    Cheap hardware and horrific customer service.They just give you the run around over and over again and do everything in their power to avoid sending replacement ************ get what you pay for and I will never make this mistake again with my security system.

    The system is trash. Im home openining and closing doors door for hours before i realize my alarm never went off and i never disarmed it. So i called to cancel, and they offered a whole new system, sensors and everything, plus 4 free months of service. I was happy with that, and that's why theyre getting 2 stars instead of one. Installed the new system, same problem. Walked in the front door, slarm never stayed counting down. Tried to disarm it anyway and the keypad said it's out of range. Its 15ft away from the base station and hasn't moved since setup. Went upstairs to write a review and suddenly the alarm started counting down out of nowhere. GARBAGE.

    I am on my second solar panel. It is installed on a south facing wall in sunny *** yet my camera is inactive at least once a week and I am required to take the camera inside and fully charge it which leaves my house unmonitored. The solar panel is supposed to keep the camera charged, but even with many more than the required 3 hours of sun, it does not work. Simplisafe refuses to refund my money even though their product doesn't work.

    If I could leave a zero star review, I would. I called and cancelled my subscription in May after moving out and renting for the foreseeable future. Somehow, they took that as consent to only pause the subscription for 3 months and have been charging me for the last 9 months even though I have no base station, cameras, or sensors connected to the internet. When I explained this to the representative, they made no effort to correct the situation and now Ive made 9 months of payments for a subscription I did not restart.

    Refused to honor warranty on doorbell camera. Ask me to hire an electrician to check voltage even when I shared with them that the camera does not work even when I plug it on the charger in the house.

    Very misleading service. They offer a "free" trial that immediately kicks into a full $34 subscription without clear communication. They also took credit card information somehow despite not having provided it. Their customer service people are condescending and cut you off when asking questions. You cannot remove credit card info from app, and you can't cancel without having to go through their phone service. Not a trustworthy company.

    Be wary of the trial offers. They solicited a free trial offer on my self monitoring plan to full monitoring. I called (and they confirmed that I had called) and cancelled the trial nearly 2 months before the trial ended. I find a billing for the monitoring plan at the end of the free trial. They tell me that I would not get a refund and refused to transfer my call to a supervisor. Very sketchy operation. Be extremely cautious doing business with this company.

    *** was very argumentative. I advised him of the issues I was having with my system and what troubleshooting I have already done. He dont want to listen and just wanted me to repeat what I have already done. He had a simple answer of the camera was updating but when I advised him the camera goes out multiple times a day he didnt listen. Per his words the camera updates once every two-three months and that what makes it go out. I tried to get him to explain to me why it does it everyday then. He has no explanation. The he advised me that the update would only last 15 mins. I was on the phone with him for 25 mins. Reset the camera and it was still out. That when he wanted to argue. I really hate that I paid and am paying for something that doesnt work.

    I had a house fire on 4-23-2025. The fire department was called, but not EMS, even though my account is flagged for a non-mobile, Alzheimer's elderly person. The police followed me speeding home, detained me in my car, and would not allow me to save my mother, who was in the house. It took another 13 minutes before another officer opened the door and confirmed the fire. Why didn't Simplisafe tell emergency services that smoke was detected in the house? Why didn't they request an ambulance, as is noted on my account? I put her in my car, gasping, and rushed her in respiratory distress to the hospital a couple of miles away. Then all the video proof of the incident disappeared and they couldn't explain it. Simplisafe is ok if you want people to know you have a system, but to save anyone from a true emergency it is c*** You are outsourced to the ***********, and they couldn't care less if Americans live or die. Save your family and buy another system. I wanted to leave no stars.
