      Consistently reloading material and constant errors they will not resolve nor compensate for also. The customer service team is not friendly in resolving issues and wants to blame the customer's internet and competency which is very rude and should not be considered a valid response when making complaints about the services of the eBooks they provide.

      This is the worst software as a student. Although my teacher loves it because it allows her to not actually teach and does all the work of creating and grading homework. Their customer service is trash but Im sure professors will keep using it because it really benefits them, not students.

      Cengage actively preys on college students and it's disgusting. The site is buggy, difficult to navigate, and overall poorly designed. The lessons are simply reiterations of the textbook at best and downright wrong at worst. Overall it contributes nothing to the higher education experience as a whole, yet it has contracts with various universities against the wishes of students and professors alike. Each time a Cengage representative comes into my class to help ** buy our course at the beginning of the semester, our professor has to wait until they leave to tell ** about a cheaper way to obtain the course because the representatives are not allowed to show ** these affordable options. By forcing students to pay for access codes for their lessons, instead of buying the books themselves, Cengage essentially monopolizes the textbook industry, removing the cheaper options provided by second-hand bookstores, rentals, or university libraries. Thanks to this company higher education becomes even more expensive and inaccessible than before. Cengage is the poster child for everything that is wrong with the ******** higher education system and it should never be used in any academic setting, ever.

      Cengage was a complete mess in both courses I signed up for. After purchasing the Cengage unlimited I still was unable to get the textbook as it was out of stock and the customer service remote just made it a nightmare so much so that I filed for a refund the very next day and dropped the courses.Next, the remote customer service that filled out my first refund did not complete it and it cook about a week to find out why I had not received my refund. The second person who helped me completed it and gave me another confirmation number and **************************************** short, I will now go to my credit union and file a charge back because of all this problem....Cengage is in fact the nightmare you are reading about here....

      This company is the lowest of the low and they prey on college students. I happen to be a returning student and stayed on top of them until they gave me a refund but this will take people hours!! They trick you into purchasing access to things you do not need and dress it ** in a way where it looks like it is part of the course. Professors if you are seeing this please avoid this platform for your student's sake. It is pricier and has a bunch of low-greedy people running it. If I could give this a no star I would.

      Horrible. They're so far up their own @ss in making sure students can't use their ebooks that their 'accessibility' features actually make the ebook LESS accessible.Oh and as a bonus they make sure to hide their content behind the 20+ ad trackers that have to be fetched. I'm sorry but why the h*** does tiktok need to know ANYTHING about my education?Looking for legal options in ********** in relation to violations of data privacy. I want class action for the millions Cengage has stolen from us by forcing high cost, sub-standard products into the market. Then using OUR data to sell for additional profit.

      Scam. I purchased an ebook for 12 month subscription they ended it after 5 months and requested more money in order for me to complete my course. I have contacted them but they take for ever to contact you back and refuse to honor what I paid for. Worst customer service i have ever seen in my life. Don't purchase anything from them. They are a scam

      I am a student who has been using various Cengage products, including textbooks, MindTap, and ***, over the past two years in college. I am extremely disappointed with my experience so far. Every time a professor announces that he will be using Cengage for a course, everyone in the room groans. Cengage is by far the least user-friendly ********************** I have ever purchased products from.The textbooks are very wordy and full of fluff; it takes the authors four paragraphs to get to the point when an average textbook could explain it much more concisely in a few sentences. I once ordered a book for an economics class, paying roughly $300 for it, and I was sent loose-leaf paper with no binding.The UI for online portals and textbooks is very clustered and confusing. MindTap is also very much the same. Everything feels like an old web application from **************************************** his parents basement. It's very ugly and in no way user-friendly.I had a very poor experience using Cengage *** as well. The emulator is slow, outdated, and difficult to work with. It uses agonizingly slow text-to-speech generated videos which are very frustrating to watch. There are many problems with multiple correct solutions, but *** will only allow one of those solutions to be used. I am given three tries for exam questions, and I often lose one or two for accidental clicks or selections when *** is expecting me to complete a different step first.Overall, I feel Cengage has been an obstacle to my learning rather than a resource, and I really hope that will not have to use anymore Cengage products for my last semester in 2023.
