      I have tried several times speaking with the manager to get a situation resolved to no avail. The manager constantly states she will call me back but will not. She has lied several times about policy and procedures. She will not give me straight answers nor will she help me resolve my issue. I need someone to help me resolve my issues not create more.

      Upon receiving her complaint, Republic Finance immediately investigated the statements made therein. Additionally, Republic Finance's Regional Vice President discussed the matter in detail on August 5, 2022, and reached a mutually agreeable resolution, with the Consumer on August 5, 2022. Republic Finance mailed a letter under separate cover to the Consumer on August 16, 2022 regarding the resolution. Republic Finance and the Consumer consider this matter satisfactorily resolved.

      I borrowed $3000 on a 36 month payback plan. I paid $6000. The interest rate is never ending. How can a payment be on the 5th and the interest is already continued. This is robbery!

      Transactions from 02/04/2021-07/06/2022 (more future payments as well)
      I acquired an installment loan from Republic Finance in the amount of $3,043.62. I have made a total of 17 payments in the amount of $170.00 (the original minimum payment was on $165.00). I went into my local branch in Rockmart, GA to receive a breakdown of my payments and how they were applied. Firstly, the schedule was not precise enough. I had to call back and get further clarification from a representative. She was nice enough to tell me that the extra 5.00 a month was being applied to principal, but I wanted to actually SEE if broken down for my own records. Additionally, I asked how much I would have to pay in order to close the loan, she advised $1,689.26. I have already paid $2,890.00 in payments. If I do the math correctly, I would only need to pay $153.62 to pay back what I borrowed.

      Hopefully, you all are willing to settle this account. I am willing to pay 200.00 to close the account. Not only did you receive the money back that you loaned, you will receive interest as well. Please consider or contact me to discuss alternative measures. Also, I have not ever been late with payment. You have lost a client due to your insane interest rates. Now that I have improved my credit tremendously, I will no longer seek out companies who take advantage.

      This is in no way your fault for being predatory, but my judgement. I just would like you all to reconsider how you do financial interest, especially if you do not run into issues with customer who pay on time or a little more.

      *** and ***** ******. Before i state anything I would like to let it be known the ladies that work in the local office in Columbus Ms were more than nice to us. What Republic did to us was more than un moral. We talked to a guy at there regional office which did nothing but lie about calling us back and state rules. I have paid off many loans to republic and this loan even came about cause we has just paid off the previous loan. They repossessed our vehicle way too soon. I was sick and missed work. We were 2 payments behind then a 3rd came due. We paid one of the payments and they repoed a week later. Talked to the ride man at the regional guy said they have the rite to repo after 2 weeks late if they chose. I do not think its fair ethical or moral to repo on someone that was clearly trying to make an effort. Ecspecially a 16 year customer who has paid off many loans on time. This was my first tome to get that behind on those 16 years. I do not think its fair to further hurt us on our credit report when the repo should not have been done in the first place. I think the regional guys name was Rodney but not sure. We for behind with ally financial all the same and they said it was 90 days before then even thought about a repo. To take someones $450 payment and still repo a week later is as unethical as it gets.

As a part of its investigation, Republic Finance's Regional Vice President ("RVP") attempted to contact the Consumer to discuss this matter, and to reach a mutually agreeable resolution, with the Consumer on numerous occasions. Specifically, Republic Finance's RVP attempted to reach the Consumer by telephone to discuss this matter on July 27, 2022, and August 8, 2022, but was unsuccessful in his attempts. Republic Finance mailed a letter on August 8, 2022 to the Consumer requesting that he return our calls to discuss this matter in detail. As of the date of this response, the Consumer has not contacted Republic Finance.

      I have had collection from Republic finance which mailer are received in a very desperate, financial hardship. It was my only recourse at the time to try to pay for my utilities before they were going to be cut off. I did not know that the interest rate was so high for this much higher than anything I had ever seen. The payments and the length of time that would be required to pay this off would not be something I'd be able to do. An attorney is told me that this is a predatory loan.
