    Ecoshield Pest Solutions of Delaware is a deceptive and misleading company. Their sales representative proposed a pest treatment that would cost approximately $250 a year. I rejected the treatment because my pest problem was minimal and the granular treatments I do myself 4 times a year are adequate. His response was his treatment would probably only be needed once per year. I responded that was still too much money. He replied that if he reduced the price to $189 for the first year would I consider it. I replied that I would not be interested if it obligated me for a second year. His reply was that you will see the service is so effective you will want to keep it. I am 82 years old and have a difficult time getting around so I accepted the offer. They did a treatment on about June 15, 2024 and I was impressed with the results and I was billed $189 on my AMEX card. While we did not have a problem with ants in the house I would see ants outside and when I raised the garage door they were crawling where the garage door met the concrete floor. After their treatment I did not see them anywhere. About July 15, 2024 I got a call from someone saying he was from Ecoshield and was coming to do another treatment. I told him it wasn’t necessary but if it was part of the service go ahead. He did an abbreviated treatment and I got a notice from AMEX that I was charged another $189. I contacted Ecoshield immediately and they said I was obligated to 4 treatments a year. I objected and explained I did not sign up for that. After a long heated discussion they agreed to close the account but would not refund the second $189 charge. I strongly object and feel I am due a refund.

    ECOSHIELD COMPLAINT. BE AWARE. Have you ever gone into business with a company because you are pressed at the door for it? I did and that's when my horror story began. The wonderful salesman of course didn't disclose, before they had you sign, that if you canceled you still had to pay for services. Of course, it was embedded in the lengthy email they sent which was supposed to be your plan. My mistake was assuming the salesman had given me all the informatiion. I called and canceled due to money shortage while paying my daughter's bills when she had surgery. I got a call 2 weeks later after I had paid for my initial service and was told I owed $200 for cancelation. Of course I didn't have it or I wouldn't have canceled. I paid $25 and hoped they would work with me. That was another mistake. The lady claimed the $25 went to sign on bonus not the account. I corrected her and said iI paid it toward the $200. They wanted the rest immediately. I explained why I cancelled and didn't have the money and could they work with me. Their working with me was to reinstate my account and they could discount the next service but that it would be over $500 to complete the year. I chose to keep it closed but under no circumstances would they work with me. They wanted that money and wanted it now despite the fact they were not giving any services gor that money. So be VERY, VERY careful if you do any business with ECOSHIELD.

    ALL THEY DO IS DROP MEN OFF TO SOLICIT IN COMMUNITIES WHERE THERE ARE SIGNS POSTED "NO SOLICITING". TRISTEN JOSEPH ROSS IN A WHITE TESLA DROPS MEN OFF TO DO HIS SOLICITING. COMPANIES WHO ALLOW THIS SHOULD BE OUT OF BUSINESS.

    This company is nothing but a big rip off. They quote one good price for 5 treatments and then want to charge you the said amount for each of the treatments. Then send you an invoice after, that states the cancelation date which is already past so you can't cancel the contract. When you finally get the contract canceled, they tell you that you owe then for the difference from your price and their full price. This is several hundred dollars. Their rep does not carry business cards, is very smooth talker and the service man is the same. By the time you find out what is going on, it is too late. If you want to save about $460, do not have anything to do with this company. When you call and try to cancel, you get the runaround, and they try to sell you another bogus bill of goods.

    Terrible company! a young man knocked on my door, said my neighbors signed up for the service. He then walked around my property showing showing me evidence of ants. I said I lived with them for over 50 years and they didnt bother me and I didn't want the service but he was very persistant and aggressive and to get rid of him I finally signed for one service. They wanted to come back and I said no, I didn't need or want the service. They charged me $246.30 from my credit card they had on file. Very dishonest company, if anyone comes knocking on your door uninvited tell them to get lost! I learned the hard way!! NO STARS rating for this company!!

    This company should not be in business. Terrible application, missed areas, concerning behavior by technicians, and misleading sales techniques. Currently on day 2 of attempting to cancel as I'm within the 3 day right to cancel by law and per my contract. It has taken many calls and multiple demands to speak to the correct department in order to process the cancellation. I have received messages that they have been trying to reach me, which is completely false and misleading. I have currently been on the phone over 30 minutes attempting to reach the correct department. So much of my valuable time has been wasted by this horrible company. Their sales tactics were misleading, their technicians unprofessional, their call center atrocious and don't even think about attempting to cancel within your 3 day right to cancel without losing your mind.

    False sales representation! Claimed that would only cost $199 for 12 months/ 4 quarters of service. I paid the $199 plus tax. When service was inconsistent and not helpful with ant problem I called to cancel service. They now said I owed $201 more even though I had received only one service call ( the second was a no show). I looked back on the original invoice and indeed, there was a $201 discount for the 4 quarters of service. Totally dishonest representation of the true cost particularly as their product does not work. Amazing the no one can shut these people down! Listen learned the hard way. Zero Stars!

    This should not be a business. The customer care division forwared me the customer solution department who had me talk to a sales rep to cancel my service in which they cannot cancel accordingly to the customer care agent. Instead they are still trying to sell me products in which I just want to cancel service. This company will told me they will postpone my account buy I asked yo cancel. This is a refusal of cancelation of service. The Attoney General should be investigating this company for the way it is treating the general public and should not be allowed to practice these terrible tactics of doing business against the general public. The BBB should not stand for these types of companies nor backing them as good business practitioners. The Senetor of Maryland should be holding these types of businesses accountable and respect the plite of the general public. I am rating this business a 0 and has no class to do business the correct way. Do not use this service at all. From a concerned citizen of the UNITED STATES of AMERICA.

    These people are liars. First they tell you you can finish the contract at any time. Then they will tell you that an specific insect is not included in the contract. They told me mosquitos are included but then, they wanted to charge extra for a mosquito service. I stop using them but I kept getting bills from them, I called them and settle my balance on 3 payments, they assured me after I paid the balance they will close my account, but oh surprise I received another bill for $166 which they said is for a discount that I received to keep my account open for 2 years. Had to do a 2nd agreement to pay this and avoid collections. This company ethics doesn't exist.

    not even worth one star... a young man came to my door telling me of the vole problem in my neighborhood. He said he worked for EcoShield and could get me a discount price to get rid of the moles and voles. I told him I don't have any moles or voles. funny thing, a month later and my yard was infested with them. So I called up EcoShield to say, come on over I need help with the moles and voles. They said sure we can come out it will be $175.00 ... pretty steep, but ok I thought if it works great. So I was at work when they came out, when I got home, I didn't see any rodent traps or poison or caster oil pellets or mint dust, or any evidence at all, someone might be doing something to stop the moles or voles. I called them, and they assured me they did. one month later, they again come out to my house. I found that odd, since I thought I only paid for one visit. Then I recieved another Invoice for $175.00 and I was like, woe woe, I didn't want a monthly service especially one that was that expensive and wasn't making a dent in the moles or voles. I called and aske them to cancel my account. Then they told me I had signed a years contract. I was like what? when? who? to cancel my account I would have to pay and additional years worth of visits, the promised me a lower prices again, and talked me into letting them finish the year. Well nine months in, I've still got the same problem. again I tried to cancel my account and again, I was threatened with a $250.00 buyout for the contract. When I asked if I could just let the contract expire I'd pay to the last remaining visits, if the the contract did not automatically renew. But guess what, they will immediately reschedule you, even after your contract is up, just like automatically renewing a subscription or service. In other words, you have to call them back after your last service to cancel your account....
