      We purchased a "Dwarf Fruit Cocktail Tree' from them in 2021, which was supposed to have 4 different stone fruits on it. Not only did we not receive it until almost a year later, and no correspondence (and only after repeated attempts from us to find out what was going on) but, more importantly, upon planting it in 2022, we realized it only had one type of fruit, not 4. Additionally their customer service is located in India, not in the U.S. so very difficult to get proper help, they really don't know anything about plants, and they were unable to find our order id in their database. I would avoid them like the plague.

      I placed a small order and it was supposed to ship right away since it is the proper planting time in my area. After 3 days, I called the company to find out why the items hadn't shipped. I was told it would be another 48 hours before the seeds would ship. I then requested that my order be cancelled. After putting me on hold, they came back to the phone and said that the order could not be cancelled because it was already being shipped. I again requested a cancellation and when they refused, I disputed the credit card charge through my bank. My calls went to a call center somewhere in another country and it was not possible to speak to someone at the actual company location so I'll never order from this company again. They have been around a long time but have obviously changed dramatically over the years on how they do business.

      Seems like a disorganized company. Not knowing when to ship bare root stock for different zones, non vibrant stock and incorrect/miss labeled stock.Customer service and reimbursement has always been prompt, Im happy about that.Unfortunately for them, they have convinced me to never buy plants on line and to purchase from local nurseries.

      Been growing sweet corn for years and have always had great success until trying gurneys sweet corn seed. Very poor quality seed! Two years in a row buying seed corn from them that was bad! Should of learned from the first year after not even half the seed germinated! Been hearing a lot of bad things about this company and would highly discourage anyone from doing business with this company!

      Very DISSAPOINTED! Ordered over $200 in product only to have some cancelled 45 days later. Still haven't received garden seeds such as: radish, lettuce, squash, corn, watermelon, etc... Order was placed in middle of April and still waiting. Status kept stating ready to ship but never shipped. Time to plant has gone.
      CAUTION ON ORDERING FROM GURNEY! Their performance is very poor and unreliable! I will not order again from them.

      We have been very unhappy with almost everything we have ordered from Gurneys. While the quality lacked overall, the peach tree was dead. They did not have in stock, so we ordered another raspberry and two blueberries to replace it, and had to pay shipping for it because it was not the exact thing that they did not have in stock and will not for another year! None of them look great, but the raspberry in particular is a pathetic 6 inch dead looking stick. We gave up and bought another one at the local nursery for less money, and it is a beautiful healthy bush. In the meantime we bought another peach tree (same one we had ordered from Gurneys and they didn't have) for $20 less than Gurneys. It is 4 feet tall with peaches on it! What you they have is not a business, it is a racket! I would have been better off taking my $300 paid to them and burned it. That way I would be out the money, but would have only had to plant things once and be ahead of the game with better and more mature plants, and not as much time wasted. The only thing worse than their poor quality and high prices is their rotten customer service!

      Caveat emptor.
      Ordered 30 tomato plants and got the smallest raggediest plants you’ve ever seen. Unpacked immediately and watered regularly until planted. Once planted they were fertilized and regularly watered. 6-8 plants dead already, rest struggling mightily. Called them and got a template response on the importance of unpacking, watering, yadda yadda yadda.
      Will not order anything from them again and I have been spending several hundred dollars per year with them. Might as well buy at *******

      Shipping dormant plants will always be hit or miss
      I have bunches of stuff in my yard from them, I will prolly buy from them again.
      to be totally honest, I think everything I've gotten from them spreads underground, and is bent on world domination, and is unkillable
      but I'm a terrible gardener, I need stuff that will survive, and Gurney's has it

      Sent me the wrong kind of strawberry plants. I ordered a june bearing variety and sent some kind tiny berried everbearer with next to no flavorer. They did give me store credit but that doesn't help with the wasted time and effort.

      There were problems with shipping and when the order was canceled they did not refund me the correct amount. I heard about Gurney's from family who have used them in the past with no issue. Given that, I placed an order on 4/3/2023 totaling $73.89 (total: $100.93, shipping: $21.99, estimated tax: $0.97, coupon: -$50). The majority of the estimated shipping dates were between 4/13 to 4/27, but a blackberry was expected 4/6 to 4/20. My Gurney's® Whopper Strawberry Plants arived 4/12 with no issue. The rest of the unshipped plants and seeds dates kept getting further out every time I checked the status. Due to the expected date being pushed to May and one item being put on backorder, I called and canceled the rest of my order. The order was officially canceled on 4/28 and I received a refund on 4/29. I knew I would have to pay full price for the straberries I recived with shipping. They refunded me $44.41. On their website the straberries are $14.99 and shipping to me would be $5.99 totaling $20.98 (without tax). $73.89 - $20.98 = $52.91 - $44.41 = $8.50 unaccounted for. I cannot find any mention of a restocking fee on their website nor a fee for canceling. The discrepancy is not an astronomical amount, but I do not like and will not recommend this business.
