      My horrible day was turned into an uplifting day. I'm a new instructor. Brand new. I've never done this before. I was so frustrated because I was told to start an account with ********************** to use the materials that my school decided upon. I made an account and then couldn't get in because I had to be verified as it said. I waited 7 days and nothing. I call Cengage and wait for over an hour just to speak to someone. I finally get through and the person just says hold and then I'm disconnected. Frustrated, I almost gave up. I call again, wait another hour but this time I get a pleasant father named ******. I heard his kids in the background so I knew he was home. I told him my problem and comforted me saying it's nothing to worry about and he will make sure to take care of me on that call. While he was working hard to help me, he made my day so much better. I complained about the hold but he told me how they are so busy this time of year and help students as well. We end up in conversation and I share with him how it's my first year as an educator because I was sidelined with my battle with breast cancer. He shared his story that he is a father of 6, that his father is fighting terminal lung cancer, and that even himself just found out that day that he has cancer. My heart broke. He then had to call my director to check my employment. He placed me on hold while I reflected on this blunt yet somehow joyful conversation. He came back and told me he approved my account and asked me to make sure. I DID AND I WAS ECSTATIC. I asked him why he is still working there with so much going on. His answer....He loves getting up in the morning and helping people like me. He said he loved Cengage and talked how supportive his supervisors are. All this while I hear his baby trying to talk in the background. Thank you Cengage for using real people like ****** and not just caring about getting the job done.

      Get ready for some unusual feedback: your website is terrible and takes an average of 22 seconds to load any "activity" meaning I will spend approximately 50 minutes this semester staring at a blank screen waiting for your garbage homework racket to load. Maybe it's time for your "high" standards to keep up with modern website design.

      Cengage is one of the most frustrating learning tools I've ever used. The company does not care about its most vulnerable audiences, instead opting to charge obscene prices for digital downloads and half-baked assessments. Even worse, the navigation of the e-books can be horrendous, especially for those with reading disabilities. Not to mention that the system will log you out of your account every opportunity it gets, causing endless logins and time wasted on projects and discussion assignments. I do not recommend any instruct use this program, and I have empathy for any person who is required to shell out so much money for a lackluster program

      Find your educational materials anywhere but Cengage. Once they sell you a product, dont expect any support, anyone to talk to you, or even return or respond to an email. Our district has blacklisted them and I would encourage others to do the same.

      I was scammed a huge sum of money and decided to contact a recovery company via their email address: harperjamesplatform @ gmail com they help me recover all my lost funds and profits. They are very honest and reliable with great support to answer your questions 24/7 service. They have good reviews online and they are the best ...if you need help with funds recovery you can always get in touch by mail and they can direct you to their recovery website. Everything about them is legit, their English is good ,I highly recommend them due to my experience and have finally got my $82,350 back. I'm so happy.

      Bait and Switch Scam - they offer the higher price plan where you receive actual textbooks - THEY DON'T HAVE ACTUAL TEXTBOOKS - - -each book you request "out of stock" - - - when you call to complain "it will be in stock next week". We are going on five weeks later and amazingly enough someone just now told me "it will be in stock next week"

      Absolutely horrible experience. My college uses cengage for their online and physical books. The online system seems to have been built 20 years ago and is very clunky. The physical book ordering process took over an hour on the phone and they entered an address that does not exist for my address. When I pointed it out to them they said I would need to pay an additional fee to have it corrected. Whatever you do, find a different vendor rather than work with Cengage.

      Every time I order from cengage not only is their customer service horrible in their communication is completely lacking, this is the second time I've ordered from them and clearly I had forgotten about the first time because it's exactly the same, they always leave the pending charge on your bank account for weeks after it has been paid therefore holding up my funds for absolutely no reason at all. I've already received the product it was paid weeks ago yet I still can't use the funds and they do not respond to me and then just send me an email telling me thank you for using their service my case has been closed? No response, no communication, the problem still exists but it's closed? I don't recommend this company simply for their horrible customer service and communication and the fact that I still as of this moment cannot use my funds even though they've already been paid. I guess I was expecting that they would fix the problem after the first time seeing as it's such a huge inconvenience for most people but clearly they don't really care about their customers.

      Hello,

      I apologize for the inconvenience authorizations can cause.  It appears you used PayPal as your form of payment and may have missed the messaging we include at checkout regarding how long PayPal authorizations can take.   

      "If you use PayPal, you will see a charge and a duplicate pending charge, but you will not pay twice. The duplicate pending charge will not leave the pending state but will temporarily affect your available balance. This pending authorization should resolve itself within 30 days".

      You opened a case with us on 2/15/24 to question the authorization. A reply was sent the same day advising there was only one charge and to let us know if you needed additional assistance.  After five days with no response the case was automatically closed.
