    American Trash Services charged my checking account without approval on 2 occasions, in a 2 month span. They have not performed services in 8 weeks. I asked for a refund On 4/14/24, after I saw that they charged my checking account. After looking closer they had also charged me the same amount the previous month, so I have been charged for a total of $457.60 ($228.80 on 3/4/24 and an additional $228.80 on 4/12/24). After multiple attempts at contacting them and no replies and the phone number goes to a screeching tone and hangs up, I escalated this to my bank to dispute the charges as well. They are going to attempt to get a refund as well.

    American Trash Service is supposed to pick up trash every Thursday at my home. For the past four weeks, they have failed to pick up my trash due to their failure to renew their business permit. This is the second time that this has occurred during my contract with them, the last occurrence being in March 2023, where services were not provided for 3 months. During my time paying for their services (starting December 2022-current), I have been billed on 3 separate occasions for annual renewal, none of which were authorized by my household (billed 12/6/2022, 6/23/2023, 10/13/2023, each charge being $228.80) On the date of the first billing, I had simply requested pricing on monthly and annual billing, and was automatically charged for the annual price without my consent. Any time I reach out regarding the lack of services provided, they ignore calls and disregard voicemails. In June 2023, after commenting on multiple ******** posts, they finally called me and offered to extend my membership for a second year since I had been charged for two annual services in 6 months time. In September 2023, I received a letter in my trash can (with no address and no postage) asking me to call and update my billing information, or they would put a hold on my service. In October 2023, they wrote me a check for the third time I was charged. I have been more than willing to work with them and simply feel that they are not providing the services that were agreed upon and I have been extremely overcharged for services that have not been provided. Their failure to respond to my requests and concerns proves that they do not value their customers.

    I'm writing this on behalf of my mother, ***** ****** who contracted with American Trash Service for residential trash removal about a year ago. (She is 87 years old, recently widowed, and lives on her own). She (and her husband/my dad) contracted with ATS starting last June and are paying monthly by credit card. The contract is for one year (ending this June). For the last four weeks there has been no trash pick up. Attempts to contact ATS (by multiple family members) have been unsuccessful. Multiple phone messages have been left and no messages have been returned. There has been no information sent out from ATS about this stoppage of service, and yet they are continuing to charge credit cards. From some quick internet searches, in reports from the local paper and TV news station, it appears that there is something going on with their business permit with the state. and while I understand that that can be stressful for (what I'm given to understand) is a small privately owned business. The complete lack of communication is highly problematic. I have called three times now and expressed concerned about the lack of trash removal, and stating that we wish to make sure that the contract is completely and totally terminated in June, and that they find a time to come and remove their trash hopper (according to the contract, my parents could continue to get charged monthly, if my parents "keep" ATS's trash recepticle.) Therefore we would like for them to remove it as soon as possible... but again, they are not responding to messages. At this point, our desired outcome is termination of the current contract (as they have breached it by not providing service for a month now), a refund for charges for April, promise of no charge for the rest of the terminated contract, and removal of their trash can.

    The American Trash Service in Mayfield Ky doubled charged me for the annual fee. I was charged $228.80 in January 2023 and then again March 2nd 2024. I have called three times and left a voice mail to the company asking to resolve the issue. The local paper recently did an article regarding numerous complaints regarding the same issue. The trash is also not being picked up, for two weeks in a row. This has happened at least one other time since within the last year and trash was not picked up for several weeks due to business license issues.

    paid the businee $228.80 in september for a year of service through a credit card. they proceeded to take the same ampumnt out on De. 14,2023 for the same amount. Contacted them on Feb. 8 about it. Said they would credit my card back for the amount from Dec. 14. when i got my credit card statement a few days ago they had charged the amount again instead of crediting. contacted them about it on the 27th of march. said they would call me back the next day. Have tried to call them back several times since. They have not answered the calls nor have they returned the calls

    This business has taken money they were not authorized to take. This is the second time this has happened to me. I pay my bill with my credit card yearly in September. They charged me again in February. After several attempts to get ahold of them via phone I finally connected with someone. They stated that the money was put back on my card. After 5 weeks, I still do not have my money back and no one will return my calls.

    I have been with this company for about 2 years, never had any issues with them.. besides they didn't pick up trash for a few months due to licensing issues. I never saw any credits on my account b/c of that, but it's a small local business, so I wasn't too bothered. Until they took out $228.80 on January 11th, with no warning. Our fee wasn't due until April, so that was a surprise. She explained they changed their billing cycle, so I left it at that. I called and she told me they removed my card from their records and they would text me when we owed money. Surprise, just last Wednesday, 3/13 they took out $230 from my account. She argued that her records showed we were due, i screenshot the last payment and sent. I changed my card number and she was going to send me a check. I received a text that they "reversed the charge on the card they took the money out of' AFTER we talked and I told them that card was turned off. I hate to think they are stealing money on purpose, but I also hate to think this is how they really do their business.. poor record keeping, and terrible customer service. I still have yet to hear back, and to have my money returned.

    Canceled service in October 2023 was billed 1/11/2024 for another year. This is the second time my credit card has been charged more than once a year for thier service. Was charged 3 times one month for over 700 dollars.
