    Ian is a very knowledgeable technician, very nice customer met service, he let watch everything he did and formed me of every step, which I like very much. He also tried to set me up with the Lennox app for my tstat but he couldn’t do it due to a local problem in the app, I appreciate the efforts and his service.

    I have a Rheem hydronic furnace that quit working. I called Polestar to see if they had a tech that was familiar. He could not figure it out; so he called his boss, Danny. They finally called and said it was the heat tubes ( of which the tech had checked and said they were clear) then he said Rheem no longer supplies parts for that model; and they would have to install a new furnace. I called Rheem corporation, and they said they did supply parts. I have called Danny demanding the $109.00 labor call out of the total $210.00 device and labor bill. He gives me a different exuse every time. He said he would contact his Accountant but she was sick. Then last week he said she was on vacation. I feel like they owe me the labor as they did nothing; plus lied to me to sell me a new furnace! Beware of this company!!!

    Hi Lanny,

    We're very sorry to hear about the challenges with your hydraulic furnace. Our team takes customer satisfaction very seriously, and we understand your frustration.

    During our visit, our technician conducted a thorough diagnostic of your furnace and was there over an hour to identify the issue. We found a significant problem with the coil being clogged, due to someone not flushing it properly. The coil is such a major component that unfortunately the cost to repair would have been extremely expensive.

    At that point, our technician recommended replacing the furnace. That would not only address the issue, but also come with the added benefit of being under warranty. We apologize if there was any miscommunication regarding parts availability, as we would have needed to ship the parts which would have taken longer than replacing with a new furnace that was in stock.

    We used their $79 promotion to have them service our furnace. When they showed up suddenly they could smell gas, which I’d never smelled before and after their inspection they turned off my furnace saying it was unsafe and a liability for them to leave it on. Then of course they are offering to sell me a new furnace, A/C and they’ll throw in a water heater because they’re good guys. They refused to give me a dollar estimate at any point, even when I insisted on one. We called a local family owned firm to come out the next day. The other guy found a loose port and fixed it immediately. I asked him about all of the problems Polestar said they found and while
    he agreed my furnace was old, but it wasn’t unsafe and didn’t need to be replaced yet. I will never trust anyone who shows up and “suddenly” finds problems that I’d never experienced and follows it up with hard pressure sales tactics where they swear it’s a dangerous system that they can replace immediately but aren’t able to give me a basic estimate of what it could potentially cost.

    Dini – This information is very important to us. Management looked
    back over our technician’s findings to verify the data he found on your service
    call. Our technician ran a flue analyzer test and found CO levels that were starting
    to become toxic, rusting inside of the 18-year-old heat exchanger, and could
    physically smell a gas leak. At that point, we cannot take on the liability of
    leaving the furnace running. Shutting off a furnace is a very difficult decision
    that management has to make when we have clear proof it should not be operable
    for your family’s safety. We have attempted to contact
