      I had a disaster occur in my home and filed a claim with Liberty Mutual. I also inadvertently hired a restoration contractor that apparently wasn't on their list of preferred service providers. Instead of demonstrating any sensitivity or compassion for my situation the claims adjuster wasted time contacting 3 other restoration companies to come out and provide a second opinion even though the work to get my house back into livable condition was already under way. The way Liberty Mutual behaves toward their customers is absolutely atrocious and its obvious they've completely lost sight of the fact that the primary reason why they are in business is to help people in need. It's also amazing to me that Liberty Mutual invests millions into advertising on television and doesn't want to help customers when they need assistance. It's disgusting that they're so insensitive and out of touch with what should be their primary purpose for existing as a business. That primary purpose should be helping people in need.

      What makes my particular case even more interesting is the full understanding of what caused the flooding to occur was only discovered two days ago. The fact the decision was made to deny the claim 10 days ago appears to confirm that it was made prematurely and in a manner that is yet another clear indicator of the relative incompetence of the person assigned to review the claim. Liberty Mutual apparently has very low standards to meet with their hiring practices. It also seems likely that given the timing of the discovery bringing this incident in front of an impartial advocate to rule on what appears to be corporate malfeasance would likely not end well for Liberty Mutual.

      I will never recommend Liberty Mutual to anyone needing insurance. I wish I could give them a zero star or negative stars but unfortunately, I can't. I have Liberty Mutual for a few years now. I had to trade one of my vehicles in and added a newer vehicle to the policy. They tripled my premium. I called yesterday and cancelled my policy since I found a different company that was 1/2 have of what Liberty Mutual is charging. I was told by a representative that I don't owe anything. I then received an email stating I have a bill. I looked at the bill and it is for $800. They should owe me money. I called and tried to speak to a resolution specialist in which he stated he was speaking with accounting (which closes at 5pm and I called at 6:10pm). He came back on the phone and told me that the state of NC charges an early cancellation fee. I had 2 other companies when I moved here from ** and they did charge anything to cancel. I googled what he told me and ** doesn't charge an early cancellation fee. I will be calling corporate office directly before I contact a lawyer to get this resolved. This company should be put out of business just based off of all of the negative reviews.

      Our vehicles were both stolen. One was recovered the same day. From day one of our claim/claims the process has been awful. The first promise of a ************* of our recovered vehicle NEVER happened. Since it was drivable and it seemed it would NEVER get towed we drove to a local shop for repairs. As was typical of our experience the shop also had trouble and was repeatedly given false information from Liberty Mutual. After a weeks delay because of inaction by LM we finally got the repairs done and paid for them less the deductible. The promise of payment to the shop never happened. The 2nd vehicle was recovered on 8/2. Since then its been delay, mislead, misinform and total in action to the point we still do not have our vehicle at the shop to be repaired. It is now 8/23. We are again calling to complain with the very distinct possibility LIBERTY MUTUAL will not follow through.

      Liberty Mutual is the worst company. I would give them negative stars if I could. Terrible customer service and very greedy.I stayed with them until this past April, when they increased my MONTHLY rate from$550 to $617. For home, auto and personal liability. I had had enough. Tried contacting them by phone, email, worthless agent in Peoria, *****. When you say, cancel policy into phone to direct you to proper department, automated lady says, I dont recognize that and hangs up.The only claim I tried to make several years ago was when a tree branch fell on a neighbors car parked on my property, and LM said, sorry, thats an act of God. What?!Ive given them thousands of dollars over the years.The only way they couldnt take anymore money from me was to cancel my automatic payments through my bank, so now they have sent me to a collection agency. For 11 days for NO service, they are charging me $222. Take ostrich and **** and shove it. You probably dont pay the actor who plays ****, knowing how you treat people.A+ rating is bogus. Customer reviews need to be included for complete picture of how this company or any company for that matter should be rated.

      This insurance company LIBERTY MUTUAL/SAFECO is the worst I've been waiting since 8-4-22 for my agent that's handling the claim to contact me it is now the 23rd of August and I still haven't heard anything I was bounced back and forth on the phone yesterday just trying to see status of claim this is ridiculous all the hoops you have to jump through to get information on your claim and the website isn't any better I'm really glad I'm not insured by this company I have a claim against someone else who has it and its been h*** trying to get my agent this Business has to do better.

      I've had better service and now collectors are trying to collect. First off this is for Safeco. Ok let's start here, over a year ago I started looking at insurance companies and discovered my bank offered insurance called safeco, never really heard of them,but I gave them a chance, only reason being is my oldest stepson had to have a sports car,and they was the cheapest. After a year of service or so. We basically went back to our old service. The main reason was I couldn't get a hold of anyone when I needed it, have to leave messages, and every once in awhile and actually answer and this time I told the lady I wanted to cancel my service and the lady would tell her and have her call me back... I would like to say this was before my deadline.. Well 2 weeks later she calls to see what's going on and why haven't I paid yet, I told her, I already left a message about canceling, she apologized and said she wasn't here and was on vacation. (We chit chat for a bit) then she comes back with, well pay it and we get it shut down properly.. I'm dumbfounded on that cause I just use my cash for starting a new policy and I didn't have any money saved back up to repay ... plus that's the first time me changing companies that I didn't have to pay to have service, and cause of that I have collectors coming after me to pay. Which I disagree with anyways. Should not have to pay for services that I didn't use..

      As of this day August 21st, I have not received my reimbursement that was promised in March, nor will anyone return my calls or respond to my emails regarding the matter. Liberty Mutual is not trustworthy when it comes to reimbursements. Very unhappy and canceled with Liberty.

      ZERO STAR company. These reviews should be a warning to all. One claim in ************************************************ 2021. I used their remediation company, Rainbow for the clean up. They actually did damage to my AC water condensate line, which did further damage in 2022. They have turned their back and said they will not do anything. My thousands of dollars for premiums must be going to those horrendous commercials they put on TV (Liberty Mutual).

      Got into an accident with a liberty mutual customer. The other driver admitted fault. Their claims department is a nightmare to deal with, no one calls you back and when youre being shuffled around to the correct department, the representatives have the audacity to give you an attitude. Ive being trying to get ahold of the claims representative for a week now, no one from liberty mutual has reached out to me. The accident happened in the beginning of the month and were towards the end of the month. My car is still damaged. Very frustrating experience, its like they have no accountability.

      The ugliest experience I've had in my life. They send me supplements in PDF that cannot be read due to the lack of quality of the attachment.They stopped answering my emails, they stopped answering my text messages and they don't answer my calls. Both ***** Menos and ********************************** Now looking for a lawyer to pay only the damage to the car. There is no existing demand or attorney involved.
