    I absolutely hate that they increase the monthly price at least once a year. It's very aggravating because nothing about my system is being upgraded!! And my system is constantly saying that several of the sensors have errors, even after replacing the batteries. I'm very annoyed and about to get rid of it all.

    Ive been a SimpliSafe user relying on their original outdoor cameras and monitoring services for home security. Recently, after upgrading to the Core monitoring plan, I was shocked to find that the two-way audio (microphone/talk) feature on my original outdoor cameras was silently removed and now only works with their newer Outdoor Camera Series 2 on higher-tier Pro plans.This crucial change was never communicated to me before or during the upgrade. Because of this, during a real security incident at my home, I was unable to use the two-way audio to communicate through the outdoor camera when an unknown person was pressuring my wife at our front door. This communication failure created a serious safety risk and undermined the core purpose of having this security system.SimpliSafes lack of transparency on this significant feature removal is deeply disappointing. While emergency dispatch and video monitoring still work on the Core plan, the loss of two-way talk on existing hardware feels like an unfair paywall and hardware lock-in that compromises user safety and trust.I urge potential customers to carefully consider this before upgrading and recommend that SimpliSafe improve disclosure and customer communication around critical feature changes that impact security.

    was charged $18. for no reason, called billing was told they did not why I was charged that amount and the money would be refunded three weeks later still no refund service person sent me email stating refund was on its way ***************************************************************************** back later that day with anser to where my refund was, never called, had to cancel my card and get a new one will not renew with simply safe

    Turns out after spending hundreds ($600+) for the system and cameras, you have to pay a monthly subscription FOR THE CAMERAS TO RECORD. Customer support seemed like they couldnt care less. Disappointed is an understatement.

    Do Not Buy This Product Please Read! It Wastes Your Time and Money!We bought a SimpliSafe monitoring system when we moved into our new house, based on the Simple advertisements we saw on TV. The system worked fine at first, but then started having issues. After a lot of back and forth with customer service, the initial problems were eventually resolved.Then we purchased the doorbell, which is definitely a piece of junk. First, it was extremely difficult to install because scanning the barcode was nearly impossible. Once we finally got it installed, it constantly lost connection and failed to record videos.We were told by SimpliSafe that we needed a WiFi booster to improve the connection. So, we spent even more money on a WiFi booster and installed it just a few feet away from the doorbell inside the house. The problem improved slightly but was still unreliable. Sometimes it detected motion; other times it didnt.We spent countless hours on the phone with multiple customer support agents, none of whom were able to fix the issue. Eventually, they sent us a replacementonly for us to discover it was a refurbished unit (seriously?). Unsurprisingly, it still didnt work.The final customer support person escalated the case to higher-level support. He had us check a few settings and told us he would monitor the doorbells performance for a week and then follow up with a call. Of course, there was no call.We have finally given up and will be switching to a different brand.

    After over five years and more than $8,000 spent across two homes, our experience with SimpliSafe ended on a truly disappointing note.During a move from the East to the **********, we forgot to cancel our subscription understandable amid the chaos of relocating. The system sat unplugged and unused for several months, yet we were still charged. When we noticed and contacted support to request a refund for the unused time, the response was a flat, unsympathetic *****'s disheartening that a brand we trusted for home security couldn't extend a basic courtesy to a long-term customer. We weren't asking for anything extraordinary-just a fair gesture given our history with the company. That lack of flexibility and care has eroded our confidence in SimpliSafe.We hope they reflect on how they treat loyal customers, because as of now, we won't be returning.

    Ive had the outdoor security package for a solid 2 weeks and will be returning it promptly in the morning. Its hard to belive that not a single car, human, or animal hasn't walked by my house in 2 days..ME INCLUED. I stood in front of my " motion detecting camera " and it did nothing, then disconnected from the base. If I wanted a dummy system just to deture the not so brave, harbor freight has a pretty cheap mock up. SIMPLINOTSOSAFE IS AS BAD AS ROKU AND I DIDNT THINK THAT WAS POSSIBLE. GARBAGE. I won't be trying to trouble shoot with a representative because if something were to actually happen, I dont have time to trouble shoot it live action. Quality in everything is garbage anymore. Despicable.

    I purchased a full security system from ********** several months ago, and my experience has been incredibly frustrating. Within the first month, I had to reach out to customer service over ten times due to inconsistent functionality of my base station. Ultimately, I returned the system. After this, I contacted them to end my subscription, yet they refused to refund me for a service that was essentially unusable due to persistent issues.Furthermore, I've submitted a request to delete my account and data four times, and despite their promise to reach out after filling out that form, I've received no response. I have confirmed my identity multiple times, yet they continue to ignore my requests. It is unacceptable that they are withholding my data.Recently, I was shocked to find that they charged me for the subscription service again! When I called their representative center, I was informed that the last agent simply placed my subscription on hold, even after I clearly stated that I no longer possess a SimplySafe system. This level of service is outrageous, and I demand immediate action to resolve these issues.

    I had a Simplisafe system installed in December 2023. Today, June 19, 2025, I find out the motion sensors were installed incorrectly. The company does not have a complaint process and a way to escalate matters like this. I was then transferred to a third party call center in ********* to have an appointment set to resolve it. It was $159 prepaid; this is elder abuse.I spent over an hour on the phone with the Simplisafe tech team to troubleshoot the matter and then transferred and placed on hold for another 30 minutes to schedule an appointment. Simplisafe needs to take some accountability for their products. They also need a simple process to address filing a complaint. I have gone on their website and called customer service with no assistance on how to escalate this matter.
