      I just got a loan with Republic Finance , and 1st payment was 11/17/22. I thought it would be idea to pay off a couple credit cards. I wanted to setup auto payments and it stated I could after I make my first payment. I made the payment on-time (10/29/2022) and then setup auto payments for the 17th of the month. On December 15 I receive a call (payment due on the 17th), I return the call and I'm told that I setup my payments to start in January and not December. (now why would I do this). I made a payment online and thought nothing else of it, then on the 17th another payment went through my account. I contacted the office on Monday 12/19/2022 and was basically told this was my own fault, that I change the start date to 12/17/2022 in the system when I made the payment. (again why would I do that if I'm making the payment). Very poor customer service as the asst. manager kept trying to hush me to explain basically that I did something that I didn't. I explained that something told me not to take the loan from this company and I should have listen to my gut because it's not like it was an urgent need for me. I told him I would be paying off the loan completely when I file my taxes and never deal with them again. I wouldn't refer them to anyone and I wish I would have checked here and saw the 1 start rating beforehand.

      Monday November 29th I went in to Republic Finance to pay a bill. I was greeted by Consumer Loan Specialist ******* *****. I made it aware that I was in to make a payment on my loan with Republic Finance. Ms. ******* ***** responded to me ( Why don’t you answer your phone Mr. ******? I’ve been trying to call for 3 months.) I responded please don’t preach to me. It was very unprofessional. Her Co-Workers laughed and the Manager on duty left the building at the time. So I was told by Ms. ***** to come back in at the 1st of December to discuss missing a payment for December to help with holiday financing. I return this evening December 1st to talk to Ms. ***** about missing a payment for December. She acted like she didn’t know who I was at first. She asked me to have a seat. When she finally got to me she made another comment about me not answering my phone when she call me about late payments. Finally she let me knew she couldn’t help me with the miss payment option unless I borrowed more money from Republic Finance. I told her that she didn’t say anything about this on Monday November 29th. I told her sorry for wasting her time. As I’m leaving out Ms. ***** responded (AND PICK UP YOUR PHONE NEXT TIME O CALL). By this time I’m upset with her. So I told her that they were misleading to me and she has wasted my time. By this time Ms. *****’s Manager (******** ****** is standing behind her with her hands on her hips staring at me.) Ms. ****** tell me that she has heard enough and I can leave her store. I reply she don’t know the situation. Ms. ******( BRANCH MANAGER) tells me she believe her girls. I leave the store. I get to my car and decide that I’m going to make another payment on my account to hurry and get this company paid off. So I enter the store once again to make another payment on my account. As I make my payment I ask the Branch Manager her full name. She says ******** ****** let me give you two cards in case you loose one. Manager very unprofessional.

      This company is a predatory lender and the staff do not know how to resolve payoff issues. Sent a cashier's check to pay off loan by way of certified mail. The check included a 10-day accrued interest rate. Check was sent certified mail and arrived at their branch office within 4 days. Spoke with representatives on several occasions, faxed copy of check/Post Office receipts (to include date/time/location) and narrative of the dates/times/names of representatives I communicated with. From the 10th of November until this date this problem has not been resolved. They are denying that the payment was received .

      Republic Finance is AWAFUL!!!! They sent my loan to a lawyer anyway after I told them I had covid and got laid off work however I still struggled to pay them with my unemployment checks. The lawyer nor the company can tell me my balance that I owe. They constantly give me the run around I don't know if the payments I've made have been credit to my loan so frustrated!!!!!

      I’ve been making payments due to having financial hardships and spoke with someone in the office about setting up arrangements. Signed online to make a payment and couldn’t. Called the number on the account and made a payment. Next day I was served with papers. Worst company ever. I wish i would have read reviews before i applied for this loan. I will fight this with my lawyer.

      I completed an application on their website and was rejected. Shortly after I received a phone call from a man who said he was from Republic Finance and that he received my application. He said he wanted to let me know there was another loan option I qualified for. It seemed legit but turned out to be a scam. Wells Fargo security alerted me when they tried to make a fake deposit and when they logged into my online account and added their fingerprint to my biometrics. Very tricky scammers using Republic Finance as their cover. The calls originated from Florida. I live in Texas. I applied on our local branches website. BEWARE!!!

      This is the absolute WORST of the WORST! Even if you attempt to make arrangements due to financial hardship they will still send you to collection attorney's after 90 days and even if you've paid on time for months you will end up owing twice as much as you originally borrowed and your credit will be RUINED. They will call and harass you at your place of employment, leave you nasty threatening messages and degrade you. As if life isn't hard enough right now! If I could give them negative stars I would! What an absolute nightmare! If I could go back in time I would run like I was on fire!

      THEY WILL RUIN YOUR CREDIT AND YOUR LIFE! I refinanced my car thru them and made my payments every month. i was hit by another driver, Republic Finance took the $10,000 check for my totaled car and would not let me borrow money for a down payment to get another vehicle so that I could get caught back up on medical bills from Covid and a medical problem that caused me to get behind but I was not behind one payment for Republic . This is a horrible company
