    Not professional! They cancel appointments in window of their arrival. What should be a 1 day furnace install is now 3 weeks and counting.

    We contracted polestar to fix a gas leak which resulted in our service being shut off. I was told when I scheduled the appointment from day one (Saturday June 15th 2024) that they would be out to start the repairs Monday morning June 17th. Monday came along and all morning passed without hearing a word from polestar, I had to reach out and ask what's the status of things, to which the plumbing manager came out to assess the job. The manager first and foremost just tried to upsell me on a water heater, and informed me a technician would be out the following afternoon. A technician finally did show up late in the day, did barley 2 hours worth of work only to leave the job unfinished, extending into day two. He stated that there was additional leaks past the point in the gas line he repaired (a 2" long x 1-1/2 T fitting) and that more gas line would likely have to be replaced. Day two, same thing, all morning went by not a word from polestar, when I called to check I was informed I was supposed to sign an estimate for the second half of the work which was emailed to me early in the morning which I was unware of, it would have been nice if they actually called me to tell me this, that way an entire half-day didn't go wasted. The estimate and contract very clearly said it was for the labor and materials for replacing up to an additional 5' section of piping. What's absolutely crazy! is that the second technician that came out day two assembled everything back together with the old fittings, did a pressure test, and everything was good! THIS WAS THE SAME SET OF FITTINGS THAT ALREADY EXISTED WHICH THE FIRST SERVICE TECHNICIAN SAID WERE A PROBLEM AND HAVE TO BE REPLACED. If I would have not noticed this, I would have been unintentionally billed for parts and services that they did not actually do!

    In the end I paid $850 for two days of work to replace a 2" section of pipe after begging them to even come out and do any work.

    Horrible job with a tub and shower surround. My 3 day quote ended up taking 15 days, and the work is still unfinished. They started work on Tuesday 4/9 and had to wait a day for the wall to dry because of the water damage, and came back Thursday 4/11 to replace the floor and some studs. The wrong kit was delivered on the 4th day which was a Friday 4/12, and we had to wait until Tuesday 4/16 for the correct kit which ended up being unable to use because of the window in my bathroom. Danny blamed the supplier for having the wrong measurements on their site. A 3rd kit was sent Wednesday that was cheap and flimsy, Gerald asked for my permission to refuse the product, and then told Danny that I kicked him out of my house. Thursday 4/16 I asked Danny if we could at least have the toilet reseated while we wait on another surround kit, he sent someone Friday morning, only to realize that someone had cracked the toilet tank. Still no word as to whether or not I'm paying for that mistake. I had yet another pair of techs that came out Monday 4/22 to undo half the work from the previous 8 employees that had been in my house throughout the past 2 weeks, so they could install the new surround properly. Finally able to take a shower Wednesday evening 4/24. My tile floor is damaged, I have a large gap in my wall at the toilet shut off, and they did not use a drywall bead or any other style of trim. Looks awful Also, there is a large 3 inch scratch on the front of my new tub. I have been using Polestar for everything in my house since 2011, but this will be the last time I ever do business with them.

    Run away and call another small company ! My history with this company was too much.

    I was introduced to this company by one of their techs, who was fine, he fixed my prior old AC. They installed my new AC system in my home. The quality of the AC/heat system is good (Rheem). However, their installers were clueless and not my original tech. They were clueless in the installation and it was not done correctly. That was 1.5 years ago. I complained to them back then, and they requested I not give a negative review and they would give me a discount on other services. I did not want to spend the energy and gave up.

    However, now my thermostat went out. It is only 1.5-year-old. Polestar sent their "senior tech" to my house, knowing our past history. He tried to reset the thermostat and said he could not get it to work. He then tried to sell me a new Honeywell thermostat for $450. I pushed back. My current thermostat is under warrantee with Honeywell. I declined. I called Honeywell and had another AC company come out to fix the thermostat.

    He found that the thermostat was not broken but had been set to off (setting zero). Unsure if this was done purposefully or by incompetence, but it was done.

    Polestar has low quality work, no ethics, and should be avoided. They are scammers and should be placed under investigation and loose their business license.

    I had a water leak coming from my ceiling, and I called Polestar Plumbing for help. Two plumbers arrived at 10:50. They found the source of the leak and repaired it by replacing 18" of copper pipe. They left at 12:00. Total time spent: one hour and ten minutes. The charge: $1,044! I thought the charge was outrageously high and asked for a refund of $360, but it was refused. I will never use Polestar Plumbing again.

    Ian did an amazing job: He was able to also stop the underlying hum when the furnace would run. Can’t thank him enough. 5Star service for sure.
