue this spring where we noticed our roof board decking was warping up, and lifting the shingles above and around our chimney. We contacted our agent and their adjuster (*****************) came out and inspected the roof and attic areas and the result was no assignable cause was found. The adjuster then ordered a third party inspector to come in do a more thorough investigation and the report showed a "higher" level of moisture was found but no leak at this time. The report indicated that the moisture was potentially related to a poorly vented attic even though the ridge and soffit vents (with chutes) were installed correctly back in ****. The warped roof decking in question is located around the chimney area so one would think that a poorly ventilated attic would have a more widespread issue with decking warping then just a small area.Without finding a leak, we continued on and had a power attic vent installed to help with the alleged moisture issue. It was several moths later during a thunderstorm when we could hear water dripping in behind our fireplace and found water leaking in around our chimney onto the floor in the chimney cavity. This leak caused drywall damage to the upstairs and downstairs ceiling areas.***************** was called out again to assess the situation and ordered another inspection to investigate the leak. Once the inspection report was completed, ***************** told us the decking board damage would not be covered as part of the water damage as he was attributing it to the poor attic ventilation theory. I shared with him that the warped boards were located within proximity of the chimney area where the leak was found. The data clearly supported this leak with high moisture readings and only warped boards were located around and above the chimney area.A poorly ventilated attic would be a more widely distributed issue with "warped decking" and not be concentrated to one area such as my chimney. **** has ignored my request to discuss furt

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined the response would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

The response from Indiana Farm Bureau has not changed their position on covering the warped decking boards as part of the water damage.

If the water leak would have "been found at the time of the first claim", then they would have "assigned the water leak as the source of the high moisture found in the attic which caused the roof boards to warp.  The decking boards in question are only in the proximity of the said roof leak.

The root cause of both the claims is the roof leak so if the leak would have been found during the first claim, there would not have been a second claim.

I don't agree with *************************** assessment that there are two separate causes of loss.
I will be contacting a third party for an attic ventilation evaluation where a professional comes in and conducts a "smoke test study" to determine if there is adequate / correct ventilation for my attic space.
