I have filed a complaint with Florida Department Of Health and with Attorney General Office in Florida against Humana for putting my health at risk , issues with customer service, issues with them removing my care manager, issues with no food spending account and card not working and no benefits for 2 months , issues with doctors and grievances not being handled. Doctors at inhealth and chen medical not provided medical or medications nor appts for bone density test and colonoscopy test and galcomuma doctor for my eyes , there Humana center in Pembroke Pines Florida refused to assist me says they closing office . Also Humana fraud continues for 3yrs with my information for dental , medical etc and insurance. Description of two complaints: 1st…
I am a policy holder of Humana choice (PPO) with Dental insurance and I
need a dental procedure to save a small tooth #5 on the upper right. Everything is covered under my dental policy 100% in or out of network for this procedure. However, Humana
representative administration team refuse to cover the D2950 (Core buildup, including any pins
when required), as they noted to me, the core is not needed for this procedure. I have made several phones calls and there was discussions with the management team and my dental office.
Humana also claims they needed a narrative from my dentist. *** ******** *********, at ******** ****** **** ** ****** **** *** ********* ** ***** ***** ******** and it was submitted to the insurance company
on 05/01/2024. I uploaded all this information for your review. Humana still won't
cover this dental procedure.
Per several calls to Humana Dental ***************, and speaking to several associates and
managers in the past outlining the policy provisions, they still refuse to cover this core
procedure. The core is very relative to secure the crown to the tooth.
Moreover, there is no exclusions for the D2950 core and the dental policy documents does
not require a written procedures from my dentist to utilize my dental coverage.
My dental office (***** spoke to **** at Humana at ************** and
was given a reference number #*************. Still didn’t get approval after
a few weeks.
In my opinion, Humana dental coverage policy is
under false pretenses and unlawful practices. Clients assume
they are covered under their policy but, in this case,
Humana doesn't want to insure coverage for this dental procedure.
I could lose this tooth if it cracks then thereof an implant expense will
become a civil liability case against the insurance company.
Humana needs to follow their own policy rules and the coverage clients are entitled.

This company is the provider for the OTC portion of my Medicare Health plan with Humana. The company has been shipping substandard products and refuse to replace or credit. I have had that experience with them in the past. The incontinence pads are NOT to size and the strips in the last 4 packs ordered were all bent over on the underside. They are also always out of very important products such as the disinfectant wipes which are very important in this time of COVID. They are also out of cleansing cloths which certain age people use and they have totally stopped supplying peroxide and other critical products. A complete rip off.Business Response

I am a Humana ******* ******** member and also an *********. This program is for low income *********s to have affordable healthcare. As of April 1st, 2024 the effective date of insurance they introduced a program for members to obtain gift cards for various amounts to select businesses. Members were asked to complete a health risk screening within 30 days of enrollment to receive a $50 reward in the form of one of these gift cards. When they did so they were not immediately rewarded like they were with other smaller gift cards. When members contacted Humana about the problem they were informed that their was a “glitch” in the system where only *********s were concerned, which would be repaired by first estimated May 31st and then later estimated Jun31st. It is seeming Humana has no interest in speedily fixing this issue and is only waiting on the “must complete within 30 days of enrollment” clock to run down, so they may cheat *********s out of a reward they promised by an error they caused.Business Response

Humana refuses to stop harassing me via phone calls & mailed letters. This has been ongoing since February 1, 2024
I was receiving up to 4 phone calls per day non-stop for months.
They want me to use a Humana Caregiver, which I don’t want to do.
I’ve informed Humana 3 separate times that I am opting out of their Caregiver Program.
On this last phone call I asked the callers name, she said Deshia. I again said please stop calling I have opted out. The call stopped for three days then they started back up two days ago. They are calling every single day and this is harassment now.Business Response

Hearing Aid Scam. I joined Humana Advantage primarily to obtain hearing aid coverage. However, because Humana just told me that I am restricted using their high-dollar/extremely high profit providers, without any other options, the bottom line is that I am better off without Humana's so called "coverage" at all. . .
In other words, the bottom line is that I can go to Costco, or similar and pay LESS out of pocket for the same hearing aids . . . !!!
At minimum Humana needs to provide some type of "out of network" (out of the good ole boy click) reimbursement.
Very disappointed with Humana; I am very sorry for people who are not informed, some seniors are probably be paying the price for this so called coverageBusiness Response

I was admitted to ** ******* ******** on 4/26/2024 for ER treatment of severe colon infection
high fever and 1600 white blood count. Was denied payment for hospitalization by Humana
Health Insurance. Member **********, reference no ********** ** ******* ******* ******
in Midlothian, Va. Insurance Carrer denied on the basis that medical record from ER doctor
did not support hospitalization which is ridiculous because the ER doctor Nguyen informed me
that I was very ill and could not leave the hospital. I want this investigated by Corporate
as to the denial and why they did not contact the ER directly for the proper information and
medical records. I will file a law suit if they do not cover the $17,000 insurance invoice as soon as possible. I want Corporate to be aware of what they are doing since I am a cancer patient as well with prostate cancer. This is not acceptable this is why I have health insurance.Business Response

My Name is ****** ****** and me and my two children had Humana Healthy horizons. We successfully signed up for the Go365 app to earn rewards that we are entilited as long as we complete and do our diligence. This health insurance is refusing to hold their end of the bargain and blame the app for a glitch and advise we had to wait by May 31st I spoke to someone who was kinds enough mid April who added my rewards manually and helped me add my kids since that was also a glitch they failed to support and fix if it wasn’t for am 1 kinda soul called April’s 24th and spoke to ******** and ****** who confirmed I did the assement and advised by May31st I advise I will call them mid May to follow up . Today is May 13th the $50 dollars now removed from the activity refused to show complete however I have proof I did it 10 times in April. Now the lady says it’s no longer the end of May but by the end of June. This is a scam and this health insurance is refusing to add rewards I am enitled to and followed protocol. I asked what happens when. June comes? Your going to just say July. august , October Huh what December for a Christmas gift. I have emailed Thurber communications and also contact my news station to get this sorted and won’t stop until this insurance company obeys their contract and policy and gives my 2 $50 dollars we earned .
