On July 9, 2022 I purchased a **** Buick Lesabre for $3500 cash using a debit card and discovered on July 21, 2022 when I was able to take the vehicle to my mechanic that the vehicle was dangerous to drive because of the condition of the car. My mechanic asked me had I purchased the car from a different ***************** in **** and I advised the dealership I purchased it from, he then proceeds to advise me that he was about to report them to the state because this was the third car from one of their dealership that the vehicles being sold were not inspected and putting lives in danger. The vehicle I had needed brakes, capillaries, rotors all the way around including reframe work because the rear of the car had no support system because it had rotted and there was no way to place struts and shocks on the rear of the car or to support it which would have caused extensive damage to the vehicle as well as to me had I continued to drive it. Once I received this information contacted them and advised them of this they offered a trade for the same value I paid I was doing paperwork then was asked for a title I did not have yet nor applied for because I only had the application for title and they wanted me to pay them more money and present a title they know I did not have to them and told me they were not going to refund me with out the title foe the Buick I left the car on the dealership and the title is not on my *** record because I had it removed since I do not have the vehicle or the title but they were still trying to get me to pay more money for a different vehicle. I have recorded phone calls pictures of the vehicle and text of them trying to pay more money for a different car. I asked for a refund and they refused. They are putting people in danger with the vehicles they are selling with no regard for human life. I have reported them to attorney General and the federal trade commission as well.

Good afternoon I read your response and the dealership lied to you I have attached all documentation and the receipt where the purchase was made and I hope you can help if I not I would like this forwarded to a supervisor who can look a little closer into things. The issue has not been resolved.  This complaint has also been submitted to the attorney general and the ftc. I can gladly resubmit this issue but again I think looking at the evidence it was clearly a lie that the dealership stated there was no purchase made at their dealership.

This has been replied to in another complaint

I was able to find the transaction and discovered we did offer to but the unit back or refund the money but she is unable to produce the title due to a tax lien being placed on the unit by the ****************.  If she can produce the title and return the vehicle in similar condition we would stand by this through August 30 2022

I returned the vehicle to Andy Mohr Ford Plainfield on I actually returned it in a cleaner full tank of gas fresh oil change on July 22, 2022. So again the dealership lied because I dont have possession of a vehicle that I paid cash for because it is undriveable. I do not have the title to the vehicle so their is no lien on the title and I do not have the vehicle. They have not contacted me with a solution and has refused to refund my money for something I do not have in my possession.

The company has stated their position has not changed. The vehicle belongs to the consumer, and as soon as she brings in a clear title to the vehicle, they will provide her refund.

I do not agree with the response because the card used in the transaction was not mine or in my name it belongs to my relative and due to the circumstances of that technically because the vehicle is in the companies possession and the title is not in my name because it was removed from my bmv profile, they are stealing. I have since been working with the attorney general as well. If the was looked into further one would see that the vehicle registration, title of application has not even been turned in or registered with the ****************. So how can I provide them something I do not have or have possession of the request is void. The dealership has not reached out to me to make any resolution at all and my relative is already ready to proceed with legal proceedings because her money is what is in question.

Our last reply to this was we would refund the money with a clean title produced through August 30.   There has not been a clear title produced.  This is not something we are required by law to do but are willing to out of good faith.  This has been communicated extensively through this platform and many times via the telephone prior to this.  ************** (we assume) chose to drop the car off here and left the keys in it overnoight a few weeks ago.  This is her car. We have not touched it other than to secure the keys.

The **************** title form that I have sent prior and have attempted to upload again here, clearly indicates she is the owner and there is still a state lien on it.  They have the title until the lien is paid.  I will extend the refund offer through Septmebr 30, but not beyond that time.  We are alos not responsible for the abandoned car left here by we assume ***************

I did not abandon the Buick Lesabre the dealership told me that they would trade the car out for the Chrysler I was to leave with and then they told me to pay them some money after I test drove the new car. I was told it would be a even trade but once I filled out the paperwork and the trade was finalized I was told I could not drive away from the dealership. So the dealership did offer another car and then turned around and attempted to get more money from me. The Buick is a death trap my mechanic advised no one should be driving that car. I was feeling very unsafe driving the vehicle back to the dealership to trade it. I am not about to put myself in danger driving a undriveable vehicle because if the vehicle caught on fire or anything while driving and there is not a complete frame on the vehicle I would find them liable for my life and my life is more important than that car that I dont own. So technically the Buick I dont own I actually own the Chrysler I signed paperwork for as an even exchange of cars. I do have the recordings but was unable to attach the large files. So once I could not leave with my new car I requested my money be refunded to me for an inhabitant vehicle. Plus the day I went to the dealership I was not the only one bringing a vehicle back. The dealership has not been inspecting the vehicles and are predatory on customers to get them caught up and exploit them to keep the money for the dealership.
