I filed an escalation complaint with health insurance marketplace on February 9. Someone signed me up for heath insurance with Am Better without my consent. I was employed last year and carried BC thru my Emoloyer. so when I want to file my taxes I would have ended up owing the government money because of this. They told me it would take 30 to 45 days to have it resolved so on the 45th day it still was not resolved and the deadline for filing taxes was approaching. I had to go file my taxes with the incorrect 1095 a form and I had to pay the government Over $1100 because of this error . I called it today, which would be almost 3 months and this complaint has still not been resolved when it should be as simple as seeing that I carried insurance through my employer for the whole year of 2023 I need a corrected 1095 a form so I can file a tax amendment in this case is still not resolved. No one has contacted me. I can’t speak to anyone about it and I just keep getting the same old story, when I call that it could take up to 30 to 45 days and some cases may take longer. This is unacceptable. I want to be able to file my tax amendment so I am able to get the money that is rightfully mine and not the governments.Initial Complaint

on recent tax filling market place reported to IRS that my husband used insurance for the the period of Jan through April 2023 ,which my husband never used market place insurance, and IRS deduct the money,5000 from the tax refund we are supposed to be getting, we called market place and also reported it to FCT Burau for fraud ,we since then have been calling market place to resolve this issue but all to no avail, we went further to contact IRS for a refund but IRS suggest we contact market place and we not getting any response from them, please we will gladly appreciate if this matter is being looked into and our money refundedInitial Complaint

Since February 1, 2024 to Current Date :
These people are relentless. I gave my phone number online to a bogus ad for a particular type of procedure covered by insurance. The ad said did they covered this particular procedure. However when they called me they in fact did not cover the procedure at all. They insisted to sell me marketplace insurance at that point. Every single day since then at least 50 times a day, my phone is being called relentlessly by these marketplace people. I have told them over and over to put me on the do not call list. I tell them hat I have marketplace insurance already . I tell them I don't want to change my insurance provider and to to stop calling me. Yet they continuously harass me 24/7! This is ABSOLUTELY ABSURD! Quite frankly I feel it should be against the law it's HARASSMENT.!Initial Complaint

i have been trying to file my taxees for two years now and all i needed was the paper telling the irs i never had insurance through the marketplace, i called them server times through out the year of 2022 and eacch time they told me they would send it in 45 days only to never recive the papers.
now it is 2023 and i am trying to file again and being told the same thing i have to wait 45 days on a paper that they will never send to me.Initial Complaint

The market place third party insurance agent keeps reenrolling for services after I have terminated repeatedly since April of 2022. This has costed me thousands of dollars to the irs for 2022 year and 2023 taxes. I have called and they continue to tell me it is under investigation. I received a letter in the mail concerning my healthcare coverage from Marketplace. I have never signed up for healthcare from Marketplace, ever. Since then I have received several letters about insurance through Marketplace that I DID NOT sign up for. I've called them several times and have not received any help. Someone has stolen my identity and has taken out several insurance polices for me.

Due to an injury at home in December of 2022, I had been on short term/long term disability through my job for almost all of 2023. In July of 2023 I INQUIRED ONLY with a local broker about Marketplace insurance while weighing out my options, Cobra, etc. I have never paid a premium at all. I chose to stay with Cobra, I have had health insurance through ***** ******* ALL of 2023, I have a copy of the 1095C from my employer stating so. Someone got ahold of my information from Marketplace and has signed me up for insurance through the Marketplace beginning in September 2023 and continuing on still today! I have called Marketplace numerous times, filed appeals and escalations, etc, because in January 2024 I received a 1095A for almost $3500 in Tax Credits that have been paid on my behalf that has to be turned in to my tax preparer. I never enrolled in Marketplace and never paid a premium of any kind. I am not eligible for Marketplace insurance, I have coverage through my job. Every time I receive documents in the mail stating I have insurance, I call and cancel it immediately, but the next month it is right back on there again. I have asked for my name to be removed from EVERY list that they have. I DO have the two insurance brokers names and NPN numbers that Marketplace says has signed me up for the policies. They are: ****** ******* ************ and ****** ******* ************. I do not know nor have I ever had a conversation with either of these gentlemen. I am so frustrated and do not seem to be getting anywhere with the Health Marketplace regarding my concerns, and it's still happening in 2024. They are still signing me up and it's reported to me that the tax credit being used in my name is $1023 per month, so who knows what a 1095A will say at the end of this year? I pray that you can help resolve my issue or direct it to someone that can, and hopefully this whole thing can come to a stop, and these fellows are held accountable for their actions!Initial Complaint

The price is I reach out to this marketplace for health insurance, they got me with Ambetter of Tennessee it started out good ,my payment was 112.23which was good but there started to be a change in the payments ,I received my premium bill statement up until November which would be a payment for December,I did not receive a premium bill statement for January I called to inquire about it, but the lady said it was payed,I told her I write out checks and I'm not showing
one for January but she insisted it was paid,I ask if they could make sure they could please send me my February premium bill statement the lady said yes.Well I did not get a premium bill statement for February so I called to inquire again it's said it was paid make long story short I did not get my premium bill statement for March either,so zI call to inquire and it was told to me that my insurance with Ambetter was canceled because March was not paid.I told them why would I write out a check ,because starting out I was paying 112.43 then the last two months of 2022one months was 10/25/22 for the amount of 88.67 ,the last check wrote was 12/22/22 for the amount of 72.22 at least that the amount the premium bill had.Now I had contacted Market place a number of time because they have on my form 1095-A wrong ,they claimed they was going to fixed it but zI have not yet heard from. them and my taxes can be filed without it.The marketplace to me it would take 24 to 48 hours it's been a month or longer..It's sad that this place is supposed to help but seems like they are getting over on the clients.I really need to get my taxes done and I have mentioned this to them a d I was assured they were going to get it straightened out but nothing.The credit amount for January, February and March these months were not paid.I didn't even used these moths.Initial Complaint
