    Service with American Trash started in 1/26/23 in which I was charged for a yearly service of $244.40. My credit card was charged again on 08/03/23 for $228.80 for another yearly service. My credit card was then charged again on 9/25/23 for $ 220.00. Attempts to contact American Trash has not resulted in any return phone calls.

    I chose American Trash company for my trash service. I have 1 can and put it out weekly. They do pick up the trash but have been billing for more than was discussed. I was told they would bill every other month. I have been billed the following - August 3 $88.40, Sept 26 $67.59, October 26 $72.80, November 1 $72.80, November 17 $72.80 and December 4 $220. Our local TV station, WPSD, has recently had a story that this is happening to other customers. I have called several times and gotten no response. I was even going to go to their office but the address listed is a private home in Mayfield, Ky and I am not comfortable going there.

    I canceled my service with American Trash in March, 2023. I was concerned about their lack of communication and inability to reach them when needed. Often I would go weeks with no service and they wouldn’t respond. I did not have automatic payment for the simple fact I didn’t trust them and my check was due to them April 4. I canceled March 22, 2023. This morning (July 14, 2023) they automatically took 208.00 from my account. When I called my bank they said the business wasn’t on my automatic payment list but they had manually went in and took the money! That is theft! I called the business and as usual they didn’t answer. I have left them fb messages that they haven’t read. I’m a 62 year old working woman who is upset that they feel they can just take money from! I have not had trash service from them in 4 months! I cannot even get them to pick up their can!

    In October 2022 I paid for one year of trash service. In late December 2022 our local government shut the business down because they failed to have a proper business license. I waited five weeks with no trash pickup while the tried to sort it out. I notified them January 30 that I needed to cancel. My family of six could go no longer without trash pickup. For four months they claimed to be too busy to come pick up their can. They refused to refund the 9 months of service they did not provide that was prepaid until the can was picked up. I was told May 11 they would refund the money. They picked up my can that day. Now they will not return a message. I have written documentation of all correspondence with them to support this claim.

    I contacted this business to use their trash service in June of 2022. I paid for 1 year of service. It took them almost 2 months to get a can delivered to my residence and the owner's mother stated my service would be noted to start for billing purposes in September. Service stopped by the business the last week of December 2022 due to permit issues and persisted through the first half of February 2023. I started calling to cancel the service and receive a refund in Feb. 2023 once they resumed business. They did not answer any calls, return messages, or return Facebook messages. Additionally, they set up my account incorrectly to where I am billed the yearly amount of $208 every quarter instead of yearly. They again do not answer calls, messages, or social media contact to process due refunds. I have had to have my bank put a vendor block on them so they cannot continue to charge fraudulently every quarter, and I have had to dispute every charge from them through my bank rather than them properly issue refunds. They will not answer the phone to confirm service is cancelled and pick up their can from my property. Their Facebook comments are turned off, their business information including current address for the cans to be dropped off is hidden.

    They charged my card on January 4, 2023 for a year of service. I am paid up until July 2023. I called and they told me they would reverse the charge. After waiting almost two weeks to get refunded I called back and ended up getting refunded by check. When I took the check to my bank they told me it should’ve only taken one business day to get the reverse payment. On March 30, 2023 I got charged again $200 for the yearly service. I’m still paid up until July. I called and they said they would reverse the charge and I have not got it. I have called and they will not answer and have left a message without a call back. I have Facebook messaged twice and no response. Now when I call now I don’t even have the option to leave a message and they won’t answer my calls. My daughter called and they answered her and they told her I would get my money back soon. My s/o is disabled and we have limited income. I told them this. I missed my uncle’s funeral because of the first time and couldn’t afford a remembrance paw print of my daughter’s dog who passed away from old age because we didn’t have the money. The second time we couldn’t afford my disabled s/o medication. They did say I will not have to pay until January 2024.

    I filed a complaint on American trash service and it has been resolved. They are still receiving letters from y’all and have replied to them. They called me to double check and make sure it was resolved. I only got a temporary number for my complaint.

    In May 2022, I called American Trash to start services with them. I paid $208 for an entire year of service. It took them 6 weeks to deliver my trash can. Once delivered, it took them another 2 weeks to actually pick up my trash. I was told by them that they could not locate me with GPS. Really?? They delivered my trash can!! In September, my debit card was charged another $208. It took a month of me calling every week, sending messages on ******** messenger and finally threatening to call an attorney for them to finally bring a check to my house in the amount of $208. It was constant promises of being in my bank account, going to bring it by, the person picking up the trash would bring it, out due to sickness, etc. It was ridiculous!! Now that they had finally been picking up my trash regularly and seemed to have no issues, it has come to a screeching halt due to the fact that they do not have a permit to even be picking up trash in our county. They had known about this when I called asking for service and had 10 months to fix it and did not do so. Now, they want me to bring my trash to a dumpster they are "providing" at a location that is owned by them. I don't have a truck to take my trash to their dumpster nor do I want to put sticky trash in my car and take it to their dumpster. They have blocked me on ******** because of my comments complaining about no trash pickup. I would like a refund of $104 which is half of what I paid for a year's service of which I have only received 5 months of service.

    My initial thoughts were I would just ask American Trash Service to refund half my year of service. and switch to a new service. I went to my credit card statement to confirm the price I had paid only to discover that they had charged me twice. No way that happened accidentally. I agreed to pay 220 on July 27th of 2022 for a year of trash service. On that day they manually keyed in the charge twice and I did not catch it until today. I was already upset that I have had no trash service since Dec. 31st and going on 4 weeks without trash pickup is unacceptable. To me, that is a breech of service but then to find that I had been charged twice and then read at the BBB website that others have been charged fraudulently and had trouble getting refunds. I don't want other customers to continue to fall prey to reckless billing practices. I would like an immediate refund of 330 dollars and cancellation of my service with them.

    Trash service isn’t keeping up their end of their business by being late on pick up. I just paid for a years worth of trash pickup I have been trying to cancel my service for 3 weeks now but they won’t answer or return my calls or my messages on their ******** page. They did however return my message when they thought I was a new customer. All I want is for them to return what is left of my yearly rate not used and to come get their can from my house. They missed a week of service and totally ghosted everyone except when I acted like a new customer. They were quick to answer then

    First called for service on 6/17/2022 paid for a full year of service payment cleared bank 6/21/2022. Called the company numerous times and they made a promise to refund $230.00 no refund was issued. Now they will not return calls.
