I had working heat and AC and simply called LBA for a furnace tune up. Ended up spending 7k and having NO heat and NO AC (heat fixed now. Still no AC/heat pump).
Story:
Upon initial inspection of my old unit, they find a safety problem requiring replacement instead of just the cleaning. I was hoping for just a cleaning but It's older and the fan motor was on its last leg of life, so I agree.
-The purchase process and installation went great. They even came out the very next day.
- I had heat during their post installation testing but it quickly stopped working after they left...
-Same day a different tech comes out and works on it for a while (longer than the install took..). I have heat!...but he has bad news- that my heat pump and AC unit no longer work and he *thinks* it may be freon.... This doesn't make sense because it's never showed signs and it worked before they did anything as well as It ran while they were there..
-After a few days the original tech that inspected my old unit (who sold me the furnace and had his supervisor try to sell me an ac combo) was sent back out to evaluate and concludes that somehow, I'm magically out of freon completely! 100%... Not even just low. He also says a "cap" was missing which it could have leaked out of and is certain this wasn't one of their techs faults. (the cap was on the ground next to it... I'm not sure why he didn't reinstall)
Of course he recommends buying a whole new unit again.
Anyone in my shoes would have hard time trusting that I'm not being scammed into an AC unit.
They have yet to even give me a price on the freon and just keep saying it's expensive and suggest a newer unit that doesn't use the outdated freon.
A customer service manager was going to investigate and call me back. It's been 1 week.
My Google nest shows that my AC was running efficiently just days prior, so I'm worried this is going to be a legal issue.LBA Air Conditioning, Heating, & Plumbing, Inc.

I had an outside water faucet emergency this morning. I called LBA Services. They were able to get someone out within a short amount of time to help me. The service technician was Jason. He has worked on our home plumbing before and he is so friendly, professional and caring. Jason walked me through what needed to be done and understood our family situation.
