1 starSCAMMERS!!!!! DO NOT PURCHASE FROM THEM, PERIOD!!!! No stars should be an option! Returned a book they sold me because it did not arrive in time for class to start!! I had also paid expedited shipping for it and apparently they didn't even have it in stock a stated on website. Ordered from another company, outside of the US, and it was here in 3 days. Returned the ebook from here thru UPS since I already had my book by the time it arrived, but because I didn't use THEIR return label, they've been acting like they don't have it or can't find. Completely incompetent and coward management! If they cannot scan a bar code and open to see correct book, they should not be in business. I've been dealing with this situation since Sept, and due to THEIR ignorance, I cannot file a claim with UPS because it's over 60 days. Not one time could I speak to anyone on the phone, it's been the biggest headache and run around, and as a student, the extra stress is the last thing I need. The reviews were awful, I should've read more before ordering. Now I'm out over $150 and I am pissed! Praying everyday, as I file a formal complaint with the BBB, that they get shut down! Companies like this are what is wrong in the world. I've been going to school for YEARS and have never had this happen in my life.Review fromChris U

1 starTerrible! Sent me the wrong book that is clearly shown in an image and I'm told I need to follow the ISBN. Yeah, like I memorize ISBNs of all the books I'm looking for. No. I should be able to search by title and rely on an image. False advertising in my opinion. I will NEVER use them again.Review fromShasta R

1 starThis company so it calls itself are nothing but fraud! I sent them my BRAND NEW NEVER EVEN USED book . They sent me an email telling me that my book was not accepted and if I wanted it it back that they would send it for a price but I would have to send my credit card information for them to process it . So I got back online to chat with yet another person only to find out that my book was not in acceptable condition. So I get back online and chat with yet another person to find out wtf and he said that my book was in perfect condition and he was expediting the findings and said I should be getting my money. Long story short they refused to send my book back and said they were destroying it. They first said I could pay 5.99 to get it back but at the end they had gone up to 12.99. I have every word I sent to them and they to me. They ought to be banned permanentlyReview fromNicholas S

1 starPLEASE DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY FOR ANY REASON, they are a terrible to do business with. I ordered two books I did not need, only one of which was returnable for a refund. When I returned the book I was told I would not get a refund because it was "damaged while in my possession". So over $200, just right down the drain. Thing is I never even opened the book because I didn't end up needing it. Beyond that, they wanted me to pay $12 shipping just to get the book back, and they are planning to charge me a replacement fee for the book, a book I bought, and now they have determined is somehow unusable, and now needs to be replaced? All of this is beyond ridiculous and truthfully, if I had to choose the worst company I have ever had the displeasure of doing business with, its ecampus by a long shot. Do not trust them, don't bother giving them your money, they are truly awful. There customer service takes days to reply and you can never actually just call and talk to another human being. Waste of money, waste of time, and a waste of a companyReview fromJeremy P

1 starOrdered a book here, nowhere was it indicated that it was looseleaf. Regardless, my college made a mistake and posted the wrong book requirement, so I ended up not needing it. I asked how to go about returning it, but the instructions were not helpful. When I tried to reach back out, I was told that my case had been closed, so there was nothing they could do.Review fromJennifer A

1 starOrdered a textbook on 8/16/2023 and received a confirmation that the order would be cancelled and refunded if the seller didn't confirm and ship the book in 2 business days. Reached out for expected shipping information on 8/18 and didn't receive any response. Reached out to customer service on 8/21 and was told since I purchased the book thru a marketplace seller that it wasn't their problem and that I needed to contact the seller directly. First, I already did this with no response. Secondly, this is not what it states in their email confirmation, it doesn't say that the seller will need to refund the order. It states "An eCampus.com Marketplace seller has two (2) business days to confirm and ship your order after the order is placed. If the seller fails to confirm and ship your item within that time frame, your order will be cancelled and refunded. The refund will be returned to your original payment method within 3-7 business days." Will be filing a dispute for this charge.Review fromKortni S

1 starDO NOT USE ECAMPUS!!!!! I rented a book from them in June 2023, to be returned in August 2023. The rental agreement stated to just send it back before the due date, and to make sure its not damaged (highlighted, water damage, etc.). No big deal, I sent it back IN THE SAME CONDITION IT WAS SENT TO ME before the due date and thought nothing of it. Fast forward a week, they are trying to charge my card WITHOUT NOTICE the entire price of the book ($300). When i check my Ecampus account, it says the book has not been returned. I go grab my UPS receipt, and check the status, which states that it had been delivered 5 days prior. So i call, no answer. I email inquiring about this, to which they respond that the book was sent back damaged, with no pictures to prove this so called "damage". When i asked for a photo of the damage, they sent me an extremely close up photo of the edge of a book, along with an extremely close up photo of a book with the ENTIRE SPINE RIPPED OUT. This is obviously not my book. Upon investigating Ecampus, i've come to learn this is a common scam they pull. What are the chances that 10's of people are RIPPING OUT THE SPINE of a book they rented??? They also scam sellers of books. Their game is that they buy used books from students, but in reality tons of people don't ever see money, Ecampus claiming the book was " too damged", "never received", etc., and with no resolve and some people don't even get their supposed too damaged book back after receiving no money!! Then they turn around and rent these books out to unsuspecting, poor college kids such as ourselves, only to claim "damage" when we return the book. They are either damaging the books themselves, or they are sending photos of books that are already damaged and are not even your book. Not to mention these are books that were basically stolen from kids trying to sell their used books in the first place. Please do not use this company. They are predatory and their prey is poor college kids.Review fromVerenice P

I ordered a rental book online in August 2023. Within two days of ordering, I tried to cancel my order. I used their chat feature to cancel my order, and the chat representative told me that the order had been canceled, so it would not ship. However, I received the book in the mail days later. I had to pay for the restock fee and shipping fee to return the book despite having canceled it before it shipped. Once I tried to resolve this issue, I reached out to the chat representatives. I was dropped by the representative mid-conversation and had to be reconnected. I do not like that the only way to contact this company about issues is with a chat feature (which can be slow to respond) or via email (no response at all).eCampus.com

1 starThis company is not real. I paid $45 for a textbook rental that I never received. The chat representative told me it was lost in transit and that I would receive a refund. When the return date approached they charged my $159.99 for not returning the textbook. After months of trying to get my money back I am no further than where I started. The company has no phone number, only chat over the website. When I ask about information concerning my order they tell me my order is too old and they cannot help me. Please, do not use this website. It is a scam.Review fromEmbs I
